Ladies and Gents,

Just wondering who is doing the whole GP Series and how many boats are likely to do a selection of events, and if so, which ones?

"Taking Back Sunday" is definitely doing the following:

1. NSW State Titles (RMYC) October 6th & 7th;
2. Canberra Spring Cup (CYC) October 20th (only).

Not sure about the regattas later on in the season as those will depend on crew arrangements and also my committment to the Cherub.

WalterTurnbull a lined up for the first 2.

As well as
Canberra
Nationals
B2B

with hopefully Wintersun and Airlie Beach as well.

More idea as the season unfolds, and the families are kept happy!

Yep, but I know I have it easy. And Michelle thinking I'm a grump if I haven't gone sailing.

Yeah, that's me too - pretty angry character when I haven't been for a sail for a while! If your missus' aren't already part of the crew, you should get them on board. That way they can't be upset everytime you need to do a regatta. That's my strategy, anyway...

We haven't sailed together since we got married.... and we are still, so best leave it that way!

No, no, no. You need common interests, that way you can't be angry - except if you lose, and let's face it - second is the first loser (I've done a fair bit of losing, then...)!!!

There's plenty of blokes out there who rush home after sailing to keep the missus happy - instead, your missus is there (because she sails on the boat), she probably doesn't drink as much (mine barely at all), hence you get a ride home when you're half-cut after talking the race over with the boys (and girls). Works a treat.

Ask Davo - he's the same, sails with his better half and loves it. Damn we've had some good races over the years!!! Your missus - if she loves sailing too - can be the best crew you've ever had! Certainly the best crew I've had!

Been there done plenty of that, happy to go for a sail, but no racing.

Davo was still getting walked to school when we raced together!

And we have two big common interests which take quite a bit.

If you have to rush home, then you probably shouldn't have been there in the first place!
