Sat 25th March we entered The Flying Doctor in an annual event for multihulls from Goolwa S.A. up the River Murry across Lake Alexandrina, where we are holding round 6 of the grand prix series, back into the river again finishing at Wellington. A distance of 30 miles.
Beam reach all the way with a 25kt sou wester. Average speed for the race 12kts, the little girl absolutely flew. Water depth in the lake averaged 2mtrs plus so all looks ok for Easter.
Those who intend coming from Vic. or N.S.W. will really enjoy themselves as Milang is in the middle of the Langhornes Creek wineries which are famous for their full bodied reds. The hospitality at the Milang Regatta Club is second to none. Contact me if interested.
