Good point to bring up about running the nationals in a different state each year.
But you need to work out how many of the boats from that state will come out and compete, against the boats now travelling regularly, and where the class will end up with the most boats.
I'm all in favour of a Brisbane nationals and its not a whole lot further to travel from Canberra or Sydney against going south to Melbourne. I've done two of your NSW states and the fuel cost alone was quite hefty and with fuel now at $1.45 Melbourne is out for me this year, only due to me building a house.

Gday All, I am the guy that bought Danger Zone up here in Qld sailing out of WMYC. Just wanted to say Hi and let you you know that we will be sailing every chance we get. The crew is getting sorted and we are preparing for our first big race, the City to Surf this weekend. Should be fun.
If you guys ever cant get enough sailing I would strongly suggest you look at the game virtual skipper 5

www.vsk-aus.com

Dam fine yacht simulator and great for your tatics and match racing skills. Plus a very high quality virtual yacht club with regular racing.

Good Winds All !!!

If your sailing out of WMYC I'll give you a tip - don't get caught in the bar with a tall blond headed E7 owner or his bobsy twin crew !!!!!

In regard to Nationals I was thinking Port Stephens or be really daring and offshore at Coffs Harbour.

An absolutely cracker Surf to City this year. Omen and Barney Army neck and neck for 7hrs. A maximum of 10 boat lengths separated us for the entire race. The lead changed numerous times and coming into the finish it looked like Omen would take the prize. We gybed for the boat which was heavily favored to pip them by a nose hair.

Absolutely cracker sailing.

Wet boat V dry boat, WET BOAT WINS!!!!!!!!

What a fantastic day.

With the amount of Elliotts sailing between RQ and Manly, would it be possible to organise some regular racing with us all. There were 2 out last Sunday from WMYC and it's great to have something to really sail against rather than a handicap. Danger Zone is up for anything and the crew are readily available.

Even a RQ vs WYMC teams race :) would be fun to once a month.
Something like this might get those parked boats out on the water where they belong.

Did you come up with any dates for a Qld states?
What about a progressive regatta involving the S2C, B2B, Qld trailer titles and the St Helena Cup.
:ph43r: Or run them with the Qld Trailer Titles we were ask to do that when Brian had Excellerate in Yeppoon. QTT are in Yeppoon for the next 2 years.

Will have 5 starters for our first race of the season next weekend.

Spoke to the owner of Twister yesterday at Scarborough and I reckon I can convince him to bring his boat down as well. That could make 6, the biggest dilemma seems to be finding crew.
