Why an E7?; How did you choose this design/ class...

Guests on this site may not be as familiar with the design as the boat owners. Here is a chance to fill them in on why we have developed the E7 habit...

The E7 is quick, has a simple but adjustable single spreader rig with no backstay.
It is light and easy to handle (on and off the trailer). Bulb keel gives ability to carry a fair bit of sail but is not so deep that it gets in the way when stepping the mast (easier than many sports trailables).

Cabin room is enough for an overnighter without having to sleep on the beach. Class is established, one design and supportive. Still one of the best looking boats on the water (me biased?!).

All round great fun and easy to own. enjoy. :D

Did danger zone sell the other day? Any idea what it fetched?
Can you sink an E7 ?
Do you always need a basketball team (including reserves) to race one?
Can you sail one single handed.
If not could you set one up to sail single handed or with a passenger.
Up to what knots would you carry a kite?
Is there a standard setup for the staunchions and safety rails - Can you set up your own configuration ? - significant party paranoid about open tuck.
What did it cost to put an E7 in the water when they first came out - 1993?
Is there a table showing boat number and construction date?
I see logos on a lot of boats from various sponsors - are there any rules about this?
Have any been set up for serious cruising or are they really sleeping bag and butane burner overniters? Has anyone seen any Bull 7000's around?
How many full racing seasons is a set of sails good for?
Sorry about silly questions but this usually means we is getting serious.

Did danger zone sell the other day? Any idea what it fetched? Sorry no
Can you sink an E7 ? Only if you try really hard, but no you can capsize and there will be not egress of water into the cabin
Do you always need a basketball team (including reserves) to race one? 4-5 people
Can you sail one single handed. Yep
If not could you set one up to sail single handed or with a passenger. Easier than on your own
Up to what knots would you carry a kite? Me 30 - its all up to you and how stupid you are
Is there a standard setup for the staunchions and safety rails - Can you set up your own configuration ? - significant party paranoid about open tuck. We have two staunchions we can put in for criusing with the kids and it is fine
What did it cost to put an E7 in the water when they first came out - 1993? See attached article
Is there a table showing boat number and construction date? We are updating it now so if you want to let me know which boat
I see logos on a lot of boats from various sponsors - are there any rules about this? No
Have any been set up for serious cruising or are they really sleeping bag and butane burner overniters? Has anyone seen any Bull 7000's around? Its like camping
How many full racing seasons is a set of sails good for? Depends on use but 2-3 years
Sorry about silly questions but this usually means we is getting serious. I don't think anyboady regrets buying one, I certianly don't (my liver does though)
