![]() R.O.B.O.T.S. - Realistic online bouts of technological scuffles ROLEPLAYS WILL BE DONE THROUGH A SUBREDDIT TO AVOID LOSING HALF THE SEASON'S RPS WHEN WE MOVE SERVERS. Link: https://www.reddit.com/r/ROBOTSrproom/ Signup Deadline: July 1st. Competition starts July 7th. Staff: The_Angry_Goat Rocket_III Wolf51-50 attackfrog Ripsnorter Hooray For Lexan (I think?) each week, there will be 32 fights, assuming 16 competitors per weight class. I will not make anyone wrote more than 8 matches, which means that we need at least 4 writers (3 including myself). In the even that we do not get 4 writers before June 1st (or more if people are unwilling to write 8 matches per week), this competition will be cancelled. Competitors: Competitor cap is 16 per weight class. those of you with stars by your names did not register for the specific weight class before it filled. you're welcome to prepare robots to replace someone who drops out, but you are unlikely to be allowed to compete in that weight class. Green indicates that participation is confirmed Featherweight: 15/16 The_Angry_Goat V900 Trihunter Wolf Badnik Guilden Rocket HFL GF93 Laz Monsterworks attackfrog Pat TBR NoisyGiraffe Shaba Lightweight: 16/16 The_Angry_Goat V900 Trihunter Wolf Badnik Guilden Rocket HFL GF93 Laz Shaba attackfrog Pat TBR Giraffe Syl Middleweight: 16/16 The_Angry_Goat V900 Trihunter Wolf Badnik Guilden Rocket HFL GF93 Syl Laz Shaba attackfrog Pat TBR Giraffe Heavyweight: 16/16 The_Angry_Goat V900 Trihunter Wolf Badnik Guilden Rocket HFL GF93 Shaba Laz Monsterworks attackfrog Pat TBR NoisyGiraffe Banned robots Flying robots Multibots that incorporate both a walking robot and a robot with a different movement style (other mixed designs, such as a shuffler and a wheeled bot are fine, since there is no difference in stat allocations between the types.) Sign-up Information: There will be 4 weight classes; Featherweight, Lightweight, Middleweight and Heavyweight. Each weight class will be limited to 16 robots (I may up this to 20 if there's enough interest and enough writers, but I'd rather not). Each competitor may enter up to 1 robot per weight class, so weight classes must be signed up for individually; this means that you may enter in as few or as many weight classes as you would like. This also means that you must specify in your signup post the weight classes you are signing up for. If you say "reserve," you have given me no information and will not be assigned any weight class spots. Since this is a competition with few slots, I want each competitor committed to actually finishing the tournament. There will be a re-check of interest 1 week before signups close: if a competitor does not notify me of their continued interest (either through a discord PM/ping, through a post on the discussion page, or via a forum PM), they will be removed from the competition. Additionally, entrants who forfeited more than 4 rounds (or 16 matches) of Ruination 4 will not be eligible to compete in this competition. As usual, robots will be assigned 30 points to be divided among the following categories as to the desires of the builder; Speed Traction Torque Weapon Armor matches will round robin, with robots randomly assorted into groups of 8. I'd like to do swiss, but as Robot Bastards is showing, having to wait for all the writers to get their shit together before you move onto the next week extends your tournament to all hell :V Role Play Rules -> You’ll be expected to follow proper role-play etiquette; no directly referencing others RPs, whether in your reply RP, or bringing it up in the discussion thread. If you don't trust the staff's bullshit detectors, don't play. ->This applies especially in terms of verbosity; RPs should not involve a 10 page dissertation of everything wrong with his robot and exactly how great your robot is; writers are expected to recognize this. Please do not force the results writer to have to wade through over a thousand words just to get to the damn point of your strategy; this is how we get writer fatigue. "Spin2Win" is legitimately enough sometimes. -> There's a soft RP length limit of 500 words. In the event that a single competitor consistently violates this rule and writers complain about it to me, that specific person will be given a hard limit of 500 words. See Josh, I'm learning :V -> Excessive public complaints about match results/arrogance leading up to a fight will result in you forfeiting for all robots in the next week. I get that legit mistakes happen that are worth complaining about (and that we will fix if it's bad enough), and some of y'all like to have the "tough guy" persona; that's fine, just don't go overboard on it (and I will not be able to make this decision on my own - I or any of the staff members can put it to a majority vote if it actually becomes an issue. doubt it will though, y'all're chill). -> Use proper grammar and spelling; if we can't understand what you're saying, you aren't allowed to get mad about it :V -> Fight cards will be posted on Sunday usually (as are results, mostly), and you will have one week to post your RPs. If the fight card is, for whatever reason, late, RPs will still be due on Saturday, barring some really long delay. -> All RPs are due Saturday at 9 PM Pacific Time (midnight Eastern time, and I think 5 o'clock for you brits - and no using that daylights savings time excuse! :V). For consistency's sake, no late RPs will be accepted; if you can't RP on time or something comes up, get someone to RP for you. -> If a robot has configurations that change the stat allocations of said robot (ex. Most swiss-army bots), or change the style of weapon (ex. a robot that can attach either a vertical or horizontal spinner – this should cover the rest of the swiss-army designs :P), its user must notify its opponent which configuration it is using. Other bots are not required to do so, but you're welcome to do so (especially if someone asks and it's not integral to your strategy - remember, don't be a dick :V). For this tournament, this will include the following robots: Hat Garage Gigaflare Tulta Munille Godfather ->Fights will be judged for a total of 15 points, divided equally among 3 categories; Aggression (who initiated the attack, who's running away, who's running into fights, use of weapons - this is all regardless of how intelligent it was to do these things), Damage (obvious, I'd hope), and Control (similar to the old criteria's strategy; takes into account the intelligence of actions like a spinner running away to get their weapon up to speed, or a driver who refuses to abandon a strategy even though it is clearly not working). Stat system: The point system will be the same as previous tournaments with 30 points being divided up between Speed, Traction, Torque, Armor, and Weapon. The main set of rules can be found here: http://s10.zetaboards.com/Drowning_City_Forums/topic/9024643/1/#new A few notes: ->Administrators reserve the right to modify a bot's individual stats based on discrepancies with the picture of the design. The administrators also have the right to reject any robot submission, stat allocation or design aspect that is considered to be unfair or exploiting the rules in any way. This especially applies to exploitative designs; I don't really care if you found this tiny part of the rules that technically makes what you're doing OK, because I'm more concerned with making everything fair than allowing for that shit. Yes this is because of Brimstone ![]() ->All information about adjustable set-ups must be stated in the original post – linked albums or other such things may contain additional pictures to avoid clutter, but should not unintentionally hide extra information. ->A few modifications to the rules shall be made, as follows: 1) Weapon power is limited at 16. Our arena cannot consistently withstand the super high power spinners being entered these days. 2) -The time it takes for a hammer to go through one full swing (hit and retract) will be done as follows: 1-5: 1 second 6-10: 1.5 second 10-15: 2 seconds 16+: 3 seconds -hammers, flippers and the like will be capable of self damaging when flipping themselves if the weapon power is 5 more than body armor, taking 1 point of corner damage per stat point above this level. 3) Multibots are allowed (up to a maximum of 6 total robots), and will be given points under the monkeywrench ruleset. Your main bot starts with 30 points (or 32 for walkers) and has to give up 1 point to add a second bot. In return, this new bot will receive 4 stat points. Your main bot's total stat points must be equal to or greater than any other secondary bot created from those stat points. An example would be having 3 bots: a secondary bot would be (5 main bot points * 4 stat points = 20 usable points), another secondary bot would be (5 * 4 = 20), and the main bot would be (30 – 5 – 5 = 20). All 3 robots will have 20 stat points. Another example would be: secondary bot (3 * 4 = 12), secondary bot ( 5 * 4 = 20), main bot (30 – 3 – 5 = 22). 4) -Walkers will have 2 extra points to reflect their weight bonus. They gain no weapon armor bonuses, are limited to 2 torque, are limited to a maximum of 10 armor (this includes armor bonuses), and the legs will receive a -1 bonus to their armor. -Shufflers will receive no weight bonus and therefore no stat bonus. They also have no stat limitations! to clarify, since people have recently shown confusion: walkers gain no armor bonus to the weapon. at all. if you give an armor bonus to a wedge, your weapon has armor equal to the chassis armor, unless any part of it is within the bonused area, in which case that part gets whatever armor bonus you gave it. 5)for every point of speed over 8 invested in a robot, traction will receive a -1 penalty. this means that a robot with spd/tra of 10/9 will function as a 10/7. this is to represent the difficulty of controlling a high speed robot - this means that you may not argue that point in an RP against a robot, since it'll already be represented in the stats ![]() 6)modular robots may not transfer any more than 5 stat points from weapon to armor (and vice versa) between different modules. Additionally, body armor and drivetrain stats must stay consistent across all modules. V900 is preemptively banned for trying to abuse this :V 7)Impacts can affect more than just the area directly impacted. Robots with high armor bonuses can still experience damage to the mountings of the bonused area, or have internal components knocked loose. This can never directly cause a KO or catastrophic damage, but may cause things to stop working or parts to fall off with enough hits. It will count as flat surface damage, and be equal to half the damage a weapon gives out (IE if it deals 14 damage to the front wedge, 7 is given to the main body). ARENA: The Box. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 45'x45' arena, mostly hazard-less. Robots start in the corners to make box rushing a bit more difficult. There's a 2 foot gap between the inner and outer walls, and the lexan is multi-layered and extremely thick. The inner red walls are 1.5 ft tall, meaning that with a bit of luck heavyweight clamps and lifters might even get a TKO via stranding. the purple extensions raise the wall height to 3'2", something that only powerful flippers and vertical spinners will be able to capitalize on. The floor is seamed, which could pose issues for hyper low bots. Edited by The_Angry_Goat, Jul 9 2018, 08:04 PM.

swiggity swoogity Featherweight: Epic Waluigi ![]() Waluigi may not be in Ultimate Smash Bros vs Capcom 3, but that won't stop him from appearing in ROBOTS. You know Black Dog? That annoying drum that specializes in screwing over plow-stackers? Near-identical stats, but the damage from this thing is even harder to avoid. Featherweight
|
![]() --- FW: Chainsaws: they're cool! Not so useful in robot combat, though... unless you can grab hold of an enemy and apply pressure. Thanks to a chance encounter with a Husqvarna, Team Worst Swordsman is proud to present its first featherweight: TREE SURGEON! Large picture, small robot Speed: 5 Traction: 3 Torque: 2 Weapon: 10 Armour: 10 Method of Locomotion: Caterpillar Tracks Tree Surgeon's weapon is essentially a chainsaw on a couple of sticks that acts as a guillotine; the arm is capable of moving through 270 degrees and can be used to self-right the robot itself. The weapon's power source is a powerful electric motor connected to a drive shaft inside the right arm, which is commensurately more thickly-armoured than the other. The tracks are small and wide, and housed inside the robot's chassis rather than be exposed, though obviously they will be if it gets turned over. The front wedge is shallow and has hinged feeder wedgelets, allowing it to get underneath opponents and have them ride up the wedge. From there, it can bring down the saw and cut through the top armour of its opponents, with constantly applied pressure courtesy of an innovative electric-hydraulic combination actuator as pioneered by King Of Bots S1 champion Spectre. The conical protrusion at the top of the wedge is there to prevent monstertrucking and force the opponent to stay put without any more moving parts, since weight is something of an issue. There's no telling how well it'll actually, y'know, work, but that's half the fun. =] --- LW: With The Revenge of Psychosprout busy being strange and Accelerator undergoing a deshittification process, your friends at Team Worst Swordsman decided to do what all the COOL kids are doing... aaaaand make a vert. Fun! Here it is, in all its olive drab glory: HOBART! Some Large Pictures Stats:- Speed: 6 Traction: 4 Torque: 1 Weapon: 15 (14 weapon, 1 srimech) Armour: 4 (+2 weapon) Method of Locomotion: Tank tracks Hobart is a vertical spinner, because that's what all the cool kids are making these days, but it does have a little of that Team Worst Swordsman flair that other teams simply dismiss as, er, incomptence. The pricks. Anyway, this uses the fact that flail chains flex to its (alleged) advantage, spinning them the "wrong" way and using them as a Deadblow-style ultra-fast electric hammer. It has a powerful drivetrain and the ability to do some good wedging courtesy of its ground-scraping hinged wedgelets, and when things get dangerous it can swap over to a more conventional vertical bar and take people on that way. A riff on the ever-popular Black Dog statline, this is a fast and punishing robot that... will probably completely fail against the numerous better lightweights in the division, but screw it, we're having fun! =] --- MW: After Riptide's entry into Reckoning: Revival, it was brought to Team Worst Swordsman's attention that the name was already in use by at least three other teams. Since this really rather betrayed everything the team stood for in terms of naming conventions, they spent ages trying to find a new name. Now, awaiting a new paint job and colour scheme from anyone in shouting distance, here comes:- DRAGONFIST! A large picture courtesy of Badnik Speed: 3 Traction: 1 Torque: 1 Weapon: 15 Armour: 10 Method of Locomotion: Wheels Dragonfist is an undercutting shell spinner, but you might also have noticed the whacking great flails sticking out of the top. This is so that it can attack enemies in a combination of ways - with the flails finding weak spots and the undercutters taking out enemy wheels when they get in close. After extensive testing of the shuffler mechanism, the team got a call from the competition management informing us that the usual weight bonus for shufflers was suspended; thus, to make weight, we elected to ditch the system and bung wheels in it instead. Don't look at me like that, if it's good enough for Team Terrafonix it's good enough for us. --- HW: The daddy of the team, the first robot ever designed by Team Worst Swordsman and probably the most effective, with the power and the glory of an association with 15th-century Bohemian peasant uprisings, for the first time in ARC, here is:- TABOR MARK II: OMNI-DIRECTIONAL ASSAULT BOOGALOO! Some pictures of Tabor Speed: 6 Traction: 4 Torque: 3 Weapon: 7 (5 for the turret, 5 for the lifter) Armour: 10 (+2 on the scoop, in addition to weapon armour) Movement Type: 4WD wheels (wedging accomplished through ground-scraping lifter shenanigans) Tabor's body is essentially two boxes stacked on top of each other. The lower section houses the wheels and related gubbins, as well as the motor for the upper section. This is a fast-moving turret with an arm fixed to each end; these arms can rotate vertically around their axis through 360 degrees, and are attached to a large, extremely tough scoop on the front. The turret is slightly wider than the lower section, so that the robot can more easily self-right. The scoop is shock-mounted to the arms, and there is a compression mechanism where the scoop is mounted to the arms so that big hits from spinners will be negated further. In short, this is the bastard child of Behemoth, Shockwave, Tazbot, and an extremely weird game of Jenga. It's an odd design, but I think it's got at least some potential, especially now that I've refined it a bit. Edited by Rocket_III, Jul 8 2018, 04:39 PM.

Going to reserve for all classes. When the time comes, I'll have some bots made and be ready to kick some ass! EDIT: And here they are! ...well, at least one of 'em. I'll have them all ready ASAP, definitely within this weekend. FW -- Private Iron ![]() Ten-hut! Following in the footsteps of War Bastard comes this new recruit for Ice Cubed Robotics' featherweight division. Taking notes from designs like K-Torze and K2, it's a tough little 4WD vertical spinner with a surprising amount of power for its size thanks to the enormous vertical spinner that it can use to demolish and fling even the toughest opponents, and a huge variety of interchangeable options for both spinner payloads and wedges that allow it to be tricky as well as hard-hitting. Speed: 5 Traction: 2 Torque: 1 Weapon: 15 Armour: 7 Notes: Can both run inverted and self-right using gyro-dancing. Front wedges interchangeable for reversible forks or tall anti-overhead plates (all are limited to stop them folding over or under the machine), the disc is interchangeable for a bar or K2-style triblade, and the sides can optionally accomodate "Donk Denial Dud" missile pods (titanium rails covered in soft impact-resistant HDPE/plastic) to protect against flails. LW: Der Metzgermeister ![]() "Denn du bist, was du isst, und ihr wisst, was es ist!" Der Metzgermeister is a relatively new type of machine on ARC -- an overhead vertical spinner, ala Vulture and Bonfire from Robot Wars and King of Bots, respectively. Consisting of a downward-spinning vertical disc/bar (with interchangeable payloads) on a moveable arm, it's capable of arcing over the usual types of anti-spinner defences (ploughs/wedges, etc.) and attacking the more vulnerable chassis behind them. To aid in this as well (and for some wicked-sick pyrotechnics), it's also got a flamethrower built into the arm to spray flames into the open wounds. So it cooks as well as slaughters! Speed: 5 Traction: 3 Torque: 2 Weapon: 14 (Overhead vertical spinner on moveable arm with built-in flamethrower -- 12/1/1, in order.) Armour: 6 (+2 front wedge) Notes: Can self-right using the movable arm if flipped, and can also run inverted with it folded inward if needed. Hinged wedgelets are removeable if needed. Named and themed after the Rammstein song Mein Teil, in turn referencing a 2001 murder committed by the Rotenburg Cannibal. MW: Axtinguisher ![]() "I fear no man. But that... thing. It scares me." It's back -- no changes to walker rules could keep this monstrosity down for long! Returning after its pretty decent Fourth-Place finish in the first ROBOTS, Axtinguisher has since been converted from the somewhat-questionable Manta/Glacier-style walker setup to a Mecanum Wheel drive setup (ala Sundancer or Mega Melvin/BLUE) enabling it to freely move sideways and keep itself facing its opponent or angle in on any weak points with one of the things that did stay from last time; the vicious electric-driven flamethrower-axe that can not only smash through almost anything, but also potentially set them alight by blowing flames down into the open wounds. The old Puff and Sting returns with a vengeance!Speed: 5 Traction: 3 (4-wheel Mecanum Drive) Torque: 1 Weapon: 13 (Electric-driven Blunt Axe with built-in Flamethrower. 12 +1 hammer bonus/13 power for Axe, and 1 for the Flamethrower.) Armour: 8 (+1 for front wedge) Note: Can quickly self-right with the Axe, and can also strike below itself with it when something is underneath. Runs on four-wheel Mecanum drive. Although the robot is named and themed after the Pyro melee weapon from Team Fortress 2, the weapon's primary design influence was the Flamethrower-Axe wielded by Matt Helms, from No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle. HW- I.C.R. Speedwagon ![]() A revised and modernised take on a concept that I made for TBR a long time ago, this high-octane fighting machine takes its place on the starting grid! Built around a ;ow, sleek Formula-inspired racecar-like chassis complete with rear spoiler and (faux) air intakes, I.C.R. Speedwagon runs on a fast and powerful 4WD system, and comes equipped with a pair of strong flippers -- one rear-hinged that's set into the body and front wedge tips, and one front-hinged arm set into the cockpit. Either one can self-right the machine effectively, and with all the power and versatility that Speedwagon comes packing, don't blink -- or you might just not register him making you his next victim of Ice Cubed-style road rage! Speed: 7 Traction: 5 Torque: 3 Weapon: 4 (twin flippers, running on 3 power each. One rear-hinge, one front-hinge.) Armour: 11 Notes: Can self-right with either type of flipper as needed. Runs on 4WD, and rear wheels protrude out back slightly to allow the machine to easily drive off wedges as needed. Has a replica "Beep-Beep" horn installed -- based on that of a 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner -- that can be set to sound when it goes on the attack, ala Roadblock and its two-tone Police Siren in Robot Wars Series 2. Featherweight No fancy bullshit like songs n' stuff. This is Vicious. Vicious ![]() Vicious is back to hit you like a freight train, only this time, I've gone a bit Nuts. Ya, it's a flail spinning melty-brain with a party trick that Imma reveal later so y'all can't change your bots/stats to counter it way ahead of time. ![]() The full length of the flails is best described as "long AF", and hopefully they'll cause a lot of sneaky or ricochet damage like Nuts did in RW S10. There are shorter versions for people who aren't believers. Also, ABR wedges because. ![]() I tried to pay more attention to detail than your average TinkerCAD user because A E S T H E T I C S. The chains on the chassis are ornamental, and can be detached at one end to act as entanglement devices when permitted, or simply removed and replaced with ballast. ![]() I like hexagons. Step Four: Win at life. Krakatoa ![]() I wanted to do something a bit different, so I went with a Complete Control - inspired design. It uses tracks for mobility to make good on the dismal failure that was my only previous tracked robot: Savage. ![]() The lifter is positioned a bit further back on the body to prevent overbalancing when picking something up. There are also a pair of removable skids under the black lifter pontoons for stability. Check the album linked in the title if you wanna take a look. You'll also find a plow-only off-config. Obviously, the bot can self-right. ![]() The flames come out of two nozzles and aren't just single-point things for pretty effects. They can actually do some damage with prolonged enough contact. ![]() The track system is a point of particular pride. I used a picture of the old Sherman tank outside of the army base where I used to train as a reference for them. They consist of 1083 individual components. Anyone is welcome to use them. ![]() Speed: 7 // Traction: 6 // Torque: 2 // Weapon: 5 (3/3/3 in clamp config) // Armour: 10 Step Five: Squidward. The last one was actually a bit of a rush job. ![]() The new version is actually a bit more compact than the old, but boasts better wheel protection, more ground clearance, and a drum with slightly more range. ![]() The front portions of the skids/feeder wedges are removable if need be, as are the upper stoppers and wheelguards. ![]() 6 speed / 4 traction / 1 torque / 14 weapon / 5 armour (+1 drum or +1 upper panel) Who let the dogs out!? Provisionally in. FW: RipTide Stoked to hang ten and carve some epic waves while shouting "Cowabunga!" it's... RipTide ![]() This totally rad drum spinner leaves nothing but wipeouts and noodled opponents in its wake, courtesy of its speed, hella gnar wedges, and giant, hollow weapon. The types of skids from stubby to longboard for different matchups, so RipTide won't eat it if any kooks try some shit. If that's your thing, it also comes with added longboard awesomeness (extra long wedge teeth) and boogieboard lulz (extra short wedge teeth) ![]() 6 speed / 4 traction / 1 torque / 10 weapon / 9 armour (+1 wedgelets) LW: Magnolia Piccolino Stats TBA MW: Finishing Move 7 speed / 6 traction / 2 torque / 5 weapon / 12 armour HW: Magnolia Grande ~ Magnolia Grande ~ ![]() Equipped with dual counter-rotating blades chain driven by a single enormous radial engine through a series of idlers, Magnolia Grande boasts impressive durability, horrifying destructive capabilities, and virtually insurmountable range. ![]() The exhaust pipes for the massive radial that powers the weaponry are mounted at the rear of the robot. The entire chassis is also segmented and different parts are shock-mounted, allowing it to flex with impacts and hopefully absorb incoming damage better than it otherwise would. ![]() The track pods provide a wide stance for stability as well as rapid turning and a zero turning circle. They are designed to have many redundant rollers that protrude above and below the protective armour. If the treads are disabled, the machine can still run (albeit less effectively) on these rollers. ![]() The robot is fully invertible and quite low to the ground. It has a fairly large footprint, even moreso with both of its blades spinning. The tips pass only a couple of centimeters from each other, but there is no danger of them colliding. 4 speed / 2 traction / 1 torque / 16 weapon / 7 armour If anyone's interested in going halfsies here, I wouldn't mind. Let's give this another try, with... Middleweight S P E E D ![]() I was thinking about how Ecstasy was surprisingly successful. It was really a combo of avoiding being hit (mostly due to numbers and being kinda quick) and having decent control weapons that could constantly disrupt opponents. I also like rainbows, and throwing things, so yup... ![]() I wondered if I could make that concept work with a single, full-sized robot. Obviously, it'd need to be blazing fast in order to cleanly flank directional spinners and other weapons, and totally avoid getting hit. It would also need a quick weapon (flipper!) to stop them from just pivoting while it's wedging them. Shell and other 360 spinners would be its kryptonite, so ![]() In order to provide a small target, it'd need to be Minotaur levels of compact, which is what I've tried to make it. This is a really small middleweight! Being low was also a priority, allowing it slip right under the bars of overcutters and a lot of overhead spinners in general. ![]() I decided to give it mecanums to make flanking even easier. With mecanums, it should be able to keep its front pointed at opponents while circle strafing, removing the wasted time of turning from the equation. I'm not sure if this'll work, but S P E E D will hopefully be insanely hard to actually hit and have a flipper capable of chaining opponents or scoring an OOTA. I'm hoping that its armour will be enough to avoid any serious ramming damage from your standard 7/8 speed brick. ![]() So, it has stats: 9 speed / 9 traction / 2 torque / 2 weapon / 8 armour (+3 front) Heavyweight Grapes of Wrath ![]() So it's a big, bad vert with a Nightmare-sized blade and some hinged wheelguards. It's invertible, though on one side it has sharp feeder skids and on the other, the blade protrudes past the supports, forcing you to face it. ![]() None of the pics I took really show it well, but the main point of this bot is to have a lot of range and be able to turn a bit to hit bots that try to sneak past its weapon. IDK if it'll work, but it's something I wanted to try. ![]() So yeah, with all of the whitewall tires and exhaust pipes and vines, this was an homage to the Monsterworks school of bot building, mostly because I wanted to see if I could ape it convincingly, and a bit because I just miss my brother, I guess. ![]() Stats? I can try lol: 4 speed / 2 traction / 1 torque / 16 weapon / 7 armour |

The comeback is now definitely on. I'm entering featherweight, middleweight and heavyweight. FW : Bruxish - Getting a run out before Pandemonium starts, this 2WD flipper is based on the Pokemon of the same name. The flipper is pneumatically powered and fires using a piston to push the flipper up and is retracted by bungee cords as is now common on British flippers. It also features an optional Shellder tongue to allow it extra reach when fighting spinners. There are also a pair of small fins at the back corners that push the front into the ground for zero ground clearance. Speed: 7 | Weapon: 8 (7/1 for fins) | Armour: 10 | Traction: 3 | Torque: 2 CAD - https://skfb.ly/6zZOF ![]() ![]() ![]() LW : Killjoy 2 - A complete redesign of the old featherweight Razer clone, Killjoy 2 now comes with a sawblade attached to a hydrualic arm. This allows it to cut into an opponents' armour at a slower pace but avoids jamming up the blade and stopping it. The arm can also be used for self righting. It's 2WD powered by brushless motors and has two different plows: A three pronged plow that will be usually be used and a flat "anti-spinner" plow designed to take hits and push about its' opponent. Speed: 6 | Weapon: 10 (9/1 for arm) | Armour: 9 (+2 front plow) | Traction: 3 | Torque: 2 CAD - https://skfb.ly/6AoVH ![]() ![]() Anti Spinner Plow ![]() MW : Vortex 2 - Vortex returns as a MW and with a complete redesign. Vortex 2 now has a single toothed drum spinner mounted on a four-bar lifting mechanism allowing it to spin the drum up to full speed before punching it out into the underside of an opponent. The design is not intended to do damage but harness the kinetic energy of the drum spinner into a more powerful flip. The drum, lifter and drive have a pair of brushless motors each and the whole robot is made of 5mm hardox. Speed: 6 | Traction: 4 | Torque: 3 | Weapon: 7 (Lifter: 5 | Drum: 5) | Armour: 10 (+1 front wedge) CAD - https://skfb.ly/6zZOG ![]() ![]() ![]() HW : Vertigo 3 - Vertigo is back in its' 3rd iteration. Made smaller and more compact with 4WD, this new version uses four brushless motors to deliver a more powerful drive for less weight. The vertical spinner is still powered by an Etek but is now on a powered arm allowing to push its front spikes onto the ground and to double as a srimech. It can also be used as a pair of lifting spikes should the weapon fail. The blade has also been redesigned to be asymetric and allowing for more bite. The armour is 5mm Hardox surrounding a titanium chassis. Speed: 5 | Weapon: 14(1 for arm) | Armour: 8 | Traction: 2 | Torque: 1 CAD - https://skfb.ly/6zZzo ![]() ![]()

Why? Because fuck you, that's why. The white little thingies are LED strips, and there's LED strips under the chassis that slowly change colors between gold, and tyrian purple. -- MW: Neophyte Redglare ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Speed: 7 Traction: 6 Torque: 3 Weapon: 2 (1/1 split between the lifting wedge and forks) Armor: 12 (+1 front wedge) The Lowdown Legislacerator returns once more for a final bout at the realm of CFL, and this time--she's packing alot more tricks up her sleeve than one would expect! The weapons are electric motor-operated lifters, and have been set to operate independently. The wedge can move around 45 degrees up and down, and the lifting forks can move 90 degrees forward. In order to prevent Square Wave Syndrome when lifting opponents up on it's wedge, the back of the robot is filled with counterweight ballasts. Edited by The_Angry_Goat, Jul 10 2018, 07:12 PM.

Still more than enough to OOTA deathspinners, though.
