Everybody, upon witnessing Clown Recluse's paintjob: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qn977W9HjWM Alright. This is gonna be a 2-state fight: 1 state for when Clown is being a VS, one when when he's being a HS. I'm gonna make the assumption that he's starting as a HS: i know he can change between them and DOESN'T have to declare, but he should as if he was a VS it would allow me time to rush at him, angle in to the side of the weapon structurebefore he settles fully into a HS form, whereas if he was a HS I'd have to let him just deflect off the front of my wedge. Anyways. As soon as the match starts, spin up the drum, keep away from him till my drum is ready. While it's far back, if he deflects awkwardly off my wedge he may fly into the drum, and if he doesn't it's good practice to have the drum ready for an immediate counterattack. Keep a very close eye on the bar, see which way it's spinning, and attack if from the side it's spinning towards so that he slowly gets fed up the wedge, grinding at it and losing some of the power in the blade as he does, and does not hit it side on. This should minimise damage to me and get my weapon ready for the mother of all counter-attacks. Once he bounces off immediately move after him to try and get on the offensive. Keep doing this till he switches to VS: if I can't interrupt the transformation and murder him (like if anything is gonna break that system, p sure doing this would), just get ready to drive around the weapon struts and attack either directly onto the chassis or angle my way into the weapon supports to cause massive damage there, wedge under that and Muller Corner Dessert TM him. Keep flanking, but be VERY careful to avoid letting him take out a wheel: even let him take a shot at the rear of my chassis if necessary to avoid losing a wheel (although, i might be able to Pulsar-Dance my way out of a immobilisation counter if i can get out my circumference and get closer to him: turn off the drum and try to slide across the floor in some situations) as while i might be able to barely cling to life and win after taking a chassis hit, after i lose a wheel i'm boned. Avoid the hazards, but if i can get him to go near them that might help with giving me opportunities to attack. May the best bot win. Holy jesus this might just be the fight of the week. |

Start horizontal. Get spun up and move out to the arena center. Take the initiative and go for his front. Looking at Raus, I notice two things. First, he's fairly narrow, so gyrodancing will limit his turning ability, which Ava admits in his description. This should nullify his slight speed advantage and keep him from getting past my weapon. Second, his drum is very high up on his wedge, and I should have no trouble hitting the wedge before the drum touches me. If he tries to go for my weapon supports, turn to keep the blade pointed at him and move in to hit him before he can recover from gyrodancing. If he seems to be attacking head-on, watch for him trying to angle into my spin direction to make my bar ride up his wedge. If he wants to play that came, turn slightly in the opposite direction so I either swipe his side panel and possibly glance off into his wheel, or if I do glance off his wedge I potentially hit his drum support. His armor's weak enough that every hit threatens a KO, and at the very least should destroy his wedge very quickly. Weapon-to-weapon won't disable either bot immediately, and while I might get thrown in the air, if I sideswipe his drum or the sides of his wedge he'll get spun around and risk flipping over from gyro forces. After a hit be ready to either retreat and get my weapon pointed at him again if he isn't destabilized, or rush in to take advantage if it is. Stay well away from the hazards, since they're a PITA in this arena, and if he tries to hazard bait just let him sit there. Otherwise just keep hitting him until he's dead. Good luck, and may the best robot win! |
