I've got plenty of torque and enough armour to tank a few hits, so box rush him and go for a weapon impact, if he goes out of control take advantage and get to the sides or back to carry on wedging, push him to the floor flippers when I'm under him. If he gets away drive away from him and get near a hazard (that isn't the flame jets) to bait him into going for me, he's slow at turning so it shouldn't be hard to get to the sides. Avoid dumb driving and good luck! |

Observations 1. +6 weapon power:armour is OHKO territory in the R4 damage scale. I'm +5 on his armour. Even the first hit should deal substantial damage. Something is gonna go inside of his bot and it'll be less effective after taking a hit like that. Realistically, I should be able to kill him in a few hits. 2. He's a lot faster, but contacts will knock us very far apart, and even running away from him to spin up with 5 units of speed to his 9 still reduces his net closing speed to 4 and should buy me the time that I need. 3. My armour is actually pretty good for a spinner, so I should be able to take some damage from the hazards and keep dishing it out. 4. La Valette is difficult to wedge without getting hit. You basically have to get it exactly on one of its wheels, and then it can just use its free one to pivot into you. Strategy 1. Start the match facing sideways (right) in my square and spinning clockwise. Immediately spin up and drive straight for the right side of the arena. This makes his fastest approach angle the area around my left wheel, which gives me more time to spin up, since he'll have to adjust course if he wants to stuff my weapon. If he just wedges the wheel, my blade shouldn't go straight into the ground, since I've gone midcutter with La Valette. Basically, turn as quickly as I can in the direction that I'm spinning, using the gyroscopic forces to help me swing around, and hit him. Either way, just get spun up and lay a hurting on his plow. Recoil should send me towards the corner that I'm further from, giving me a bit more time to recover. 2. If I can, try to hit him so that he goes into the floor flippers. His wedge doesn't work both ways up and he could even get stranded on his back if he lands at the right angle. 3. Don't be afraid to play avoidance following hits to get back up to full power. I'm slow, but that doesn't mean I have to play this like a static hazard. Whenever I'm up tae speed, go after him aggressively, but keep my maneuvers simple. Mostly straight charges due to my mediocre control. Good luck |
