Tria Prima: Speed: 6 / Traction: 3 / Torque: 1 / Weapon: 0 / Armor: 2 -- Speed: 6 / Traction: 3 / Torque: 1 / Weapon: 0 / Armor: 2 -- Speed: 3 / Traction: 2 / Torque: 1 / Weapon: 13 / Armor: 5 Solomon: Speed - 6 / Traction - 5 / Torque - 2 / Weapon - 10 / Armor - 7(+2 shield) ![]() ___________________________________ do consider for this match that both of my wedges are as fast as his one robot, and his hammer's maximum retraction is quite high up, giving him a ridiculously tall COM that is not helped by his short wheelbase. he also has low range with the shield on - enough that he probably can't actually reach over my drum. my main problem here is the fucking arena because it encourages camping, at least in the beginning. so to start, keep to my side (but move out of the starting square). if he approaches, wait until he's well past the narrows, then advance with mercury while the minibots go for the flank, one to each side. doing this forces him to choose to either focus on a mini (letting the other one get under his rear while the main bot gets a free hit), or continue trying for the main bot (letting both multies strand him, and giving me a free hit with the drum). he could also back off, but this costs him aggression, while just letting me re-set and try again. do not let him try and lure me anywhere too dangerous by doing this, though - sometimes it's smarter to retreat. I'm assuming he won't approach, though. once the 30 seconds are up and he's for sure forced out of his starting square, send sulpher via the bottom while the other two go around the top, surrounding him and doing as described above. if he chooses to single focus Sulpher, try and draw him into Cold streaks' CPZ (he'd better be in the bottom, if not, invert this plan): a single minibot is very hard to clamp, but a hammer is quite easy. while this is going on, have the other two halves move down and try and pincer him in there. never let him trap parts of my bot between each other, and keep in mind that if he's pushing Mercury, he isn't pushing the two minis that are now moving faster than him. if a single mini dies, use the other to try and flank from behind. if both die, just go in head-on: he shouldn't be able to reach around me, and relentless aggression will surprise him and make a flanking attempt harder. I'm using the shield configuration. I guess the idea with Tria Prima is that the wedges block you and the drum comes and eats you. As the drum is rather slow, I'm going to try to flank it and hammer it from the side or behind. It's got five armor, so a hit anywhere except the drum will cause catastrophic damage. Hopefully I can disable one of its wheels and immobilize it, then take it out. If the minibots try to stop me doing this, as I expect, I'll target them. They'll blow up even more easily, and even if they flank me I should still keep some movement control due to my wheel placement. I'll also be able to push them around: I have higher torque and they are very lightweight. In a nutshell: 1. Try to flank the drumbot to take out its drive, then kill it 2. If blocked from doing so by minibots, push those out of the way and/or smash them with the hammer then return to step 1 3. If wedged, drive off and return to step 1 4. Face the drum with the shield if I have to, but otherwise avoid getting hit at all costs. |
