So, here's the elephant in the room for this match: Chronic Jobber cannot damage my plow. You wanna know what he can damage really easily though? Literally anything else on my robot. Obviously this is not something I want to happen. So, I'll position myself in the most open areas of the arenas, where the hazards are the farthest apart from each other. Probably in the midpoints between the howling winds and 2ft walls. Since I'll be faster in getting into position than he is, I can spend a few moments lining up my shot for when he tries to enter through the topmost bottleneck near the house robots. When he exits from there, that marks my opportunity to ram in at full speed and hopefully shunt it into a house robot zone. If this madman turns around and tries to enter through the other more open end of my corner, then I just zip down and anticipate for him to come through the bottom bottleneck and do my push-him-into-the-house-robot song and dance there. He might catch on and realize that I'm camping though, so if that happens I'll just zip past the bottleneck myself and start ramming. If he pinballs into somewhere that isn't the housebot zones, chase after him and try to chain rams together, hopefully catching up soon enough and being able to push him around into the howling winds, housebots, or walls. OOTA is kind of an exercise in futility, so I won't go for it. He better not think of using the back wedge, because my HINGED PLOW THAT I FORGOT TO MENTION IN SIGNUPS LIKE SOME KINDA DIPSHIT will just slide right under. I'm not sold on his weight distro + wheel placement exactly working wonders in that regard, especially with the big fuck-off disc on the front. His disc's teeth even fit right into my plow shape too for minimal corner "damage". It might not mean much, but I can push him easier by the disc because of this. So... yeah. Wait until he passes by one of the house bot zones, ram at VERY high speed. Recognize if he's not taking the b8 and then punish him for it. GL HF. Oh yeah and "make sure he doesn't get to my sides" or whatever too. edit: like, literally????????????? Edited by V900, Aug 30 2017, 09:08 AM.

Oh right I still gotta RP for this. So my wheels are far enough back and the shape of my body with the curves bordering the wheels, there is a trick I can use to potentially win this. Spin up and park myself between my starting square and the wall. He'll have to come around one side. Let him. When he plows into me, drive forward. The idea here is for the points of the body to keep my wheels away from his plow so they can still spin, and then drive forward and j-hook off the plow. I have 6 speed to his 8 so its not impossible. J hook off and try to get a hit off on the side or the back corner of the wedge. Any hit to his body is 4 damage, or 6 corner. I don't expect this to work more than once or twice, so after that just try my best to get spun up and make the sparks fly. Try my best to avoid the housebot zones. GL |
