The Shit Disturber
|
I could write an essay and just spam adjectives with positive and dynamic sounding adjectives, but I just won't. 1) I'm the faster, more maneuverable robot with the better wedge, and can either press or angle in more easily if I need to. His front is chassis wedge aside from his narrow flipper. He'll try some tricky shit for sure, but aside from a flip near the low wall, which I'll avoid, nothing he can do will be too devastating and I can just recover and deal with tit the next time. 2) Try tricky things like reversing at an angle across his front corner and then throttling it forward into his side. Angle in, j-hook (I can't be high-centered), and bait him into misfiring the flipper. It might not always work, but it'll work sometimes, and when I get a clamp in, that's 30 seconds of domination. Even if he uses his stopper wedges, I'll just burrow further underneath and my clamp has enough reash and is hooked enough at the end to still grab him. 3) Clamp, slam him against the wall, and then use it as a backstop to get a lift and parade him around. Suplex him as the pin timer expires. watch for him to j-hook away and turn into his j-hook. My clamp's pretty fast and I'll only need to buy it like an extra half-second at the absolute most for it to close around him 4) When wedged, j-hook away like a mofo. When flipped, just keep driving and self-right as I drive, attempting to flank while I do. 5) Avoid the low wall unless I have him in my clamp and under control with a decent amount of time left on the pin timer. Then maybe see if I can dump him over. 6) Big slams, lots of aggression, eating up clock with grapples, and just frustrating him with my better drivetrain, pressing ability (though only at the last second), and more versatile weaponry. Drive smart, stay aggressive, and win. GL fam |

Wedge tip OFF, rear-hinge flipper, spikes ON. He's slightly faster than I am, matches me for torque, and he has a lot of options with the clamp and lifter; but I’m still fast enough to keep up, and I do have options that work in my favour. I’m much tougher (so any damage will show up much more easily on him than me, especially his tyres) and there are very few places he can effectively grab besides directly under the front, which I'm making sure he won't be using. The spikes also will shut down any attempts at monster-trucking, and due to only being 3 power, his weapons will take time to work- and with my flipper and 4WD, I'll always be able to have purchase on something (the floor or his wedge) with at least two wheels and escape when needed. To win here, I'll need to be aggressive but laser-focused on him for anything he tries and countering accordingly. Move out quickly and feint a box-rush to scope out what he does; if he angles in, reverse. If he backs into me, steer into his back with my spikes and try forcing him into the wall if he's close enough- and then if he tries say, whirling around to get my sides, reverse out the way just as he starts to turn, then ram him from the side. Attack mainly from the sides, tyres and corners, and don't use the flipper until I'm definitely underneath and there's minimal risk of him escaping (near a wall or corner, etc.). When we're on the ground, use my wedge and spikes to ram and force my way under to prevent him taking advantage of a misfire. Keep him herded near the walls/corners and well away from the short wall to minimise his two biggest advantages, flip him over when I have him in a good position to do so, and take advantage by ramming and interfering with any self-righting attempts. Squash him into the walls/corners with my spikes to wear down the clock, copy his movements if he tries driving off the wedge to keep him trapped, and keep constantly moving and unpredictable in my approaches to stop him lining up a good shot with the clamp. Try to rip up his tyres with my spikes to limit his movement. Defence mostly revolves around again, watching what he does, evading accordingly, and never letting him keep me in a disadvantageous position. Reverse and counter if he tries angling in or pressing down the wedge, steer into his j-hooks, and if even he grabs me, don't give up! Use any wheels I have purchase with and the flipper to break its grip and escape, put distance between us before righting myself to stop him following up if flipped, keep moving and well away from the walls, and be as slippery and aggressive as possible. I don't care how I do it, JUST FUCKING WIN. Good luck. |
