What just appeared in my hands?
Corporate Interests:
Speed: 9
Traction: 9
Torque: 3
Weapon: 0
Armor: 11

Axtinguisher:
Speed: 5
Traction: 5
Torque: 1
Weapon: 14 (13 for axe, 1 for Flamethrower)
Armor: 9

So he has a hammer, and I have almost double his speed.

Stay out of his range and circle until behind him, then rush in and smash him into the wall. Pin and repeat.

If he corner camps, chill in the center of the arena until either he decides to join the fight or time runs out.

Do not let him get a hit in. Don't let him think he might even be in range to get a hit in. If I'm not under his rear end, I'm far away.

Don't drive like a dumbass.

Good luck! :D
Robocon (3-1)

OK, Corporate Interests. Although he’s super-quick and can push well, he has two crucial weaknesses; one, he’s got good armour, but it’s still low enough for my axe to deal some nice damage to, and unlike say, Vovoka, the shape of his chassis (low, large and flat) and wedge (more on this in the second point) serves me well in consistently keeping it in play and causing damage. Second, he lacks much offensive potential beyond pushing; his wedge is too flat to affect the aim of my axe or tip me over, the flat edge stops him going right under to avoid my attacks, and because of that, I can still easily adjust my position on it even when he’s underneath me to keep the axe facing him.

Anyway, game on. Move out quickly, ignite as I approach, watch him the whole time, and act accordingly as he comes in. Since I assume he’ll want to try flanking me and attacking away from the weapon, I’ll want to be proactive in getting in close and attacking when I can, but again, watch him the whole time- if he comes round the side or behind, move with him as he begins to circle round to keep the front facing near to him (or at least to a point where I can face him as he gets under), and as he’s about to hit, fire. Time my hits so that they land on him the moment he gets into range to prevent him baiting the axe, and if (when) he gets under, make sure it’s under the front or front corners so I’m dealing damage.

Be aggressive and proactive in attacking whenever I have the chance (the sides and corners of the wedges are good to attack from as well), and try to keep the fight near both the walls and corners to limit his biggest advantage over me (the drive) and minimise the effect of any ramming or pinning attacks, as well as the number of directions he can come at me from. Only switch on the flamethrower when he’s obviously making an approach to conserve enough gas for the whole fight, j-hook off the wedge when possible, and if he’s going to take me to the wall and I can’t get away, always ensure I’ve got the axe facing him so I can still get some shots in as he attacks.

Mix it up by feinting my usual turtling strategy- wait near the corner with my side to one wall, then move forward to bait him into attacking. Then when he does come in, reverse into the corner, turn to face him as he approaches, and get some shots in. Watch him the whole time, act accordingly as he moves to keep him in range of the axe whilst still being aggressive when I can, keep the fight near the walls and corners, time my blows to avoid being baited, and claim that Bronze Medal!

Good luck!
