Mein Gott, I was really hoping I wouldn’t have to fight this one. Fire DOES tend to work well against snowflakes though, so there’s that. Anyway, very interesting multibot design, one of which is a ridiculously powerful drum spinner, whilst the other’s a quick scoop wedge, and they can combine into one stronger form. Whilst they're very good, they do both have crucial weaknesses. Special Snowflake’s drive is ridiculously quick and strong, but it lacks much offensive potential besides pushing due to its very short wedges and how he can’t get very far under me, and both I and his teammate can kill him in one hit. White Knight's drum is deadly, but it's ridiculously slow, definitely to the point where I can focus predominantly on eliminating Snowflake first if they fight separately. Together, it hits hard and fast, but it’ll only have 4 traction; and due to the drum, will have very poor turning, so I can flank it and destroy Snowflake in the core.

Game on. My approach will vary according to how they start. If they start separately, focus on the bigger threat early on and take out Snowflake first. Ignite, reverse into one of the far corners away from the OOTA wall with my front facing outward, to lure Snowflake over to me and get in a position where he can’t feed me into the drum. Turn to face it as it approaches and try to either land the killer blow right as he gets close, or if he does get under my front, bringing the axe down over the top and back of him to pin him in place (with the flamethrower going), and then releasing literally just as White Knight approaches so that he gets hit by his own partner. Then escape while White Knight gets knocked back, go round the back, then force it into the wall to stop the drum, axe it, and rinse and repeat to whittle him down as well. Either way, kill Snowflake however I can, keep as far away from White Knight as possible until needed, and don't let them flank me.

If they combine, watch his trajectory as he moves and always be ready to get out the way however I can. He’s fast in a straight line, but his turning will be very poor because of the drum and the low traction, so avoid his trajectory, immediately come round the side or preferably behind, aim my axe blows at Snowflake in the core to cripple it, and from there pretty much shove, axe and burn it at my leisure until it’s dead. Take advantage of my higher agility to avoid his fast-but-difficult-to-aim attack patterns, aim carefully and don't get baited into misfiring by Snowflake, keep well away from the OOTA wall and aware of both machines’ locations to avoid getting double-teamed, and whatever I do, avoid the drum. AVOID THE FUCKING DRUM AT ALL COSTS.

Good luck.

Safe Space: (Special Snowflake) 7 speed / 7 traction / 7 torque / 0 weapon / 3 armour || (White Knight) 1 speed / 1 traction / 1 torque / 15 weapon / 10 armour
Axtinguisher: 5 speed / 5 traction / 1 torque / 14 weapon (+1 flamethrower) / 9 armour

On its own, Special Snowflake can comprehensively outdrive Axtinguisher. White Knight may be slow, but it hits extremely hard, can easily OOTA him over the low wall, has effective 2WD wedgelets, and can take a few hits. Joined together, the cluster will retain a sizeable speed advantage, while surrendering the edge in control for a weapon that can kill or at least cripple him in one shot.

1) I’ll begin with SS behind WK, but not linked as WK spins up.

2) If Axtinguisher turtles, I’ll have SS turn rear-first towards WK and push it towards the opposite corner. It should get under Axtinguisher’s chassis wedge easily and dish out 6 corner damage. Alex V will probably be wary of baiting, but “don’t get baited” doesn’t actually mean “I won’t get baited”. It means he’ll be a bit more tentative. He also won’t want to fire his 9 armoured axe into my 15 power drum, and since its head barely reaches past the front of his wedge, as shown in his entry post, his only chance of not hitting WK’s massive drum with some part of his axe is to get under WK or have it under him. Basically, have SS push WK 99% of the way there and turn to the side at the last second, pivoting WK just a couple of degrees right before impact (and ensuring that he doesn’t score a fluke shot on my weapon belt). BAM! After that initial hit, if his weapon is done or his drivetrain is suboptimal, have the cluster link and attack.

3) If he isn’t turtling, then I will… kinda. WK will start in front, charging with 1 glorious speed. Move out several feet but no further and have SS lurk behind. If Axtinguisher goes head-to-head, accept. If it tries to flank, as I suspect it will, have WK pivot as quickly as it can (lol) and use Special Snowflake to ambush from the side. Axtinguisher will be high-centered and pushed quickly into the nearby drum. BAM! If he goes for SS instead (he may fake going for WK first), have SS use WK as a central obstacle in a game of keepaway which it’ll win with its superior drivetrain as well as Axtinguisher having to dodge the efforts of WK. End result is that I’ll still wedge him. If he breaks off and goes for WK or tries to shove it into SS, then use my better drivetrain to deny his attempt and wedge him from the side, pushing him into WK’s drum.

4) I’d rather this not become a running battle, but if it does, SS can outdrive him, and the linked cluster is faster and will prioritize linear movements, gyro maneuvering, and baiting to minimize the effect of its mediocre control. I have a lot more room for error, so be aggressive, make him flinch, drive smart, and do the logical thing if he tries some cockamamie strategy.
GL Alex.
