Elrathia: 6 speed / 5 traction / 1 torque / 14 weapon / 8 armour (+2 plow) Slither: 8 speed / 8 traction / 2 torque / 2 weapon / 10 armour (+2 rear setup) - I can OHKO Slither and have good speed and control for a hammer, enough to keep from just getting flanked on every attempt. Also, between his poor torque and my double weight, he’ll push me very slowly, so impressive slams won’t happen. I should be able to flail loose with the hammer. - Slither’s rear plow has a bit of a lip, but Elrathia counters by being larger as a walker, having a kink in its hammer arm, a pretty long hammer head, and rising near the front specifically to be able to fire down at opponents that have a plow. - He has no way of damaging me, and his lifter’s not strong enough to hold back my blows without being forced back down. Basically, he has to comprehensively outmaneuver a robot that suffers from less of a speed difference than Coup de Grace did against Hellhound. I just need to hit him, perhaps only a couple of times. Strategy 1) Turtle. It minimizes his angles of approach, and means that I only have 90 degrees to cover. When he’s close to me, he’ll occupy an area at least 30-45 degrees across. Putting it into perspective shows how unlikely it is that he’ll be able to avoid my hammer for the entire fight. 2) There’s a chance that he’ll mount the thwack tail instead to use as a keepaway stick. The problem with this is that it has no wedge and is directly attached to his chassis, so I’ll move forward at full tilt, wedge it, and high-center him. He has literally no way of escaping. His lifter doesn’t actually fire with any impact. His wheels will be off of the ground. In this eventuality, I’ll push him straight forward into the opposite corner. It’ll be slow, but won’t eat up more than half of the pin timer. The moment before he hits the wall, I’ll turn a tiny bit so that he hits at an angle and the impact forces him sideways. Then it’s fish in a barrel. Go apeshit. If he just tries to straight up use the thwack, plow aggressively into it and there’s a pretty good chance that I’ll get beneath him. Fire away. 3) If he tries to flank, just pivot on the spot. If he tries to grab me from anywhere but the front, fire the hammer the moment that he wedges me to kick myself loose. With my sloped sides, I’m tough to get a bite on and his clamp is pretty slow. If he gets me from an angle, there’s a good chance that I’ll also have an advantageous angle on him once I’m loose. Bombs away. 4) If I’m forced out into the open, reverse towards the corner, keeping my front facing him to make him think that I’m trying to retreat. He’s likely to try to stop me. Without warning, dart forward and catch him chasing or potentially trying to flank. In general, if forced out in the open, mix up reversing and charging to either force him to expose his flank or deny him the opportunity to start angling in in the first place. Be extremely aggressive except when trying to bait. I have the big hammer. He has to survive three minutes in there with something that can kill him in one blow, not me. Self-right when flipped, fire the hammer and fight like a wild coyote in a trap to buck loose if he wedges me. Adjust in the logical manner to anything not covered here, and drive smart. Good Luck, Dylan. |

fug plow on because idk the plan here is basically to keep the jaw open and forced open using the weapon power. attack him head on and apply my top jaw directly to his forehead. this should stop the hammer and allow me to push him around once the pin timer runs out, the plan is to back off and run to the other corner, then re-position and do the same thing again never let him get to my sides or try any funny business. never let him hit me with that goddamn hammer good luck alex and may the best bot win |
