Mudcrab: Speed: 6 Traction: 5 Torque: 2 Weapon: 9 Armor: 8 Talons Out!: Speed: 8 Traction: 8 Torque: 3 Weapon: 5 (3/3) Armor: 6 ![]() (nevermind the today timestamp, this happened Wednesday) Alright, let's get the obvious out: first, his armor is low enough for me to eat his wheels. In fact, the weapon/armor disparity is the same as between Black Dog and CI, so I can reasonably expect repeated hits anywhere to start doing some serious damage to him. Strangely, the matchup is similar enough that I've considered plagiarizing his RP from that match, but CI and TO! are different enough that it probably wouldn't work out. Second, since he's using the clamp, he's almost definitely targeting my claws. We're starting with one of those backwards to leave him with one possible target and make him predictable. The natural adjustment to this for him is to just flank the other side like he's fighting a normal spinner, but doing so will momentarily expose his sides. Anticipate and punish. Third, I have an entire spinning weapon and most of the weight of the claws weighing my wedgelets down, not to mention that this weight is on two relatively small points on the ground. Don't try to tell me that his back-heavy robot and wide wedge are putting more pressure on the floor somehow. I should be able to get under his wedge, provided he doesn't angle in. So yeah, come out at an angle so that if he drive straight at me, he ends up between my forward claw and my drum. From here, if he targets my claw, turn it away from him and drive at him. If he changes targets to my wedgelets, turn back toward him and reverse a small amount. This will either put the claw under his side, or stop his attempt to angle in and get a wedgelet underneath him. Hit the crap out of him and really chain those hits together. Best target is the wheels but I'll take what I can get. Really push for the OOTA, though. The longer he's in the ring, the longer he has to get used to my shit. If the front claw gets flipped back somehow, just go full aggro and try the gyro turning shenanigans he used with Black Dog to counter his flanking. If the back claw gets flipped forward somehow, I'm calling shenanigans but seriously if that happens, drive straight at him and hit him with the drum before he can do anything with my claws. Don't drive like a dumbass.Good luck

The Shit Disturber
|
First: I'm going clamp, so Brad knows I'm after his claws. I imagine he'll start with one or both of them turned around, to give me less to grab. Second: He can wreck my wheels with his drum, so he's probably going to try to do it, predictably. My wheels are really damned far back, and it'll be a real stretch for him to reach them. Third: I have a significant drivetrain advantage. Talons Out! is no 7/6 brick. It's approaching Hellhound levels. I'm going to use this to keep the fight mobile and blow up the cute entrapment plans he's bound to use. If he has both claws backwards, this becomes a low-powered drum vs. something that it's only +3 on. Keep the top jaw raised a bit, and avoid going exactly h2h with his wedgelets (create a slight angle before hitting to avoid corner damage) and smother him. His weapon will knock me back a foot. If he's at less than full power, snap the clamp down, shove him into a wall to use as a back stop, and lift. Parade around and suplex. This should swing his claws forward. After that, pick on them nonstop. If he starts with one claw backwards, he's probably trying to create attacking angles. Blow his plan up using the power of circling. He's going to fall behind pretty quickly, or be forced to dash in and go h2h. Hit 80% h2h, but create that slight angle to avoid his little wedgelets and the corner damage that they bring. Watch for him to try to hook that claw around. If he's already starting to, reverse so it's in front of me, and then grab it. Drag him into walls, spin him, lift the claw so that he'll only have one wheel on the ground. If I'm ever circling and my side is slightly exposed, he's going to go for my wheels. Show him my side and then reverse across his front, in the direction with no claw. If he overshoots, dash back in and clamp his side tightly. Slam him into the wall, use it as a back stop, and lift. Swing him in the air and suplex him just before the pin timer's up so that his claws both end up facing backwards. Then implement the "both claws backwards plan" above. What it comes down to is being a bit patient, forcing him to keep up with me in terms of drivetrain (which he can't do), and avoiding a 100% direct h2h. I'm going to turn his claws, and his eagerness to go for my wheels and create angles into a liability. I’ll use my clamp for 30 second clamps, pins, and suplexes. Basically, match control. If both claws are forward or backwards, be very aggressive. If they're not, be patient and use my better drive to open up opportunities. Drive smart, adjust to the likely baiting and angle-camping by not just going "derp yolo!", and toss him around. |
