Drumlets ON. Not feeling overly confident about this, but I’ll give it a good go. Slither’s very quick and has a defensive plough and a versatile weapon in its clamping/lifting arm (and perhaps a thwack as well, depending), but it’s still got some weaknesses. Most notably, the wheels are very close to the edge of his plough, and considering they’re only 8 armour versus my 14-powered drum (on top of my drumlets providing additional reach), they should be possible to destroy. Same goes for his clamping arm if I can hit it from underneath. And although he does have more armour with the thwack setup, it’s a lot easier to destroy due to the drumlets protecting my front end, and his 2 torque and my wheel setup gives me time to get away and counterattack when he gets under. So, anyway. Spin up, hang back to start with to give myself some time to do so, watch to see what he does as he comes out, and act accordingly. If he leads with the plough, drive off to the side, and use the drumlets to angle in and aim for both the sides of that and the wheels to cripple both his defence and mobility. If he leads with the clamp, position myself so that the drum is underneath and reverse just as he comes down with it to rip it upward and destroy it, ala Minotaur VS Warhead. If he has the clamp down to lift, approach head-on and be ready to reverse j-turn as soon as he gets under, then butcher him from the side or corner before he can react. If he uses the thwack (providing he has it equipped), simply spin up to max speed and barge through his spin. In any case, I’ll want to be aggressive but strategic; targeting his weak points (under the clamp, the wheels, the sides of his plough, and the usual sides and corners) and taking full advantage of any hits I land. Try to flip him over to nullify his defences, prioritise destroying the scoop and wheels first when possible, keep the front facing him and stay away from the walls. If I can get near the corners, make use of them by parking side-on into them and spinning up the drum, and when he gets close, steer into him sideways with the drumlets to get at his weak points around the sides. Drive off the wedges when I can, keep the drum spinning upward, and as soon as I land a good hit or open up somewhere in his defences, take full advantage and go for the KO! Good luck! |

Plow on Move out quickly but carefully. Watch where he goes and chase him down, preferably at an angle. Get under and begin to push. Don't ever let him get around the plow. If he backs off the plow/j-turns (as alex typically does) then back off as well and re-position to avoid being caught off-guard. keep him away from my wheels at all costs. good luck alex and may the better bot win. |
