-Okay, we definitely need to avoid that ax!

-Basically just put everything into going after him from a front corner area. If I can get him on the lifter I can raise him up and slam him into a wall or corner and just eat up time.

-Stay the hell away from him if I can't avoid the ax and wait for him to move to a more favorable position to try flanking him.

-Keep him pinned against a wall or corner as much as possible and try to eat up a lot of clock time.

Good Luck!

I should go 3-1 this week but it'll probably be something like 0-4 or 0-5.

It sucks going 0-5. You lose all 4 of your bot fights for the week and you also lose at life.

Right, a former champion to fight in Sarge. As usual, he’s pretty quick and has a spicy torque-lifter setup and a big old plough that I’ll need to keep an eye on, but he’s still got some notable weaknesses. In particular, his defences are designed mostly for cracking spinners, but not axes- in that sense, his armoured plough will be useless against me because of how my axe pole arcs over it, I can hit him even when he’s underneath me, and his 6 armour is low enough to be seriously damaged by even one hit from my 13-powered axe, especially with the flamethrower factored in as well. He’s also just about slow enough for me to keep up with, his pushing ability will be affected notably by my weight with only 3 torque, and if he tries using his forks to stop my axe, then I can just drive under with my own wedge. So as long as I’m vigilant and can make good use of the axe, I can hopefully take him down and get one step closer to the title.

With that in mind, let’s go. Move out quickly, ignite as I approach, and watch what he does as I approach. If he comes out with the plough or with the forks down, keep and eye on the direction he comes from, move to keep the front facing him, and as soon as he’s within range, swing. In particular, try to aim for the areas where his power source and drivetrain are if I can to maximise my chance of crippling him, and don’t fall for any attempts to bait me into swinging too early. If he comes out with the forks up to try and stop the axe, don’t fire it- remember that he can’t get under when he’s like that, so keep the front facing him and reverse to stop him from driving over the top of me. When he drops the forks, that’s the time to start making use of it again.

In any case though, try to keep him within range as much as possible by being aggressive and actively taking the fight to him when I can, as even when he’s underneath, I can still hit him. Blow flames down into any wounds I inflict, keep him herded near the walls using my size and weapon to limit his mobility, and try to cripple his drive ASAP so I can more effectively chase him down over time. Avoid getting flipped when possible by using the axe to get off the forks or self-right when needed (remember that I can use both the forward and back swing to do so due to being an electric axe), keep the front facing him and move according to how he approaches to do so, and mix it up by using the corners to turtle and force an approach as needed. If I can cripple him, be more aggressive and try to go for the KO, but even when he’s stopped and looks to be being counted out, park next to him with the axe prepped, and be ready to finish him off if he does suddenly start moving again.

Good luck!
