I had this idea for awhile, why not make a challenge thread so people can challenge people? Problem is that we need a writer for this, but hey, RB2 is on and going--and i think most of them are free.  UPD8: I decide that it's time that i stepped up to the plate and began my shenanigans as a writer, wish me up! EXAMPLE CHALLENGE: Robotic Bastards 2 Arena. Middleweight. I will be using my middleweight Lieutenant Chaos:  Speed: 6 Traction: 3 Torque: 1 Weapon: 13 Armor: 7 -- Anyway, yeah, that's my idea, i'm not sure if this will go far, but hey, i'm throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks. -- MATCHES WRITTEN:

Righty then, challenge is locked in and ready to go. -- Triple B - S:6 T:4 T:1 W:13 A:6 (+2 to the front wedge) Neophyte Redglare - S:7 T:4 T:3 W:7 A:9 -- I have a minor advantage speedwise than Triple B. I'll wait until he makes it halfway across the arena, and then proceed to rush him, targeting his sides. Triple B's sides do not have wedging, so he's prone to my wedge, and flipper. I'll push Triple B around the arena, mainly near the wall drums and pulverizers, and the OOTA zone, whenever i get near the hazards, move so Triple B is on top of my front-hinged flipper and launch him at the pulverizers and wall drums. Be aggressive, chase Triple B around the arena, at every opportunity that i have to get at his sides, i'll get it. Good luck! |

Looking at the stats, NR has a speed advantage. This isn't going to help much, as: 1) It's only one point, not enough to get around. and 2) It has speed:traction difference of 3, meaning it will be a bit slidy. So, NR can't really get round me, and it has armour 4 less than my weapon. Only strategy I really have is to repeatedly try and go for the wedge, and try and knock it out via many repeated hits. Alternatively, I could try and launch it OOTA with the flywheel. |

Whelp, i'll try to write, so here we go. -- "In the red square, we have convicted you guilty as charged! You have therefore been sentenced to be executed by.. NEOPHYTE REDGLARE!" "In the blue square, this bot will send you to Point A to Point B faster than John Pinette on the slide at the water park! Give it up for, TRIPLE B!" The buzzer sounds, and Triple B begins to go across the arena towards Neophyte Redglare, halfway across the arena, Neophyte Redglare boxrushes Triple B and proceeds to move right of Triple B, due to Neophyte Redglare's semi-poor traction across the arena floor. Triple B moves to face Neophyte Redglare just as Neophyte Redglare begins to ram Triple B. Oh no! Neophyte Redglare has Triple B on it's wedge, and now Neophyte Redglare is pushing Triple B towards the wall drum, and oh jeez, oh jeez! Triple B is now on top of Neophyte Redglare, and woah woah woah, woah! Triple B! Triple B has been launched across the arena towards the wall drums! It tumbles a bit, but Triple B, after having a close encounter with the wall drums and pulverizers, proceeds to go towards Neophyte Redglare! Neophyte Redglare couldn't evade and time, and yikes! It suffers a direct hit to one of it's wheelguards, and there's a huge dent mark from the flywheel! This is intense, this is intense! Neophyte Redglare is backing off, but to only get back into the action and to ram Triple B's side and getting Triple B back up on top of it, and here we go, heere we go! Boom! Triple B gets launched across the arena and lands on top of it's flywheel! Neophyte Redglare proceeds to rush the now-smoking Triple B to push it over to the pulverizers, and as Triple B's flywheel keeps it coming towards the the pulverizer, even when it's suffering major damage, Triple B gets itself flipped over and rushes towards Neophyte Redglare, and Neophyte Redglare wedges Triple B, and launches it across the arena once more! And that's the last straw for Triple B, the sheer velocity and the impact on the arena causes the bot to shut down! And your winner, by knockout is... NEOPHYTE REDGLARE! |

Yep. So he beats me out in drivetrain, but also has a 3 point gap in SPD/tra which could cause skidding. His wedge is also very tall and steep. This is basically asking for Outrage to hit it. So spin up, and drive out of the square. If I see that he is about to rush me, stop immediately and begin to slowly spin in place like a thwack. With this, he will have no choice but to get hit. If he doesn't fall for this party trick, use the trackballs to keep the front facing, and drive towards him. Same rules apply if flipped. Continue hitting him with the disc until he is no longer moving. Avoid hazards and the Outa zone. Good luck |

Neophyte Redglare V.S Outrage is in it I guess. It's time to arr pee, Mr. Freeman. -- Outrage - S:5 T:3 T:1 W:14 A:7 Neophyte Redglare - S:7 T:4 T:3 W:7 A:9 -- I have a minor advantage over speed than Outrage, and my armor means that i could tank his giant-disc-of-the-apocalypse, not sure. As soon as the match begins, boxrush Outrage. Do not, under any circumstances, let Outrage spin up his weapon, deny any spin ups, and push him around towards the pulverizers and wall drums, and when he gets on top of my launcher, launch him, maybe i'll get pretty zany and launch him towards the OOTA zone. Be aggressive, chase after Outrage, target his back and sides, so his wedge-murder-fucker-spinner has little to no effect on me. Camp near the OOTA zone and hazards, and make sure to launch him at any change i get. Good luck! |

Wow, Wolf 51-50 beat me to the punch with the posting of his RP, convenient! Anyway, here's the match. -- "In the red square, more homicidal than Agent Smith, is more dangerous than Judge Dredd to a criminal, and as crooked as a cheap lawyer! Here is, NEOPHYTE REDGLARE! " "In the blue square, this bot has escaped a federal prison and left no survivors, and even that was what this bot was capable of doing when sober! Now imagine what this bot will do heavily intoxicated! Give it up for, OUTRAGE! " The buzzer sounds, and Outrage realizes that Neophyte Redglare is boxrushing him, and he stops dead in his tracks! Neophyte Redglare couldn't evade in time so it's lower-left side suffers a major, major hit from Outrage! Wait, what is that? Is that a part of Neophyte Redglare's wheelguards? Oh yes it is! Luckily the wheelguards were there, or else who knows what would happen! Neophyte Redglare gets sent skidding across the arena, but it's back for more carnage! If anything with the match against Triple B is to go by, i don't want to be anywhere near that launcher, hell, I don't want to be near any of these two bots! Neophyte Redglare rushes towards the backside of Outrage, drifts like it's Tokyo Drift, and gets under Outrage, while suffering minor damage to it's launcher, and oh jeez, Outrage gets sent flying across the arena and lands on it's side, it's near the hazards, it's spinnin' like a top but it's back in no time! Looks like the impact knocked a few screws loose on Outrage. Outrage and Neophyte Redglare go at it again, the skiddin', driftin' of Neophyte Redglare happens as it goes towards it's back, but Outrage ain't falling for that, but it's too late and OH MAN! That launcher Neophyte Redglare has is no joke, and neither is the spinner on Outrage! The two bots comes towards eachother, and Outrage catches Neophyte Redglare by it's side! The armor panelling on it's side holds up, but just barely, and the two bots gets sent skiddin' across the arena! The two bots come after eachother, Neophyte Redglare does it's now trademark Tokyo Drifting move, or is it Alternia Drift? No time for snarky comments and jokes, because Outrage almost tried to outsmart Neophyte Redglare, but it gets caught by the hinged wedge of Neophyte Redglare, and gets launched across the arena, towards the wall drums. Outrage slides across the arena and gets hit by the drums, but suffers little to no damage. Outrage and Neophyte Redglare rush at eachother once more--but the buzzer sounds, signalling the end of the match. This leaves a dissapointed audience, but a match that proves that these two bots matched together is like a regular gym-goer and a leatherhead fighting against eachother--utter chaos. As this was a close match, we have to get out the judges, but judging by the look on their face, they know what they like. The winner, by a judges decision, is.. OUTRAGE! -- This was a close match to write, I was leaning towards Neophyte Redglare due to aggression and it not backing down, and it launching Outrage across the arena, but Outrage did more damage and suffered little-to-no damage. If you think my decision is bullshit, please grab your pitchforks and let me know, i'm always welcome to an angry mob.

Umm yeah. He has 1 torque, so it'll takes what, 10 seconds for him to reach full speed? Once he does, just strafe out of the way. He'll go splat into the wall because, ahem, no control.
