Always good to see! Hopefully it should be a good fight, and that I'll be able to get Tornedron to the Playoffs with it.

Suppose that depends on your definition of "Deadlier"- in terms of Weapon Power yes, but in terms of overall design, I'd say Luna was the stronger of the two. Discounting the obvious aspect of weight difference, it's the control and the design of the teeth that clinches it for me.

I know it's probably going to be incredibly underhanded of me to mention this, but I had a look at Siphai's reply to the LI2 vs Hephaestus fight just now, and I noticed this-
Quote:

He's going with the scoop

I had posted my RP first and mentioned that I would be, but it's from a selection of at least three Interchangeable Weapons. If he knows this, doesn't this technically count as referencing an opponent's RP?
Um....this has been legal for the entirety of CFL. People need to know what your opponent's setup is when the battle begins.
I could see this rule being easily exploited tbh.

What stops someone from waiting until 11:59 PM or until the other guys posts his RP to post? That would leave his opponent entirely in the air over what setup they would use. Especially if you had something that could completely change the fight like a hazard style HS that could interchange into a VS.

Aye. What I try and do is write outcomes for each weapon if they use Interchangeable Setups. That way, the correct one can be applied accordingly, without the need to risk disqualification.

It may be true but unfortunately Spike hasn't been able to take advantage of his power nearly as much.

I should go 3-1 this week but it'll probably be something like 0-4 or 0-5.

It sucks going 0-5. You lose all 4 of your bot fights for the week and you also lose at life.

The thing is it used to be under a kind of an unspoken "gentleman's agreement" for anyone that had interchangeable setups to RP first (and earlier than usual if applicable). These days most people just wait till near the deadline to RP.

Of course people that like to RP early simply just gameplan for any scenario. I will say that often times it's usual kind of obvious what set up the other guy will use. I mean pretty much the whole point of interchangeable designs is to be able to deal with different designs more effectively.

For example in a Jack Frost vs Teresa fight if I was going to be RPing first I'd say 9 times out of 10 I'd expect to see Teresa using the scoop setup so that's what most of my gameplan would focus on. I'd still throw in something for the alternative. At the end of the day it's just a little more work for the opponent to do which I would say is also a part of the reason behind using a multi setup design, to keep your opponents guessing a little.

That isn't even anti-spinner. It just provides more points and edges for spinners to catch and toss you away.

Plows and scoops are better for that.

It did work quite well, but against different types of spinner more than others. Work in progress you see, and I'm hoping to have it perfected (Or at least somewhere relatively close.) when he next appears.

um the only spinners you beat were Malevolence II and Parasite. Malevolence was quite able to keep hitting your robot despite the loss, and Parasite had low armour anyway. So where do you get the idea that it worked "quite well"?

No seriously. I'm all for people trying different things to take out certain robots, but to claim that Waterloo Sunset was an anti-spinner is rather... silly.

Eh, it's been a while. I'm not saying the robot itself was a dedicated Anti-Spinner, but the attachment for the back did work to some extent at least- I don't think I would've beaten Parasite without it, at least.

All I'm saying is that whilst yes, it worked- it was pretty flawed as well, as the fights with Spectrum of Eternity and its undercutting banana blades proved. And from there, I'm considering my options on how I can improve it for the next time I bring the design into play.
