For this match I'll spin up quick and get to open area as quick as possible. I don't want to get pinned, so I'll have to use my strafe maneuvering to avoid him ramming me at all costs. My goal is to hit his sides, possibly jamming his drivetrain on his armor. If he comes at me with the wedge, the shape of it will cause it to get severely damaged unless he hits me just right. I plan to not get hit "just right" by strafing perpendicular to his direction of travel. His speed might not allow me to avoid him entirely, but I should be able to get just far enough to slam one of my hammers into the side of his wedge, spinning him and doing heavy damage. If he comes at me with the back plow, try to do the same thing, hitting it at an angle and intentionally knocking myself away from him (can't pin what you can't control). I don't expect to do heavy damage to the plow, but if one of my hammers catches the edge of it just right it might send the next hammer slamming into his side due to the inertia. Good luck and may the best bot win. |

The unforeseen consequences of ABC's Battlebots selection process: 1999: Shadetree tinkerer sees combat robots made from wheelchair parts and old tire rims; says I can do this. Hobby robotic combat is born. 2016: Shadetree tinkerer sees combat robots that look like they were designed by NASA engineers with DARPA funding; says I can't do this. Hobby robotic combat dies. | |

Well he's a spinner, and a darn powerful one at that, so I will be relying heavily on my plow. With the plow it's 13 weapon vs. 9 armor, though the plow does have the spikes, which are nonvital things he would have to get through to get to the back of the plow, and then to anything vital, hopefully it doesn't go that far though. Thankfully I'm almost 3 times as fast as him, coupled with the fact that he only has 1 point of traction (where I have 6) which means he probably can't absorb impact for shit. 5 armor for a spinner is pretty decent, but with enough stress, it will probably give out at some point. To start, I'll rush the hell out of him with the plow. He only has three speed, and almost no traction, so I'll be damned if he can pull out some fancy maneuvering out of nowhere and avoid the plow as long as I don't drive like a fool. Ideally I'll be getting to him before he can get up to full speed, which will lessen the damage I would take. I want to ram him into the wall and get him stopped all together. Given his design, my plow should be sufficient to get under him to move him along to the hazards, because once I can stop his weapon, I want to use the hazards to beat him up and try to put him out of commission. I don't want to let him get too far away from me since that could give him room to start spinning up again. I'll just focus on keeping the plow facing him and keeping him in the hazards. If he would get around to my side at some point, I still have pretty decent armor to absorb a hit or two if need be. Good Luck! |
