Yay, Striker is back to fighting a wedge. He should feel lucky it's not another hammerbot.

Right off the bat, Striker has some advantages. First, Striker's hinged wedge should technically get under Automaton's regular wedge. If those paper thin triangles in front are legit, then those would probably hurt hit rather help him since they would bend like hell. Second advantage is that he has a very weak weapon. His weapon itself is very unconventional lifter wise and, IMO, wouldn't be effective against a design like Striker.

If I get under him, chew his underbelly with the treads while slamming him around. I should be able to capitalize extensively on both damage and aggression here if this works. After that, take him to a nearby hazard. Repeat the process again and again. If he gets under me, at least the treads should make contact with his exposed top wedge. If so, at least I'll be scoring damage points. I will, however, desperately try to escape his grasp before he can take me to the hammers or any other hazard. With his design, taking me to the hammers would be one of few logical choices. If he gets under me a lot, start to aim for his corners so when I charge him (and I go up his wedge) I'll probably just fall off.

Use the treads both offensively and defensively in this match. Stay aggressive and get under him as much as possible. Do the usual plan of attack. Good luck.

Striker
Speed: 7
Traction: 4
Armor: 6 (+1 ram plate)
Weapon: 5

Automaton
Speed: 8
Traction: 6
Armor: 6
Weapon: 2

Right off the start there's quite a few advantages that put this matchup in my favor. He has a terrible speed to traction ratio, so we can expect to see him flying around the arena with little control, Vladiator style. On top of that, the armor of everything on his robot is 5, due to the subtraction caused by the ram plate. This is a terrible combination when you have a hard time maintaining consistent control; any time he accidentally runs over the killsaws, he's going to take quite a bit of damage, a disadvantage I plan to take control of. Finally, on top of all this, I am actually faster than him.

His wedge goes against what we've slowly learned about wedge-effectiveness in the past seasons. A single piece, short wedge, which only has the weight of the wedge itself. On the opposite side, you see my wedge with the entire weight of my robot on it, lifter arms covering the sides, and the short triangles with a low surface area on the front of my wedge (which have a smaller angle than Striker's wedge). In my first fight some of my teeth got bent pretty badly which hindered my wedge effectiveness, but I feel that I should point out that this would only happen if Striker got me on the saws. Any bending that might occur naturally during the fight would bend my teeth downward, actually increasing the effectiveness. But even then, we should not forget that my teeth do have an armor of 6, meaning that any bending that occurred would be kept to an absolute minimum.

My plan here is to immediately get under him and activate my holding spikes. They are slow, but is chassis is going to be right on top of mine - the holding claws would hardly need many degrees of rotation before catching him. Lest we forget, I do have an armor of 6, compared to his weapon of 5. Doing this should jam up his treads something awful, and should keep him trapped on top of me. Any damage that the treads might do to me (which, should be noted, would be a very small amount) would be far less than what the hammer and saws should do to him. I want to hold him over the saws and actually try to slice one of those treads, putting it out of commission, something that's should be completely doable with his less than steller armor. Failing this, a pounding by the hazards would hurt him quite a bit.

If he gets on me, start spinning around really fast, and hopefully I should squirm out of his grasp. My two huge wheels in the back will aid me with this.

Recap:
-His horrible traction to speed ratio will make it hard for him to maintain control of his robot, much less control of mine.
-My wedge is more able to get under his than visa versa.
-His armor for his chassis, treads, wedge, etc. is only 5, so the killsaws and hammers will have a great effect on him in this match.
-Get under him and jam up his treads with my holding claws.

Good luck
