Not to be confused with the gerbil movie.
I'm not that scared of the poker thing. I'm gonna charge at him out the box, and go headstrong with my front wedge. I'm not sure who will be lower. If I am lower, push forward, lift him up, continue to push, and slam him into the wall.

If he is lower, spin around. Escape the situation, and move off to the side of the arena to re-evaluate. At this point, I'm going to need to pay alot of attention to his driving style and learn to overcome it. Eventually I need to be able to gain entry on a corner or side, at which point, push through, lift slightly, and pierce down. once I have him in my grasp, pull the normal shit- dangle him over the saws, hold him under the pierce, etc.

Sometimes the problem with shockwave's fights, is that once he has someone in their clutches, he taunts them for a little bit, but then lets them go and get mauled. Well I need to be super aggressive. If i get FF in my clutches just once, i want this match to be over. smack him around- HARD. show him no mercy. even when i am forced to spit him out, rush in immediately, scoop him up again, and molest him some more.

I'm not scared of the puncher because it will just go up my wedge without doing damage. even if it hits the back, I have to ram plate there to absorb shocks like that.

so just charge charge charge, get under, push push lift lift, flip, slam, clamp, smack around... show NO mercy.

Speed: 7
Traction: 5
Armor: 6
Weapon: 4

Shockwave
Speed: 7
Weapon: 7
Armor: 5(+1 ram and front wedge)
Traction: 3

The first thing to take into account in this match is his armor. He has +1 for his ram and +1 for the front wedge, leaving his overall chassis at -2. Though his wedge and ram cover a great deal of his chassis, his claw and underbody are extremely vulnerable. Driving over the saws is going to have a very negative effect for him, likely managing to saw through and cut one of the drive trains. If he gets pushed under the hammer, it would only be a couple of hits until his claw gets completely knocked out.

The second thing is his traction disadvantage. He has over a 2:1 speed to traction ratio, making it hard for him to make accurate movements and turns. This is an important thing to keep in mind for a robot like Shockwave that needs to be precise and not flying all over the place. The driving errors that he may subsequently make will give me the upper hand in gaining control.

The last thing is that I actually feel more confident about my wedge's effectiveness this season than last. Shockwave presents his entire front wedge as a single piece hinged wedge making it less effective than my four wedge set-up. Hopefully this could end up forcing him to make attacks on my sides as opposed to my front which, keeping in mind his poor traction, should serve to be difficult for him. If he does get under me, I want to start firing my ram widely, hopefully jarring myself from his grasp. Remember that my ram is a big chunk of metal firing back and forth at fairly high speeds, and regardless of whether my ram catches him or not it should prove somewhat effective in freeing myself from his grasp.

Drive aggressively and aim for his front. Getting under his front wedge is going to by a priority. Once underneath I want to immediately ram him into a wall and start firing my ram against his wedge. The shape of my ram should serve effective in warping his hinged wedge, considering that it is only a 6:4 armor:weapon ratio. I only need to warp it a little bit to completely prevent him in getting under me from that point on.

Once his wedge is warped, start driving his ass all across the arena. Take him to the saws immediately since, as aforementioned, his main chassis only has an armor of 3, which will take a shitload of damage from the killsaws and may even cause a knockout by cutting a drive train. Take him to the hammers and attempt to knock out that claw, since it also has an armor of 3. Take him to the hazards and knock him out.

Recap:
- He has poor armor, which the hazards should take advantage of
- He has poor traction which should cause poor driving
- His wedge is a single piece which will make it easier to get underneath
- Get under his front wedge, ram him into the wall and warp his wedge ASAP

Good luck
