Got crappy paint pics of my machines and asked Kody on MSN if he'd CAD them for me. I am so gratful because I can't CAD for crap LOL.

UE3 - lower, wider, stronger, new shape and a secret weapon.

LowDown 2 (name is top secret) - small stat change, body shape changed a bit and interchangable weapon pod on the front.

HW (no name decided yet) - front spinning weapon with rear defense and good speed/weapon power.

Deuces, Betch - ramming machine with interchangable front ramming plates.

My next season team probables:

LW: The only question mark really. I'm pretty sure I'm going to take ZK out of the rotation for a couple seasons at least. I'm just not sure what I'm replacing him with, but it will be something new.

MW: Influenza, graciously donated by the Spatula fire-sale. Hopefully he can be just as good as he was last time.

HW: Revolver Ocelot will go for round two, maybe with a tweak here or there, maybe a revamped paintjob.

SHW: Final Boss, with another cool paintjob, probably bring him back as a lifter rather than a flipper.

I should go 3-1 this week but it'll probably be something like 0-4 or 0-5.

It sucks going 0-5. You lose all 4 of your bot fights for the week and you also lose at life.

Question: would the (theoretical) power of a dumb thwack be lowered if it had more wheels? (e.g: a 4WD/6WD that has a spiked tail to thwack defensively, but the added traction of 4WD/6WD over 2WD slows it down?)

Because I'm thinking of giving SZF a spiked tail and punting the plow, lol

I'd have to say yes, the more wheels it has not only throws off the center point of the turn, but also makes the turning more powerful, but also slower.

All right, there goes that idea then.

Just trying to think of something that won't make SZF "another boring rammer" lol

it depends, if the wheels were angled correctly, then it could be more powerful, though it would be slower driving normally(I.E., not spinning) due to all the scrub.

Ry, that's a good idea for 6WD, actually...have I got it right? See diagram below:

/ \

\ /

Basically the front wheels are angled a bit towards the front-middle (not cambered like Tazbot's, but actually angled inwards), the middle wheels are normal and the rear wheels are angled towards the rear-middle. That it, Ry?

And it would be a problem for driving straight? Hmm...

yep, thats exactly what i was talking about. i don't believe that driving straight would be too much of a problem, but the bot would be wasting quite a bit of its power overcoming the tire scrub from the front and rear sets of tires being angled. maybe there should be a new rule about thwacks like that(if anyone is even interested in using a design like that), they are a little more powerful when thwacking(more traction = more energy going into the opponent on impact), but lose a few torque points when driving due to the tire scrub or something.

I found all of the old underall pics and I thought people might be interested in seeing its evolution

I also found a picture of this bot, which I don't think was ever entered, but it's pretty funny. I think this was made during the ADD MORE WHEELS era of CFRC.

And while I'm here, I might as well post my plans for the next ARC season.

LW: It'll probably be Minesweeper again, but with spikes on the sides or something like that.
MW: I'm going to bring in a concept of mine. It'll be an omni-drive box with 11 armor and 11 speed. No weapons, just pure and super-charged aggression, plus near-invincibility.
HW: 1-hit Wonder will probably be replaced with a new design that actually walks. It'll use a walking system similar to Manta's, and it'll also use a friction-driven ring, instead of the original belt-driven ring.
SHW: Depends on whether or not Extreme Gyration makes the playoffs. If it doesn't, then I'll probably replace it with an ax robot, or maybe a Tank clone/Eurypterus clone/million-wheel rammer design.

Reflector Shield, actually. Barrier hadn't even been created by that point, I don't think. Nevertheless, a nice homage to the rammer dominant era.

as if this era is any different with Eurypterus, Copperhead, and Vendetta winning the SHW division 3 seasons in a row, with Drive as an honorable mention.

11 Armor and 11 Speed, eh? Well as long as you don't mind gliding around the arena like an ice skater, you should okay.

Meh. I'll be fine with it. My main goal is for a super-fast and super-tough robot. Also, looking at the rules, the robot would have a ramming power of 5, seeing as it has 11 speed and 0 torque, and the rules for ramming power are speed + torque/2 rounded down to the nearest number.

You won't be able to line up your shots properly with a traction-speed disparity of 11.

I'm far more concerned about the fact that he won't be able to push fuck or shit with 0 torque, making the whole concept useless to begin with. It'll rape spinners with a 30 foot pole. Even Jab could fuck it sideways.
