Well, I think it should go for a complete redesign. There's really no way that it's going to be effective at all with with the poor flipper setup you have. I would suggest looking at some successful CFL flippers to get a better idea of how those type of bots really work.

I think it's really good. Honestly, it's very versatile. The only thing I might suggest is making it wider and maybe more anti-spinner. Even then, it'll still probably do pretty well with good armor. Good job!

Yeah I kinda figured it was a bit thin but I wanted to hear what you guys had to say first. And yeah, about the spinning-thing...as most spinners tend to be low, I'll probably put some sort of spikes or plates on the lower halves of the sides. That should also stop it from being stranded on its side, I just noticed, lol

Final version will probably come during next ARC sign-ups, maybe before then if I can be arsed to.

Now solely a rammer. 4 nice heavy, pointy wedges at the front on giant hinges. Angled at approximately 15 degrees from the ground, they're going to power under pretty much anything. Especially with the new 6WD system it's got. Said 6WD is widespread in wheelbase and width rather than constricted, allowing for better turning, and it also has a 2cm ground clearance, so it can escape other wedges a lot easier now. The scoop is now at the rear and is built into the bot rather than outside of it. It's concave both horizontally and vertically and should deflect horizontal spinners, and drums. Other vertical spinners, eh, depends on the height of said vertical spinning weapon. Hinge defenders at the front of the sides protect the hinges and also prevent side stranding.

Comments/suggestions/teacakes you're not likely to get?

I have a new design I've been toying around with, possibly entering next time. The idea was to make a wedge/lifter/thwack/anti-spinner bot. I'll probably continue tweaking it, but here's what I got so far.

Ooh, that's a nice concept, Chris. A thwacker that actually serves as a lifter and can deflect spinners. Nice texturing too :lol: good concept, really nice. :)

The only real issue I see with it is that the arm may be too small to thwack properly. You might want to make it longer in case a bot comes in really fast or something.

hot shot looks really unique and awesome at the same time.

It sucks going 0-5. You lose all 4 of your bot fights for the week and you also lose at life.

well, i was actually planning out a vert spinner revitalization for next season, then dylan had to make that post. i just went from THE vert spinner to 'another' vert spinner, lol.

Right, so the way things have turned out so far...

LW: Anti-Virus may or may not be returning, either refreshed or not, depending on how far he goes in the post-season. Troubloon may take his place, or a redesigned Scarab, if the vertical spinner craze retains its popularity. Most likely Troubloon though.

MW: Jinx, for sure. There is no way in hell Terminus is returning. :P Perseus, maybe later. Still have to edit Jinx a bit, but she should be nearly the same.

HW: Shadow Zone Forever is deffo returning again, next season will probably be his last ARC (for a while, anyway), then I'll bring in a new HW. Will probably edit even in the 'new' render of him I put up for you all, further.

SHW: Tax Cutter may return, but not next season. Depending on how Anti-Virus does in LW, I may put Troubloon in this division instead, or redesign Fulcrum. PA:EC looks more likely to be going in though, though I'm taking Chris' advice; the dustpan's too small. :P

So yeah.

Here's my probable lineup for next time:

LW Hot Shot - redesigned a bit from last time I showed him, but I'm still hoping e works as well as I hope.

MW Sunshine 2 - Yeah, laugh all you want, I believe he could be very good. Highly modified and is probably going with a speed hammer this time.

HW The Dark Side of Cupid 2 - Back again with a different painjob and touched up a bit. He looks sexy.

SHW Solar Smash 4 - New redesign. Refer to Byte Size for how he basically looks now.

This is what I'm thinking so far:

LW: Thwedge - His stats will probabaly stay more or less the same, but he's getting interchangeable weapons (all drivetrain powered) and wheel guards to help him fight spinners.

MW: Loki - Final Destiny-style spinner with a top mounted self-righting bar. He'll intentionally have low traction to knock himself away from opponents after he hits them, and it's going to hurt :P

HW: Extra-otherm - A heavyweight version of Exotherm, which I acquired from Nick. Looks exactly the same as its lightweight counterpart, but uses different components and has a different stat allocation.

SHW: Slammer MK2 - Inflammatory Slammer evolves! Now weaponless, with less points in speed and more in armour. He'll have skirts and pointed sprung wedges at the front, plus an anti-spinner ram at the rear. Watch out ;)

Now I just need someone to do CADS... :P pretty pleeeeez? :lol:
