All my Armageddon bots bar Kraze have never returned. They were shit. Don't think Freezerburn will be returning without a redesign of some kind, either. Frequency might be seen again if I can get the stats right. I'm just really wanting to make Scatterbrain work right now. Almost broke even in Dead Zone, so hopefully I'll be able to get myself on the right side of .500 in the next tournament he enters. Kraze will continue on if he keeps winning, Agent X might be sidelined if he fails to make the playoffs. I think his versatility is being trumped by more specialised designs. Braveheart, meanwhile, is looking decidedly boss. I think he'll be sticking around for a while if I can iron out any problems that appear. |

I really don't know at this point. Between BlackRose and Anti-Virus, BlackRose is the better rammer, so it's time BlackRose returned. I have no idea when I will bring Anti-Virus back. Luna may have another go in the future but I want to build on Jinx's record, and give my clusterbot a go. Cutie Honey is young so she needs more experience, but otherwise Shadow Zone Forever will (hopefully) resume his duties of kicking ass and taking names. Tax Cutter has proven to be much better this time around so he may become a staple in my team. Want to test Teresa out in Badnik's tourney though. As for other bots, Wedginator REALLY only took part in Badnik's rumble, so I'm still tempted to enter him in something. He is literally my oldest vapourbot ever, since 2002. Also really contemplating switching Just One Fix for Scarab in Badnik's tourney. Scarab will get yet another redesign and hopefully not be so shit. Fulcrum is now a given for whatever comes after the next two tourneys, as is Xianghua. Who knows? I may bring Terminus back yet for a laugh. Hell, maybe even Troubloon.

Kite![]() ![]() I'm gonna call this 99.99999% complete, as I can't be bothered to export him to Maya and use the complicated texture-mapping there. Anyway, Kite here is a 27kg (LW) flipper similar to The Matador. Driven by 24v drill motors and 2 wheels near the front (not as much as The Matador, though. S5-Matador could hardly turn about), Kite is as manoeuvrable as it gets. The powerful flipping arm can flip around a tonne on the tip. The 6063 aluminium alloy exoskeleton and 2mm Grade 5 titanium armour provide some protection against heavy-duty weaponry. He's going to be joining Fulcrum and the soon-to-come Xianghua in my flipper squad. As for HW, still having a hard time deciding who to use there. |

Looks brilliant, in my view. The one thing I am a bit worried about is the self-righting, but I'm guessing it's probably okay. How do you get the textures all shiny like that? Or does 2.0 not do that? |

I'm using Rhino 4.0 SR5 with the Flamingo 1.1 plug-in. The Flamingo plug-in is how I'm getting the shiny textures. |

I have noticed that over the last 3/4 years, there have been barely any dustpan type bots around here, sans Giant Swan and PA:EC. Time for me to try and revive the type![]() This is Smashy Smashy EVO. This bot is designed to be a hammer/dustpan hybrid with a hinged wedge at the front to help feed bots into the dustpan. Once there, the hammer will come down and strike them down with wrath. The hammer will be low powered, less than 8 points. Reason being, I wanted something that could rack up aggression points. If need be, the axe can right the bot. 4WD Here's the potential stats Armour: 7 Speed: 6 Wedge: 8 Traction: 4 Torque: 2 Weapon: 2 |

Okay, uh, yeah. The same thing that happened with SHW (Fulcrum or PA:EC) is now happening with HW. I thought I would throw Wedginator into the flipper team, but I've just realized he is going to absolutely SUCK against any remotely powerful horizontal spinner that knows what it's doing (i.e: Parasite, Revolver Ocelot :P) because of that narrow front frame. Both Shadow Zone Forever and Cutie Honey are good for taking on h-spinners because they have scoopy attachments (CH is slightly better than SZF in this regard because her scoop gets an armour bonus for being attached to the weapon). On the other hand, entering one of them would make my entire team rear-hinged flippers which would be boring, and Wedginator (X, anyway) is currently a front-hinged flipper. The problem is I'm not sure where to go with Wedginator anymore. After 10 years of redesigning that thing (jesus fuck that's a long time), redesigning it gets redundant. http://teamzlayerz.proboards.com/thread/21/wedginator I'm an indecisive bastard. What do I do?

Yeah it sound like you're in a similar position with Wedgeinator that I was with Zombie Killer. After awhile there's only so much you can change before it becomes redundant. Looking at the lastest version I don't think there's much more to be done. I'd say either enter him as is (maybe change the skin if you want) or just go back to the drawing board completely with something new. |

I was actually thinking of entering my other FRA flipper that's done relatively well over the years, but it's also a rear-hinged flipper itself so that sucks. My heavyweight squad here though is chock-full of flippers sans Killobite, and designing ANOTHER NEW FLIPPER will probably kill my brain. @_@ Like with MW I had to stop with Jinx, I had three fucking axebots in three tournaments. XP I'll probably just enter SZF or CH. SZF most likely. |
