Something I've just noticed, the ARC Rules and Regulations has no mention of translational thwacks, or the fact their Weapon stat dictates how fast they can move across the arena floor. Shouldn't someone add that, in case a newbie wants to submit one? |

Somehow I have a bunch of ideas and concepts ready, though not in Rhino yet. Two of them basically fought Tax Cutter for my SHW spot, but TC won out. Anyway, here are some crazy names for them, should there come another tournament. The Kaleidoscopic God (an invertible disc-on-wedge thing that functions as an undercutter when inverted) Teresa the Serbian Nun (a lifter/pneumatic spike combo) Archetype (some weird wedge/vertical disc hybrid) Anger Denial Acceptance (three-part cluster based on The Swarm) The Fun Machine Took A Shit And Died (dual hammerbot not unlike Diesector) All of the names are music based except for Teresa the Serbian Nun. Yeah, my mind is fucked up. And I am loving it.

I recognise the Queens Of The Stone Age influence. And I'm glad that one of my designs has had some degree of influence over another member, particularly one as good as Kody. =) Looking forward to seeing some of these in action, if the time should come for them. |

Here's that MW clusterbot I was thinking of. Not particularly well rendered, but I tried. Anger Denial Acceptance Packed together: ![]() Anger side: ![]() Acceptance side: ![]() Anger is a horizontal undercutter. Invertible. Denial is a pushbot with multiple hinged wedges at different heights. Also invertible. Acceptance is a vertical spinner with two scoops surrounding it. Non-invertible, but hopefully can smack itself back onto its feet with the disc. |

Do the bots get 10 points each? Because if so then the stat system would kill that design. I can't think of any way to divide the points to make it good. If it were just two it might be possible, but not with three. 3-ways tend not to work out IRL too much. Note that the Swarm divided the weight unevenly. The spinning portion got a bit extra, just to make the weapon more effective. |

The current system gives clusterbots 30 - 4n, where n is the number of robots in the cluster. Therefore this bot would get 18 stat points to work with. |

Well alright then. That seems doable. Anger: Speed - 3 Traction - 1 Torque - 1 Weapon - 12 Armor - 1 Wedge - 0 Just enough to move and cause damage. A glass cannon robot with absolutely nothing else, but the other two can do the shoving. Scissors. Denial: Speed - 5 Traction - 4 Torque - 1 Weapon - 0 Armor - 2 Wedge - 6 The most mobile bot in the crew. It slips under and carries opponents with the high wedge stat. Paper. Acceptance: Speed - 5 Traction - 1 Torque - 1 Weapon - 4 Armor - 6 Wedge - 1 I wouldn't have given this one a weapon, personally. I think you needed an armor bot. You need something that can dive right into the enemy's line of fire without getting incapacitated. You needed a rock, but instead you get a second, shittier pair of scissors, because you're a derp.
