Figured I'd go ahead and post these. Two potential MW entries and the final result of 2 years of design. I've been trying to make a universal MW platfrom for some time (JAKT was the first try) and there have been several different variants but I finally managed to combine the JAKT and No Joy designs into a single platform.

As you can see both designs manage to closely follow their original versions, but are actually based on a single identical chassis.

The chassis follows several of my most prominent design features. A 1" tubular steel frame with aluminum armor panels and new diamond plate top armor. Cambered wheels for an improved center of gravity and a slight increase in traction without sacrificing mobility. Large tires that exceed most of the angles of the frame, making it extremely difficult for opponents to control me. The tires themselves have heavily armored axles and beadlocked wheels to minimize the threats involved in having them exposed. The rear of the chassis has a high angle, allowing the bot to wheelie very far back if nessecary and escape if an opponent gets under the front. The center of the frame has a pair of bearing blocks to support either weapon system and allow them to move freely. At the rear are a pair of attachment points for the weapon support and drive systems.

The rear of the chassis now uses a universal attachment system with four threaded holes and grade 8 bolts for durability. This system is truly universal in that all of the rear attachments have the same mounting holes and near equal weight, meaning either bot can use any of several interchangeable rear weapons.

JAKT: I always wanted a bot with a saw, so I took the opportunity here to indulge myself. Saws aren't that great but this bot is primarily a pusher, and has a unique way of making use of the saw. In this configuration, two of the front armor screws are replaced with rubber mounts that hold two wedges on. At the center of the bot is a tubular steel cage with a rubber shock mounted gas powered rescue saw. The saw can be outfitted with a variety of blades based on the opponent's armor. The unique feature of the weapon cage is that it can pivot on the chassis bearing blocks. At the top of the cage is a single acting gas shock linked to the rear of the frame. This shock keeps the saw from hitting the ground, but allows it to pivot upward when it hits something. This allows the saw to move up without raising the wedges off the ground. The shock does however keep downward pressure on the cage, allowing JAKT to pin an opponent with the wedges and then literally saw through them. JAKT's primary rear weapon is the anti-spinner titanium plow.

No Joy: After this season it has become apparent that No Joy sucks against spinners. One of the biggest factors in that is the small exposed jaws. For the redesign No Joy's jaws are much bigger and sturdier. They can also completely overbite, making them a lower more effective wedge and preventing the top jaw front taking heavy damage against spinners. The lower improved center of gravity in the new chassis and much heavier jaws mean No Joy doesn't require a rear springloaded tail to keep the jaws on the floor anymore. The primary rear weapon on No Joy is the wedge/thwack tail (just hinged this time). A unique feature of the tail is that if the lower jaw is opened, thus lowering the back of the frame to the ground, it lays against the floor and can be used as a "keep-away-stick".

BTW: Yes that is 3D diamond plate, textures are a crutch.
The unforeseen consequences of ABC's Battlebots selection process:

1999: Shadetree tinkerer sees combat robots made from wheelchair parts and old tire rims; says I can do this. Hobby robotic combat is born.

2016: Shadetree tinkerer sees combat robots that look like they were designed by NASA engineers with DARPA funding; says I can't do this. Hobby robotic combat dies.

That's it. I'm taking more time on my CADs from now on.

Yeah, every time I manage to spend a lot of time fucking with Rhino I end up stepping my game up.

What does TVW stand for?
There are few crimes in our modern society that merit public beating. Interrupting someone's enjoyment of Messiah to request "Jingle Bells" by the Singing Dogs is irrefutably one such offense.

TVW stood for Trojan/Virus/Worm, back when I was interested in computer viruses.

Caught the damn Rhino bug again, cranked this out in about an hour.

I've been really interested in making a real-life MW, here's an initial render. Wheels are way-off I know, just placeholders. I am going to do some research on more real MW so I can get a good size-reference.

The idea would be to have two different spinning weapons, a two-tooth vertical blade for fighting other vertical spinners, rammers, and horizontal spinners. Other option would be the M.O.E. style hammer-bar for flippers and wedges.

The idea behind two spinning weapons is this: Blade would be lighter than the bar, so I would be able to add a rounded plate on the back to take horizontal spinner damage. The robot would not be invertible with the blade, however. Idea for the M.O.E. spinner is that by not being a solid mass, in the event of being flipped the bot could still drive inverted, even though the weapon would be worthless. Also, because I wouldn't need to worry about having the extra armor in the back, the hammer-weapon could be much heavier, delivering harder hits.

I'll go ahead and add a SHW I'm planning on entering in either Fantasy Fury or the next ARC tournament. The significant thing about this design is that it's the first I've designed myself. I included a few simple capations to help explain the design. So without further ado, I present Tali'Zorah.

I should go 3-1 this week but it'll probably be something like 0-4 or 0-5.

It sucks going 0-5. You lose all 4 of your bot fights for the week and you also lose at life.

It's not a multi-bot, it's a picture of two different MW's. Although I had thought of making a third weapon system and making a SHW multi out of them. I guess they could also be a HW multi if one of them was fighting without a rear weapon.

Actually, I was referring to it being 1 robot with 2 interchangeable weapons and an interchangeable paint scheme.

So true. Also, if you bring back The Gladiator next time, be sure to give it a lot of weapon power, or else it won't do much.

Dude the axes on The Gladiator are designed to not do much. They mainly prevent robots from flying over my wedge and to rack up some easy points.

Mark. I have new ideas to put Y-combat and others in it's place

My new middleweight will have 11 armour points. It's Merry Hampton EVO

My new Heavyweight will be Dr Thwack EVO. Bigger Better and BADDER

My lightweight, Ive currently undecided. The Sevant might return or might not. Just cant decide

My Super Heavyweight Will be a scaled up Hammer&Nails. Faster and more armoured

So be prepared Mark. Our Battle record is 2-2. I want to make it bigger (in a sporting way)
