I've got an idea for this year's delicious ARCCon cake. Maybe white chocolate pretzels? |

I just deleted two pages worth of posts. Stop being morons and we'll not have that happen again. For the record: All side view pics of a bot will have wheels/treads/walker legs sticking out of the bot or else it doesn't move. Not a hard concept. The end. |

Aw, I missed all the fun. Sparkey, if you want it to stop filling in with paint splotches, draw your bot as a bmp first. Don't save it as a jpg file until AFTER you're finished, and even then, make that jpg as a copy. Keep the original as a bmp in case you wish to alter it later. |
| There are few crimes in our modern society that merit public beating. Interrupting someone's enjoyment of Messiah to request "Jingle Bells" by the Singing Dogs is irrefutably one such offense. | |

Or use XnView, if you play with the options you can make no loss JPEGs. That's how I do my final pics and it's free (google XnView). |

Back to the actual topic... I've already started on an updated No Joy and D-Back. No teaser pics just yet, but here is a list of goals I have for the re-designs. No Joy: Lower more aggressive profile, longer and lower jaws, lighter frame (reduction in the overkill armor at the wheels), reenforced jaw supports with a full tube frame to house the weapon assembly, improved rear weapon with internal torsion springs to replace the vulnerable coil spring. Right now the stats aren't changing but I'll know more about that by the end of the season. Diamondback: More compact and sturdy frame (keeping with the Copperhead heritage), restructured front armor panels for enhanced deflection. The major change will be that the omni-system will be mounted in a moveable swing arm with a coil spring and gas shock. This set-up will press down at the rear, tipping the bot forward to put increased pressure on the flipper to help it get under other bots. I already know a few stat changes I want to make; most noteably increased armor. HW and LW are still in the works, with several prototypes in developement. |

For me, things are still up in the air. LW: I'll probably use an upgraded version of Hot Shot or Red Zone. It primarily depends on how HS does this season, but bank on a scrappy LW lifter bot to be used. MW: I usually have Barrier on a rotation, so he's due up next time, which means he'll probably be back. HW and SHW: I said to myself that I would make brand new designs for these classes. Currently I'm having designers block, so it's not going well with coming up with stuff, but I'll probably get there eventually. |

Re-stating...almost: LW: Looking on giving Scarab a redesign. I think he could have done much better in Reckoning with a few tweaks. MW: Jinx will stay...if she has a winning record. And that's looking pretty likely. If she doesn't, then Solstice will come back from Backlash's remains and pwn. HW: lol SZF...I think it's time I shelved him for now. He may return...he may not. Definitely not next season though...unless Pinpoint or The Windmill return. Hey, if they can go on for 4 seasons straight, I daresay SZF can. Would have to give him an overhaul though, the 6WD is fucking him up. Either that or 7 speed just isn't enough. Whatever the case, he'll need better stat allocation and design. Besides that outcome though, he ain't coming back for a while, at least. I might bring in a vertical crusher in his place. Not sure. SHW: I am thinking of another new design here...if I fail to come up with one I'll just keep PA:EC here. |
