Just to bring this up, could anybody explain to me what the benefit of more than four wheels on a robot would offer apart from screwing your turning speed? |

well, in real life its obviously traction. and the turning thing that everyone likes to bring up in these fantasy leagues is WAY out of proportion. seriously, youtube some war machine(10 small wheels) or new cruelty(8 big wheels), and watch them turn hardly an issue. war machine turns just as fast as any other 4+ wheeled bot, and new cruelty has a slight bit of lag because of the width of his tires(lots of grip). i believe that part of the thought is that there is a lesser chance of bottoming out because of break over angle too(since there is a set or 2 at the break over angle(center of the bot). this could help drive off of a part of the arena or even another robot instead of getting stuck on them with 1 set or even no wheels on the ground. if there was one thing i would like to change here, its the damn turning speed of robots with lots of wheels(totally not defending my old designs either, since they were pretty much just screwing around). simply put, any robot with any reasonable amount of speed can turn fast enough to not get raped every time the opponent is like 6 feet from its side(again, i reference the war machine and new cruelty fights). |

It depends on the torque of said robot. I made a mock-up bot using tamiya gearboxes and it turned like shit, actually made the motors hotter than hell. But I'm sure it would have turned better if I had better motors. |

well yea. i mean, if your gonna design a bot like that, i think its safe to say that you have the correct drivetrain to power it(for example: your tamiya bot obviously didn't have the correct drivetrain, lol). |

alright, now everything's updated. there were some big, noticeable jumps, like Paul33088 overtaking Philip for the #3 spot, Alex overtaking Josh for the #5 spot, and John overtaking Steve and G-Paul for the #7 spot. Panic and ACAMS also had a big jump, from like #20-something to #14 and #12, respectively. |

It looks pretty Alex. Hold your head high in that regard. |
| There are few crimes in our modern society that merit public beating. Interrupting someone's enjoyment of Messiah to request "Jingle Bells" by the Singing Dogs is irrefutably one such offense. | |

I feel like a fucking celebrity around here.

Looking back over my stats, there's so many bots I don't even remember. These were all made by me, and I can't even picture a single one of them. I'll have to take a look at my old cfrc/ff picture files on my backup harddrive and find pics of these. Orga Angilas Black Heart Undershrike Ladies and Gentlemen, This is the Death Composition |

Also, in case anyone cared, these are the current longest win-streaks in CFL history. 1. Striker, 19 wins in a row, ended by Adrenaline during Carnage 2. Japanese School Girl, 18 wins in a row, ended by Copperhead during Revolution 3. Eurypterus, 16 wins in a row, ended by Drive during Reckoning Eurypterus was the most recent holder of the longest intact record. With his recent loss, I think the new holder of the longest intact record is Underall, with 12 wins during Reckoning. |
