3-1: a bit surprised by Hoarfrost's win, and a bit more surprised by Meanstreak's first loss, though some of that may have been my fault. Overall, I can't complain about how my team is doing. It's 13-3, though I'm in some tough divisions and only two bots are in playoff position right now. Hoarfrost - It took a bad opening loss to La Valette, but hopefully that'll be the only one for a while. It's been performing as expected since then. Fast wedges, you know. Sundancer - I didn't really get it when people said this'd be good, but the mobility provided by the mecanums works really well with a pretty strong hammer. People haven't been able to avoid it. Meanstreak - This was my big experiment for this tournament and I thought it'd do either really well or crash and burn. The reality has fallen somewhere in between. It's been decent, and I can live with that. Krakatoa - Aside from a loss to Speed Bison that I find kind of questionable, this one's been doing what it was supposed to do from the start. The fire hasn't been as effective as I hoped, but you can't have everything, I guess. |

And that's me all done for this week. With the way it's looking at the moment, I'm hoping to attain a 3-1, maybe even a 4-0 if everything goes to plan. Really though; as long as I win with Dreadnought, that's the most important thing for me, this week. |

Anyways, my robots (and Jamies, as I was rping for him): Well that was a rough week. Sure, Cutthroat won but Raus's result hasn't come in, Panzer got fucked and Blitz was a mistake on par with Claptrap's creation. Also, my shitty rps for robots i didn't fully understand cost Jamie some potential wins on Ayame, Needles doesn't even have his match listed in the Results page, and Nyam Nyam Nya is probably dead. White Lightning just isn't seeing the same success it had last time. Probably because I'm not being as courageous with the thwack. But hey it took out Cream. Diablo Genesis is possibly my most successful MW to date (he just has to get past Vovoka :V). Doing very well after a scary 0-2 fall, while flipping the likes of Kid A to increase the chances of getting a playoff spot Coup de Grâce? Eh. Not bad, but not great. I can tell people aren't a fan of the walker system. But hey, it's still doing Coup things against Golden Blaze, Micro Cuts, and almost even Meanstreak. Add that with the fact that this thing has a chance to kill most of the spinners here, and this could go all the way again Fenrir. Holy shit. The one bot I gave no configs. Basically Minotaur, and it's doing outstanding. It had a controversial loss to Froral Fury, but aside from that it's killed Hartman's Youkai Bot, Parasoul, Count Bleck (unsurprisingly), and surprisingly, Ikea's Guard Dog. If this thing is killing bricks AND spinners with little problem, that's basically half the meta. Here's hoping. Now I just have to figure out how to take out Lifter 2. Hmmm... |

Week 5-well, that's a round that I would like to forget (after a hopefully more successful next round). 1-3 with the win by The Thieving Magpie being only by FF. There were numerous issues with all of the bots-issues had piled up quickly after Week 4 and the team just wasn't able to resolve everything for Wk 5. Harpy worked well, but lost mainly due to an 'under-the-weather' operator. Death Metal-was being typical DM. I still stand by my theory that this machine is posessed and just likes to go 'F- You' and not drive properly. I took everything apart again and did a thorough check of the electronics-nothing appears wrong...so strange. Then, I received a nasty shock from it :/ Triple-6, well, was just plain outdriven by Xonotic. Guess I'll chalk that Loss up to subpar driving, as well. Hope things go better for Week 6! I thought the point of Dream Team was not to have another competitive team, but to have filler bots, and instead of trying to integrate BYEs into the schedule, which would have been an absolute bitch to pull off considering how scheduling works. I didn't feel the need to try and cheese two bots in the same weight class into the play-offs, that's why I entered Count Bleck in the first place, as a filler bot meant to lose every week. MEANT to. Obviously quality of other bots' design, or stats, or people forfeiting, are likely to interfere, but I can't control everything, nor do I want or need to. While, yes, I'm kind of irritated with how Eye of n00t was statted, that by no means dictates how I would write for it, and I haven't even had to yet. Same with Chad the Inhaler. The thing with Chad, however, is that it just has too much speed for me to really take seriously; it's gonna whiff a lot, and honestly a high speed ram like that will probably crumple or at least do something of note to its 4 armour anyway. :V If you guys want to argue with me about it, though, honestly you're wasting your time. Arguing over meme robots is ridiculous. |

Quite simply put it bugs me that no rp I could possibly put up for the robot will be taken seriously. In situations when i have the advantage, I should really win. There’s literally no point to the dream team if you’re just going to treat it as a glorified ff week, and I’m just gonna stop rping for it if that the case |

Then please enlighten me as to how I would incorporate BYEs into the schedule. Because however much you think of the Dream Team as a "glorified FF week", BYEs are far worse to work with. Don't believe me? Ask Chris. He had to deal with them in ARC: Reckoning. Also you probably skimmed my post, but I did say I took Chad's fights seriously... but it's your fault you gave it the stats you did. 12 speed, 10 traction, and 4 armour is a horrible combination. You'll be flying all over the place hitting stuff and taking self-damage from your own rams. Outside of forfeits, literally the only bots I can see you capable of defeating are Duck King (which you did) and Devil's Verdict because I was a dumbass with my stats. |
