Well, fuck.

Analysis
Oh joy, it's the undercutter that nobody likes but still keeps on showing up anyway despite Klarinette beating him every time ( :v: ). Big disc obviously, but he's not a SteveOUT design this time, so there's more chassis that I can potentially get at with my Flipper if I'm lucky. Plus, although he's got the powerful weapon, his stats are otherwise quite mediocre. He's pretty slow, has poor control from the low Traction, his rear wedge can easily be nullified by attacking it anywhere other than dead-on, and has low enough Armour in relation to his Weapon power for there to be a big risk of his weapon breaking down if I flip him around enough. And if that happens (Though knowing that spinners never break down on here unless fighting other spinners, probably not), then hopefully I can be in good enough shape to pick him off afterwards.

Strategy
Stopper and Wedge Extenders on.

Onward to thy doom. Right off the bat, I'll want to be as aggressive as hell and in his face constantly- move out quickly, approach him from the sides and in the opposite direction to which his disc is spinning. Keep the front facing him as I force my way underneath, and once I am under and have tanked the initial impact, flip him over to nullify his undercutting ability and allow me to get under more effectively. From there, concentrate on keeping underneath and in contact with the disc throughout to keep him from spinning it up, comboing him with big flips, and in between attempts to flip him out of the Arena, (Yes writers, the OOTA Zone does exist. -GF93) focus on trying to break his disc, squashing him into the walls to wear down the Clock, and forcing him into the Drum and Pulverisers to break the disc.

Again, focus on aggressive defence for the most part, here. Stay underneath and in contact throughout, keep him herded near the walls and hazards, and keep the front end facing him and my sides/back as well-protected as possible. Keep a good berth from the hazards when I'm not taking him to them myself, go for the disc first, take the fight to him directly, don't be passive, and be utterly relentless throughout. Ideally I hope to be able to put him out the Arena twice or break the disc and win on aggression and strategy from there, but as long as I survive or at the very least give him a good fight here, that should be good.

Good luck, Alex MW.

  • 14 weapon power to 8 armor. I shouldn't have to say more than this, really. He does NOT get the +2 armor bonus from a weapon, since his weapon exceeds the 33% rule. So he's vulnerable all over.
  • All he has is a flipper. I'm invertible, what do I care about being flipped.
  • He's not really fast either. He won't be able to box rush me, and he'll have a hard time juggling flips because of his speed. We're only one point apart on speed.
  • For some reason he's keeping his wedge extenders on, which just give the blade another area to hit and grab onto. Generally when fighting a spinner you want a smooth, flush surface that doesn't give the teeth a place to grip and tear. He's done the opposite of that here.
  • Basically I threaten a knockout after a couple of hits. Come in undercutter and hit him as hard as I can. One or two hits should be all it takes to actually knockout his flipper.
  • Anyway the whole fight really kinda hinges on whether Terminal Velocity can last a full three minutes when fighting a robot that has a +6 weapon to armor advantage over his entire robot. I would be that he can't.
Good luck.
