-Well this match has some interesting implications. His lifter area isn't really wide enough for any part of my bot to fit into, and neither the forks nor the lifting plate has great range (either one only extends past the edge of his chassis by maybe an inch) so it'll be all but impossible for him to use their higher armor value for defense.

-Speaking of defense, I have a 6 point advantage over his armor with my weapon, so at worst I'm cause high levels of damage to his flat armor and cutting holes into it right away, or if I hit a corner (particularly the edges of the gap his lifter fits into) it's pretty likely I can 1 Hit KO him.

-With that in mind my gameplan is pretty straightforward. Move out of my square a bit to get away from the walls and then just focus on keeping my weapon facing him. He's only 2 points faster than me, and my blades have such a wide attack radius that he'd have to try and sweep around that this shouldn't be too tall of an order.

-As stated, any shot my weapon lands on him is going to hurt him a lot. They key is stringing hits together, so make sure I get my weapon spinning up again as soon as possible.

-Stay away from the hazards and just focus on making sure he eats enough hits to put him out of commission.

Good Luck!

I should go 3-1 this week but it'll probably be something like 0-4 or 0-5.

It sucks going 0-5. You lose all 4 of your bot fights for the week and you also lose at life.

Well, not a whole lot I can do, and not a lot of time to come up with some genius strategy to counter it, either.

Analysis
Big spinner, obviously the big thing to watch out for. Has plenty of range as well, but its stats are mediocre otherwise- with low drive and armour values and practically non-existant Torque, so if I can just stop the spinner by using his low reliability and massive range against him, then I could be in with a chance since that's what it predominantly relies on.

Strategy
Equip the Scoop Wedge. It'll be harder to damage overall due to filling in the usual gap, and should allow me to survive longer.

I'll keep it brief here, but what I'll do is be balls-to-the-wall aggressive throughout and take the fight to him directly. Move in quickly, press down the Lifter and block the initial impact by driving into him from the opposite direction his blade is spinning in, and from there stick to him like glue- keep in contact with him throughout and constantly lifting/shoving him about to block him from spinning up, keep him herded near the walls and hazards (Especially the Drum and Pulverisers to cause as much damage to his blades and weapon mechanism as I can (And possibly even break them with persistence) and again use his large range against him by preventing his blade from spinning, and just generally do what I can to keep him from spinning up, destroy his weapon mechanism first, and remain on top and in control throughout.

In terms of defence, stay in contact and/or keep him herded next to the walls and hazards constantly to stop him from spinning up, keep my corners as well-protected as possible throughout, don't raise the Lifter when I'm not underneath, and basically, don't be passive at all. Just literally be as aggressive and controlling as I possibly can, block him from spinning up throughout, and DON'T GIVE HIM ANY OPPORTUNITIES TO SPIN BACK UP WHATSOVER. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH.

Good luck Josh.
