THERE IS NO FEAR -We'll stick with the wedge for this match. Mimete is probably the opponent with the closest speed Harbinger has fought, but I still have a 2 point advantage, not too shabby. -As an actual offensive weapon, Mimete's lifter is all but useless. It's literally only there so Kody can press it into the floor to try and beat out other wedges. Even the insert spike lifters aren't all that much better. Mimete also so much armor dedicated to it's front that the rest of the bot is left rather soft. -To start out, we'll charge out make sure that we meet straight head-on, none of this angle-in shit to start things, and I'm not going to let Mimete bother with that either. Use my better speed to make sure there's none of that. -The reason being is that I have an idea for what to do for if I get under Mimete or not. If I do, then work my wedge to the main chassis. If I can do that, I should be able to get some of it's wheels off the floor and then I can start pushing. At worst, it'll force Kody to try and J-hook away or something like that and with my superior speed, I should have a good chance at scooping Mimete up from an even better angle. At this point try to drive it around to the hazards to exploit it's 6 armor. -Now if I don't get under Mimete's lifter, then all that will happen is that the lifter will get under my wedge. Mimete's lifter isn't deep enough to get to my main chassis before we deadlock. Since we have equal torque there won't be much movement going on. However, I can quickly swing around my thwack tail and smack into Mimete's side. My thwack power has a 3 point advantage, so at best I can qualify for hammer damage/corner damage and cause significant damage. At worst I'm still causing some minor damage anyway. Plus I should knock Mimete around and that should help open up a better attack angle for me to get my wedge in. -So long story short, keep my wedge facing Mimete as much as possible, mix in the thwack if we're deadlocked and try to push Mimete around to the hazards. Don't allow myself to get lured to the hazards and be as aggressive as possible. Good Luck! |

Great. Thwackbots. Hinged teeth off please. (that especially means you Spatula )So, a few points about Mimete that helps her brush off the thwack. Namely, the wide and angled nature of the plow. The closer Harbinger is to Mimete, the harder it's going to be for him to get a hit on the main body at all, or even the plow arms. The plow juts out enough so that Harbinger's (somewhat small) thwack hammer won't be able to hit the side of Mimete without the arm coming into contact with the plow. Now, I don't know how much of an impact that would be, but I don't think it would be enough to turn Mimete around enough for an opening. Secondly, the plow arms themselves are tapered near the top/bottom of Mimete, so Harbinger (with somewhat of a tapered hammer himself) won't get as much of a good shot even if he does get beyond the plow. So what I want to do is go right at Harbinger. Yeah, like I'm going to angle in against a robot that's faster. Big hoot. When we've like closed the distance between ourselves like about half, lower the plow lifter and get under. He might try to thwack when we crash together. (regardless of who gets under who) That would be a big mistake because he would be so near the thwack hammer wouldn't get around the plow because the arm would, so he would open himself up for absolutely nothing. If he gets under me, back off obv. J-Hook a bit. If I get under him? Dig under his main body and raise the Voltronic-ish forks. Hook him. We might have the same torque but if I get even one of his wheels of the ground, that's game. Hazards please. Especially the hammers. That'll do some nice damage to his 7 armour. Don't go to the corner disc, he's got rounded edges almost everywhere. ![]() Don't let him get to the sides obv. He might be faster, but he's got less control, and especially with 2WD. Aggression, aggression, hazards, aggression, hazards, aggression, blahblahblah. You know the drill. GL Josh. |
