I actually like Bulletproof Bomb a lot, it's John's first version of Diamondback done right. I wish Bomb would have stayed a Heavyweight. I hate when robots change weight classes. ![]() *Mimete blows a kiss... of death* Now that I have thoroughly disgusted you all, let's move on. ![]() ---- Bulletproof Bomb has a heavy flipper. I might have to depend on the lifter a lot here. Because I have the better drivetrain, I'm gonna angle in on him and aim to get under the static shields before his flipper, because his flipper's lip doesn't reach out too far. I will keep the lifter pressed down a bit though, just in case. The only way Bomb can reliably get anything going is if he gets around the front of Mimete. With better drivetrain and both robots' 4WD, Mimete won't let that happen. Mimete, when relying on hazards, will utilize the corner saw/disc and the hammers, which will do the most damage to Bomb over the course of the match. If Mimete gets flipped over, go to the drum lifter-first. Avoid the OOTA zone as much as possible. Good luck GF. |

Unfortunately, I don't appear to have Jackal this time, but let's see what I can do here. Analysis She's a bit faster and has slightly better Torque than I do, but I have better agility due to my Traction ratio and tighter wheelbase (Not to mention the bigger wheels), and I'm still fast enough to keep up all the while as well. Her weapons look tricky to get around, but both of them are still pretty slow and weak, meaning I still have a brief window of opportunity to drive off before she raises them, and I have the potential to score more points with a performance of throwing versus lifting with my Flipper. Plus, they become useless when she's turned over, so if I can get her over even once and keep her away from say, the Drum or Killsaws, then the fight's more-or-less in the bag. Only 6 Armour to her chassis as well due to the Armour Bonus, so when I get to the chassis directly and attack it, that'll hurt her a lot. Plus, her small wheels and ground clearance make her especially vulnerable to being wedged up by my Front Shields, which will nullify her torque advantage and make her highly vulnerable to being dumped out of the Arena all the while. Strategy Alright, let's do this. Move out quickly, keep the Flipper down, and focus on attacking the corners or sides of Mimete as she approaches- not directly head-on, but it should be easier to get under from there. Once I'm underneath, pop her onto her back with my Flipper, and from there, get shoving her around. If I can simply get underneath as well, that'd be good too since I'll have the freedom to shove her around where I want, more-or-less. Keep my sides/back protected, don't fire the Flipper unless I'm definitely underneath, and since her Lifter/Spikes are very slow and weak, if I do end up on them, J-turn off with my big wheels and counterattack her from behind as she passes. When attacking, Aggression all the way. Flip her over once to begin with to disable her weapons and wedging abilities, and from there, don't flip her back over. Focus on ramming and shoving her around, keeping her herded near the walls and hazards (But away from the Drum at all times to prevent her from righting herself at any point), squashing her into the walls to wear down the clock, and in terms of hazards, focus predominantly on the Killsaws, Pulverisers, Corner Saws, and the OOTA Zone to put her out of the Arena twice if I can. Keep her away from the Drum at all costs when she's flipped, though- and if she does try to right herself (Though hopefully she shouldn't do if she's flipped), stay close and get under again, before turning her over again ASAP. In terms of defending myself, focus predominantly on Aggressive Defence as stated above- take the fight to her and keep her flipped, herded near the walls/hazards and forced onto the defence as much as possible. At the same time however, watch what she tries and act accordingly, particularly when she's right-side up. Keep my back/sides protected and the front facing her, don't fire the Flipper when I'm not underneath, avoid attacking her head-on, keep a good berth from the hazards when I'm not taking her to them myself, and if she does end up underneath, J-turn or reverse off immediately to get behind her. If she comes at me with the Scoop, REVERSE to trick her into raising it too soon if I have the space to do so, then drive under and get her. Good luck, Kody- bit shorter than usual, but hopefully it'll get the job done all the same.
