Superheavyweight

Stats: + Weapon factor is a huge chunk and could be vital for Terror-Dactyl to win the match should things go his way during the battle. - With only a point behind with speed difference, at least my bot isn’t the slowest in the match so it should catch Pursuit a couple of times depending on my driving skills. - Armour is a big issue even that rear plow gives Pursuit some extra kudos to face an opponent like Terror-Dactyl But I’m sure the crusher of my bot can give this ramming brick a run for it’s money - Pursuit has a three-point difference on traction so this could be the Achilles heel for my bot. - With those hinge wedges in front of Pursuit and the torque advantage too, Pursuit looks like a machine to look out for. Strategy: Alright, Pros & Cons stepped aside time to get into business, since my heavyweight is facing a 6WD ramming machine I best drive carefully in order to avoid Pursuit from slamming Terrordactyl into any hazards. The main priority of my tactic is to try and get onto a side on attack and aim from the wheels or damage the top of his armour to damage some electronics, goodness knows how much stuff is inside that bot it’s almost like a wonderful main course for Terrordactyl. I could trap Pursuit and slam it against the walled spikes and crush the top of him, I need to avoid getting caught off guard if Pursuit ever has a chance to get underneath me, evading his attacks and carrying on crushing it at key points. If however the front wedge of Terrordactyl somehow makes a bounce in front of Pursuit’s hinge wedges I can possibly grab one of them and probably take it to the hazards. This is bound to be a fantastic match and I hope it’s a very good one, It’s not going to be easy and I’m unsure about the outcome. Good Luck! Edited by British-Robotics, Jul 2 2014, 09:51 AM.

8-7 8-5 5-3 0-10 9-5 + I have an extra point of Speed in hand, along with three points of Traction, and four extra wheels. I should be the faster machine during the fight, as well as being a hell of a lot better controlled, especially with my perfect Speed/Traction ratio. + Torque is mine by two points, so pushing him around should be relatively easy. Wedge is less clear-cut, but I like to think I have the advantage. Plus, I definitely have better coverage with my piano wedges compared to his single, narrow front edge. + Weapon is clearly his, but Pursuit is content to simply slam stuff around. Old school. Even with my bonus to my rear plow, I still have the Armour advantage as well, so I should be able to withstand more punishment during the fight than he will. > Rush out, get underneath him, deposit him on the floor flipper. Simple as you like. He will either land on his wheels, at which point I can simply rush in again before he's able to recover properly and shove him across the arena to the other flipper, or he'll land on his back. And, as explicitly stated, he can't self right. So I'll win right there. If he's proving too tricky to get to the flippers, though, then I'll just revert to type and slam him into the walls over and over until something breaks, maybe incorporating hazards into it. Spikes will cause him damage, Compressors will cause him even more damage, Pulverizers could potentially ruin his weapon, and the drums also have the chance to kick him onto his head. Avoid the killsaws, there's not much point in me getting them involved here. Should he try going for my sides, that opens up HIS sides for an attack, where I can get under him straight away and set about shoving him around. If he should get underneath me, then hopefully I'll still be able to escape before he can get his weapon into play, I've plenty of ground clearance for exactly that purpose. Ideally, though, I'll just act like the pushy, infuriating brick that Pursuit is. Excessive force is absolutely fine here. Good luck, TBR, and may the best bot win. =) |
