Peppernut's a good bot but not infallible. However, he beat Reflector Shield last time so I'll see what I can do to take him out and get revenge. Plow off. First thing I notice is that he's longer than wide, and Reflector Shield is a little bit wider than long, if you remove the plow. Which I have done. Har har. Anyway, no stat talk. Straight to the fight. If he comes at me with the narrower wedge, I'm going to try and get around it with my wider wedge. He has to contend with his length and narrow wedge so even with his better drivetrain it won't be easy for him to keep it pointed at me. When I get under him, he'll balance on the spikes at the other end and won't be able to escape, so I'll immediately send him to the hazards, whichever hazard is closest. If I don't get around the wedge and he gets under me I will try to spin myself off of the wedge, since it's so small. Then I will get under him again and hazard-push him. If he comes at me with the wider wedge I'm either going to get under it, or ride up it. If I get under that wedge, I will immediately rush him to a hazard before he can escape. If he gets under me, my hinged wedge will hit his end there and we'll be deadlocked with all our wheels on the ground, and in an equal torque situation. I believe that my 8WD will be able to put all my torque to the ground better than his 6WD can, but if we simply deadlock, that's fine since he can't exactly push me back or make any offensive manoeuvre. If I can push him that way though, again, get him to a hazard before he can back out of it. Whichever end he comes at me with, take note if he decides to go after my sides and cover them as much as I possibly can. I can spin on the spot and he'll have to go around me, so I doubt he'll be able to get around that easily anyway. If I get the chance, cut him off. I won't do this often since he's faster, but I will do it more often if he leads with the narrower wedge. Whatever the case, be very aggressive and take advantage of the fact that he has very few options to control me, and in turn make him my bitch around the arena. Believe in the shield, bitch. Good luck and may the best bot win. |

Fuck Bitches Get Crystals

+ I have an extra point of Speed, an extra point of Traction, and two fewer wheels. I should therefore be faster than the purple bulldozer, as well as more manouverable than the purple bulldozer. Reflector Shield is also purple, and I feel bonus points should go to Peppernut for that. Did I mention Reflector Shield is purple? + Torque is even, so in a pushing match, we'll both do fine. However, he only has one side of wedge, having removed his plow, and I have two sides. So I should hopefully be able to get underneath him more often than he gets under me. + Peppernut needs no puny English weapons. Peppernut respects that Reflector Shield also needs no puny English weapons. I wish to draw attention to RS's Armour stat, though: 10, with a 2-point bonus to the shield. The shield which has been removed. Nothing else has changed on the machine, so it stands to reason that the Armour on RS's entire machine that I will be fighting is 8, the same as mine. It also stands to reason that RS is considerably lighter, having lost that massive plow on the front end. > What else can I do but rush him. Rush him using the side with the spike on it, to prevent him flying over me like a glorified Dutch sleeping policeman after smoking too much cannabis. Charge out all guns blazing and get my wedge under his wedge. From there, my wedge should be long enough to have at least two of his wheels off the ground, and I can push him towards the hazards, or just slam him into the wall, whichever's more convenient. If he gets under me, though, my wedge will catch on his chassis, and he will be unable to do much to me, aside from spin up his wheels. If he tries going to my sides, his eight wheels and slower speed will cost him here, and I should in fact be able to get to his sides instead, giving me a fantastic opportunity there for some more slamming action. My plan for this match is all-out, balls-to-the-wall aggression, let the God of Wedge determine whom is indeed lower than whom, and play the match from there. If I'm lower, slam him into the walls like a Liverpudlian teenager who's been handed the keys to a clapped-out Subaru. If he's lower, then my wedge will hit his chassis and prevent him getting any further underneath me. If I'm offered a shot at the sides, grab it with both hands, the mouth and possibly a foot. Stay all over him like spaghetti on an infant, and don't let him rest up for a second. Good luck, Kody, and may the best bot win. =) |
