Dear god, this is a MUST win for Solar Smash. If I fail here, all is lost for the oldest active bot in CFL! Be gentle to the CFRC vets!

Pros:
-His front flat armor is perfect for my striking him with the ram. I've never had this kind of luck so far with my opponents this season, so I'm hoping this a gift from the CFL gods.
-He's got limited armor (5). My pneumatic ram has a higher weapon power so good hits will result in good damage. I don't necessarily expect a KO, but if I play it smart, I'll be the victor in terms of causing damage.
-His weapon is only 8. Solar Smash doesn't have the best armor, but in this case, I'm not too concerned with getting too badly damaged (especially if I can avoid contact with his disc much of the time).

Cons:
-He's got 5 torque to my 1. This looks bad, but as I've said in previous RPs (whether it comes across as plausible or rubbish), my weapon power will act as some form of "torque". Basically, when I'm striking him with the ram spike, he'll logically get pushed backwards due to the impact. Plus, if I wedge under him, I can avoid him pushing me as well. So hopefully, this won't matter.

I will start off the match by box rushing him and making sure we meet head-on. Assuming he doesn't turn his chassis trying to maneuver around me and we're still face-to-face, I'll fire my ram when I'm roughly 1-2 feet from the tip of his disc. If I time it right, I'll be able to nail his flat front armor with my pneumatic spike before he can strike me with the disc.

If I notice he's turning away or manuevering around me when I'm box rushing him, either turn in the direction he's moving to or stop and re-try a long charge right into his bot. After everytime I strike him with the ram, immediately back up stay away from him while my ram is re-loading. I can definitely keep my distance from him during this state of vulnerability since I'm faster. When I've fully re-loaded, charge him again utilizing the same strategy.

Also, if his disc is ever temporarily slowed down, I'll take that opportunity to charge him with the wedge, scoop him up, push him to the wall and/or hazards while simultaneously firing the ram. If I manage this often enough during the match, I'll earn a lot of both damage and aggression points. I'll also take him to one of the hazards if nearby. I'm not relying on the pushing game, but I could manage it at times.

If he ever does strike me with the disc, thankfully it'll be concentrated to my front wedges and/or static wedge forks. I seriously doubt he'll even be able to strike a vital area of my bot - like my sides, wheels, underbelly, etc.

Overall, do long charges into his flat front armor and fire the ram as I'm about to crash into him. Do this over and over again. Keep my distance from him while my ram is reloading. Avoid getting pushed and avoid contact with his disc as often as possible.

Good luck!

SPIN DASH UNLEASHED

ARMOUR: 5

No, seriously. Is it too late for Spin Dash to go back into hibernation? I've got his box of straw ready and everything.

Sigh.

The good news is I can damage him. Solar Smash's armour is pretty tough, especially the plough at the back, but my saw has just enough power to buckle those side plates and front prongs and make it that bit easier for me to get underneath. All I need are a couple of solid shots and I can go for those six juicy tyres. Yum-yum.

Tactics are same as always ('cos they've worked so brilliantly so far :P) - aim for anywhere bar the heavily-armoured rear, hack away at the armour and create enough room for the saw to slide under and chew up the wheels till they stop moving. Solar Smash is speedy, but so is my circular saw. Saws are a lot quicker at reaching high velocity than great heavy flywheels and with my 8 Weapon Power to his 7 Speed, I wonder if I'll be able to reach my top RPM before he can catch me. I've no idea, but fingers crossed.

Even if Solar Smash does manage to keep stopping my saw, I still have the far superior pushing power, so any head-on collision should be in my favour, even with the great big spike. It can cause me damage, but only a couple points' worth, so it should take several strong blows to land any critical damage. In the event the saw is damaged or Solar Smash keeps preventing it from revving up, just aim for the sides or corners and shove it towards the nearest hazard - killsaws, pulverisers, it's all good. Repeat till dead.

Time to set the controls for the heart of the su-

Oh wait. This isn't The Wall's RP. Bugger.

Good luck, 51. :D
