I must say, Klarinette is one of the sexiest bots I've encountered in a long time, maybe since Tazbot. If I'm part of the Post-Season Awards committee, I'm nominating Klarinette for the Double Dose Award. That may just be because I had a crush on a few of the clarinet players in high school band. And of few of the flutists. And a sax player or two. And a french horn player. A trumpeteer or two. Heck, there were a couple hot percussion players in our band too. And the cheerleaders. What?! Don't judge me! We were all teenage boys at one point! Except maybe playzooki and GF93. I'm not sure. I can't really tell. I've been gone awhile and really haven't gotten to know some of the newer people, but they strike me as possibly being pre-teen. But I digress.

Looking at this fight, it looks like the only thing I really gotta worry about is his speed advantage and the possibility of being wedged once or twice.

Come out mid-arena and try to keep the flipper facing him at all times. A 1.4x speed advantage is sketchy at best for flanking one's opponent. He'd to catch another break in the process to pull that off, and with an alike 4WD drive set-up and a marginal difference between speed and traction for him, he'll have to make his breaks rather than count on catching them. So I should be able to keep the flipper pointed at him most of the time.

We're not going to break each other. His armor matches my weapon, so the crashes will cause minor dings at best. and he's more likely to bend his hammer arm on my better armor, so his hammers are vestigial against me other than for show. But that's what this fight is going to have to come down to: who puts on a better show. For that, I'm going to have to keep the flipper facing him, getting under him and flipping him often. If I can push him to the Killsaws or Pulverizers, that's good too, but I won't rely on that. I'm a flipper. Keep flipping him. I should be able to get under him most of the time, too, as his wedge is static and seemingly designed more for spinner-killing than fighting a round flipper. Get under him as much as possible and flip, flip, flip. As Ry_Trapp0 would say, I would LOL @ his going ^^^.

The shape of wedge also allows minimal contact surface with a scooped opponent, so he should have difficulty controlling me in the event that he gets under me. Especially if I pop the flipper to jostle myself, which I will absolutely do. That should shake his grip on me.

So, keep close, keep flipper pointed at him, get under and flip often. Try to flip him toward the hazards, because it's good aggression and strategy to do so, in addition to whatever damage it can do.

Good luck, Lian.
There are few crimes in our modern society that merit public beating. Interrupting someone's enjoyment of Messiah to request "Jingle Bells" by the Singing Dogs is irrefutably one such offense.

We both have the same 4WD drive arrangement, so manoeuvrability should be the same for the both of us here. I have the torque advantage by 1 point. This factor should hopefully swing pushing matches my way. Since it has been established that electromagnets are banned, that should make it much easier for me to get underneath him. I'd mainly need to avoid that hugely powerful flipping arm, but it doesn't appear to be super wide, it only covers what seems to me a third of the front. I have the speed advantage by two points, which should definitely help me in getting to those weaker wedged sides of his, but I'll need to be careful of that flipper.

Game Plan

- From the start, I aim to exploit my higher speed to race out and get to his sides to try and scoop him up into the hazards. Chances are his wedge protection is weaker around the sides and back, so I'm gunning for there. Once I'm underneath, do my absolute best to dominate with my torque and power and shove him into the pulverizer area and let them beat down on him for the allotted time, all the while pinning him there and bringing my axes in for cosmetic damage. Once I have to back off, do so and ram straight back underneath to keep the pressure on him and keep taking him on trips to hazards. Killsaws, pulverizers, you name it. The works. If I can't seem to shovel him into the hazards, then shunt him into the nearest wall and pin him there for as long as I can and give him a couple of whacks with the battle mallets. If at some point I can get him into the drum, do so. If it flips him, then try and push him into the hammers. If he looks like he's about to self right, then position myself in the spot where he'll self right so he lands on top of me, then I'll ram him into the hazards. If I'm having trouble getting to the sides and have to attack the front, head close to the flipper and try to goad him into flipping. If he takes the bait, then quickly reverse out and drive back in. One of two scenario's can happen here

1) He pops up in the air a little bit, giving me time to get underneath him before the arm can come back down fully or...

2) With his weapon power being 8, he could end up throwing himself over. This gives me the chance to get underneath him and shovel him into the hazards, whether he be upright or not.

- In terms of defensive measure for this match, I'll wanna keep my front facing him at all times. Try not to let him get too many flips in and avoid the hazards as much as possible. Keep it central when playing defence.

So there you have it, good luck Philip, should be a good match.
