Mimete vs. Freezerburn; Death warmed up...

Okay, I'll spare the Death Busters jokes this time. Anyway, scoop set-up. This is gonna be a big match...

- Okay, let's compare stats. Points I have over him: 2 in speed, 4 in traction, 2 in torque, and 1 in armour. He has more in weapon then, obviously.

- Now, not only is his 6-3 speed-traction disparity going to make him lose control a fair amount, but check this out:

B - The higher your traction stat, the more acceleration you gain and the less time it takes to achieve your maximum speed.
This means that Freezerburn will take a while to achieve even 6 speed, while Mimete has 7 traction to help her achieve her 8 speed that much quicker. I can be all over him this match.

- The scoop covers a pretty wide area, and is armour 9. Freezerburn has 3 points of weapon over it, same as The "No" Patrol, who Mimete defeated last week. Now, Freezerburn has slightly more speed than Badnik's spinner, but I was able to catch up with No Patrol a hell of a lot, so I don't see why I couldn't do the same to Freezerburn. And Freezerburn's attacks will be less co-ordinated than No Patrol's. Regardless, he hits the flat part of the scoop and he won't get the greatest of hits, due to the angle. It'd slide up the scoop and the other end of the spinners would hit the floor, sending Freezerburn away and stunning him.

- I am extremely dubious of Freezerburn's self-righting capabilities. NFX says it can self-right, but I would like to disprove this by stating that the bars are so long and, angled downward as they are, are just going to push him back onto the flag, and he'll just keeping bouncing onto it. Even so, note the amount of times spinners like Megabyte and Tornado Mer have failed to self-right, with similar srimech poles. If Mimete flips Freezerburn, he should get KOed.

- Freezerburn is 4WD, and has static wedges all around. Mimete can get under him from any angle because of Freezerburn's clearance.


So tactics, right?

- BOX RUSH. I am not for a second going to give him room to breathe. My great speed and acceleration, combined with both his poorer ones and gyroscopic forces from the spinner, should allow me to hit him before he can sneak away. And if he does manage to move out of the square first, I can simply angle into him. I want to hit him with the front of the scoop; it will be hard for him to hit the side of the plow or make effective jukes/dodges with his inferior control and speed, and I can collect him onto the scoop and send him wherever I like. Plus the sides of the scoop are angled themselves so Freezerburn won't even get an effective hit much there. Obviously I want to keep my eyes on where the hazards are and make sure he can't use them for cover or baiting, and simply throw him around the box.

- If I get him against a wall, only then will I attempt to flip him since there is no chance he can get away. Plus, if I lift him up even a bit, it would appear to lift all his wheels off the ground and he wouldn't be able to get away.

- If I'm near the drum, slam him against it, thereupon flipping him over. Put his underside against the wall just for good measure.

- I primarily want to make sure he eats pulverizer during this fight. Not only is the srimech pole vulnerable, but there are visible parts exposed from the top panel, and a solid hit or two would knock something out of place.


tl;dr - I've got huge drivetrain advantages and a good-sized scoop, so be an aggressive bitch. Don't give him any room and make sure he eats hammer, or drum if it's closer. Go for the flip if I've got him against the wall, and avoid killsaws.

So he's going with the scoop for this one. Let's see what we have:

+ His wheels are quite near the center of his machine, and there's a fair amount of weight in the arms, as well as that scoop, so balance could be an issue for him. Four wheels and a square stance should mean I have a reasonable amount of control over my machine, as well as remaining more stable.

+ I have 12 Weapon against his 7 chassis Armour, so if I can get to that, I'll be causing a good deal of damage to him. I still have three points over the armour of his scoop, so repeated shots would see the damage racking up on it throughout the match.

+ With only 3 Weapon, his lifter is going to be quite slow, and its smooth shape means I should be able to simply drive away. Plus, with the lip at the top, he's clearly not invertible, so if he's overturned I can get an attack on his softer chassis.

> Keep my distance to begin with, and try to get my weapon up to speed. If Jesus Built My Hotrod couldn't catch Zadkiel before its weapon was up to speed, then it is impossible for Mimete to catch Freezerburn before my weapon is up to speed. Therefore, when he does catch me, my weapon will be going at full power. On closer inspection of the scoop, it appears that it's extremely thin, looking at the upper lip. Plus, with only the four small thwacking teeth being removed to make up the weight, it must be very thin given its area, can't be particularly sturdy compared to the regular lifter. He can't avoid my weapon, so it'll probably be blade-to-scoop. When that happens, my blade could knock me away and give me a chance to get it back up to speed. It shouldn't take as long as the first time, since it won't have stopped completely. If it doesn't, and I just ride up the scoop, then I'll want to try heading further up so I can strike the top lip. That will definitely knock me away, and probably cause a good deal of damage. Once we've been separated, I can get my weapon back up to speed and repeat the procedure.

> Stay away from the walls, stay away from the hazards, and don't get flipped. Keep myself moving, keep my weapon spinning, and keep my distance when it's not at full speed. He cannot attack me without encountering my weapon, so he's guaranteed to get hit. Sarge's lowering-the-weapon-onto-the-spinner tactics didn't work, so it shouldn't work if Mimete tries it. If I keep moving, and keep myself away from the walls, then he won't be able to pin me anywhere and slow my weapon down, or turn me over. If I am overturned, then I'm hoping I'll be able to self-right with my flag. If he does manage to get the scoop beneath me, then its smooth shape should allow me to escape relatively easily. But if not, then try and push myself away with my bar. If I can, then try to knock him into the drum to turn him over, then follow up with an attack on his chassis. Also go for an attack on his chassis should his scoop be raised.

> Keep my distance, get the weapon up to speed, hit him, escape, repeat. His scoop seems relatively thin, and very smooth indeed, so I should be able to damage it well, or drive away well if he gets beneath me. Stay away from walls and hazards, plus don't get overturned. If I am, then my flag should right me, hopefully. I should be able to take Damage, and hopefully Strategy enough for a JD to go my way.
