RIGHT THOUGHTS RIGHT WORDS RIGHT ACTIVATE!
SPEED: 6
WEAPON: 7
TORQUE: 4
TRACTION: 5
ARMOUR: 6

Red Zone, Act 1.

An interesting match-up here. Red Zone has slight advantages in Speed and Traction, I have the more powerful weapon and we both share the same amount of Torque. His greater wheels may give him extra push and grip, but my fewer wheels should edge my manoeuvrability. What a pickle!

Red Zone may be invertible, but I have a strong feeling the scoop and the lifting forks won't prove very effective if it's flipped upside-down, certainly not if the render is anything to go by. The plan then is to aim for the sides of Red Zone and throw it onto its back. The body has several pointy corners and no skirts, so it shouldn't be too hard to get underneath. As I attempted to articulate earlier, our wheel arrangements and stat set-ups should make us roughly equal in terms of trying to outmanoeuvre each other.

Once inverted, I'll start playing passive and attempt feeding it to the pulverizers to finish off. Red Zone is very well armoured, but even the toughest nut's got to crack after seventy-two hammer blows in a row. If nothing else, it'll help me scrape through a judges decision.

Obviously, I want to avoid the prongs too. Getting snagged by the lifting spikes won't be fun for me, but at least they won't do too much damage and with only 2 points of power, I'm reasonably certain I can wriggle away quickly enough before getting caught. If I do end up snagged, fire the flipper once or twice to shake myself loose and run away for a fresh attack.

Good luck to Team Gemini. Just remember the red zone is for loading and unloading only. ;)

I've got the drive advantage, so I'll definitely capitalize on that in this match. Better speed:traction ratio will mean I have better control overall, and can therefore avoid fewer driving errors hopefully. Even though he has a well-powered flipper on him, his flipper doesn't extend to tip of his wedge. Instead it's tucked into wedge. This means he'll have a harder time getting more area under me with the flipper to execute a powerful, successful flip. Most flippers have their lips extend out past their chassis to avoid this, but this might be problematic for him...

When I come out, I will veer ever so cautiously to his sides. With superior drive, I definitely have a shot, BUT if it looks like I'm having difficulty getting to his sides, I'll just try to get him from the corner of his front wedge. Regardless of how I get under him, I'll drive him straight into the wall while propping him up with my lifter when I do. I want to slam him all over the arena. My lifter isn't very powerful, but when combined with slamming him around, I have a decent chance to flip him.

When I do have him inverted, he'll need to re-right himself before he can move - this gives me a few seconds to get back at him and charge him as he's trying to self-right. By the time he's back on his wheels, I'll probably be under him again, ready to slam him some more. As far as hazards go, I'll try to drive him over the saws or into the drums as much as possible. I'm not trying to be precise, just toss him around and taking him to the saws or drum requires less finesse.

If I notice he's getting under me with his wedge, I'll immediately drive backwards and use my superior speed to get off his wedge. Since I need to be well under his wedge before he can get the coverage to flip me, I think I can escape a flip by doing this.

If he flips me, however, I'm fully inverted and probably about 98% as effective right-side up (my wedges will be angled slightly differently). I'll waste no time and come at him again. Keep using the lifter all match long to lift him, slam him and carry him to the hazards.

Good luck!
