-Freezerburn is no slug, but its control leaves a lot to be desired. I'll start out with the lifter facing him since it's actually the strongest armored part of my bot. I'll have it raised just a bit over perfectly straight (basically just enough to be a bit higher than his weapon) and then drive at him.

-The initial idea will be to bring the lifter down on top of his weapon and push it down and throw him completely off balance. With the way his weapon bar is flat then slopes down I shouldn't really be at as high of a risk of damage as I would if the weapon just hit me as normal.

-If this works reasonably well then he should go bouncing away rather significantly (3 traction remember) and I'll try and see if I can swoop in on him before he can get the weapon going at full speed again. If I can, slide the lifter under him and then lift him up and then work on getting him flipped over. If I can manage it with just my lifter alone, then great. More likely though I'll need help from the wedge or the drum. If I've got reasonably good control over him then drive him over to the drum. If it's a bit shaky control wise, then just slam him into the wall. Either way try to flip him over.

-If I can flip him over he's pretty much dead in the water. His wide weapon and lackluster self-righting pole make it highly unlikely he could flip himself back over. Still, keep a close watch on him in case he does manage it and be ready to get under him again and flip him over again.

-If my "lifter pressing down" tactic looks like it just won't work, then switch over to the plow and charge in and aim against his direction of rotation (ostensibly also nullifying an attempt to attack at my corners/side) and try to ram him and stop his weapon that way. Then switch over to the lifter and go to work trying to flip him over.

-Defensively make sure he never sees anything except either my direct front or my plow. Do not let him lure me over to the hazards. If he tries, just wait him out and then get back on the offensive. Otherwise stay very aggressive and try to keep the fight near the walls.

Good Luck!

I should go 3-1 this week but it'll probably be something like 0-4 or 0-5.

It sucks going 0-5. You lose all 4 of your bot fights for the week and you also lose at life.

+ We're both four wheel drive machines, and Sarge only has a single point of Speed over me. He definitely won't be running rings around me during the match, and I doubt he'll be much more manouverable either.

+ He only has a wedge on one side of his machine, which is comparatively narrow, whereas I have wedging on all sides of my machine. My bar is also very low, so he's unlikely to get under me without encountering my weapon.

+ Speaking of my weapon, I have 12 Weapon to his 8 Armour, and he has no bonuses, not even to his plow. Over the course of the match, I should definitely be able to rack up some good damage to him.

> Keep my distance from him at the start, until my weapon is up to speed. I know he'll be trying to chase me down, but 7 Speed against 6 shouldn't be able to do that. Once my weapon's up to speed, then give him a good smack with it. If he approaches with the lifter, then I doubt he'll be able to slip it straight under me. Since it's so narrow, there's a good chance my bar will just smack it away, plus there are the gaps between the serrated teeth for me to catch onto as well. If he tries this repeatedly, then by fight's end, I reckon his teeth will be ruined, and his wedging capabilities will be all but lost. Should he approach with the plow, though, then hopefully I can get my bar past it and to the corners of his machine, where the wheels are. Jamming those up will tip the drivetrain stakes a good deal in my favour, benefiting me immensely. If not, then I'll still be causing damage by smashing up that rear plow of his. With a solid hit, we should get separated a fair amount, and that will allow me time to get my weapon back up to full speed. A spinning weapon doesn't stop dead when it collects an opponent, otherwise the opponent wouldn't move. From that separation, keep as much of it as I can until my weapon's going again, and repeat the process.

> Defensively, stay the hell away from the walls. I know he's going to want to pin me against the spike strips, for example, so my weapon can't spin, so do everything in my power not to allow that. Also avoid the hazards, as that's the only way I can suffer damage during the fight. Should be manage to get the lifter underneath me somehow, then drive straight up it. my weapon should catch on either the spikes on the lifter, or - even better - the protruding corners of his chassis, and I should be able to knock myself away whilst causing further damage. As mentioned before, though, he shouldn't be able to get under me while my bar's going, as my weapon will either catch the sides of his relatively narrow lifter, or the gaps between the teeth, knocking him away. If the weapon isn't going, though, then do everything I can to stay away from the lifter. Hopefully I can get it spin up in time to prevent him turning me over, but even if he does, I have my self-righting flag on top, so I should still be able to self-right. Plus it'll be trickier for him to control me if I'm jumping around the place on it. If he approaches with the plow while my bar's not spinning, then all that will happen is him riding up my wedges (he doesn't have an effective wedge at the back, if memory serves), and I imagine that won't go down too well with the judges.

> Keep my distance, get my weapon up to speed, hit him with it, repeat. Stay away from walls and hazards, and nearer the center of the arena. Don't allow him to slow my weapon down. I can self-right if I'm overturned, and kick his lifter away if he tries to get it underneath me. I should definitely take Damage, hopefully Strategy as well, enough for a JD to fall my way. Although a KO win over Sarge is still entirely possible here.

Good luck, Josh, and may the best bot win. =)
