-A classic spinner on spinner deathmatch. The main differences are that Tornendron is better in the control department while Spike packs a bigger punch (and has a 1 point armor advantage for what it's worth. -The ARC arena is pretty low-frills, so in spinner vs. spinner matches the hazards typically don't play too significant a role which is A-OK with me. In all honesty the gameplan is pretty simple: Get up to speed and go at him. In a fight between two ring spinners there really isn't anything to gain in a positional battle. -It's basically a ring on ring battle and as I said before, Spike's is more powerful so I should be doing more damage to him every time we collide. -The traction thing now... Yes he take less kickback from a hit than me (for whatever that's worth in a 14/16 weapon collision), but in all honesty I'm not looking at this as a really bad thing for me. The more space between us after a hit the better as it gives me more time to get spun up. Also I don't really need uber-precise control when I'm just throwing myself at another spinner and it doesn't matter where I'm hitting him. We also have equal speed so it's not like he can just hunt me down right away if I'm working on driving around. -The main thing will be to keep the fight generally in the middle of the arena, basically don't let him bully me into the walls or try to goad me over the killsaws. It's just a matter of spin up, attack, get back to spinning, attack again. Repeat until the fight is over or until I can score a KO. Good Luck! |

Ah, Spinner on Spinner. Always fun! Analysis Intriguing how we're pretty similar designs, yet with very subtle differences. Same speed and torque, his weapon spins a bit faster, and his armour's very slightly stronger. However, I have double his Traction and much bigger and stronger teeth, as opposed to those little spikes he has. Basically- I'll stay in place much better than he'll be able to, and I'll be much more in control in any case. I should be able to dictate where he'll go flying off to with my blows- that element of control could well be what wins this for me. Strategy I don't think there's a massive amount that needs to be said considering this is a Spinner-on-Spinner match. Move out and spin up quickly for the initial confrontation- it doesn't exactly matter where I hit him, but try and hit him so that he goes flying back towards things like walls and hazards. Use my superior control to follow up with each shot- if I can keep him herded near the Walls and perhaps hit him towards things like the Drum or Pulverisers for an additional chance at damage besides from the Ring, that'd be brilliant for swinging the points in my favour. Aggressive Defence will suit me well, here. It mostly comes down to keeping spun up as much as possible, spin on the spot in the direction my blades are going if he tries to sneak in from the sides or behind to increase my spinning speed (To knock him away), and above all, constantly keeping the pressure on and not letting him recover from my attacks. Avoid hazards if I'm not taking him to them, too. Basically, use his Low Traction and his own Kinetic Energy against him. I might not be able to hit him as hard, but my Traction allows me to get him from multiple angles and send him flying backwards. Keep up the attacks, knock him into danger, and don't give him any chances to get back onto his feet. Think of it a game of Snooker- Tornedron as the Cue, Spike as the Eight Ball to be potted. If it all goes to plan, I hope to 'Pot the Black' and KO him, or at least win on Damage and Strategy. Well, hoping that'll cover it- good luck Josh, this should be interesting.
