I find that the furhter south you move, the better the weather, and the happier the people. Also Pennsylvania won't sell liquor and beer in the same building, so imo the whole state should be burned to the ground. |

And as far as Kody's season record goes. Okay yeah it's pretty absurd and even he admits that but realistically the only bot of his that I think has had an unreasonable amount of success is Perseus. I can tell Kody flat out that I think Perseus is probably an average bot at best and Jinx would have been a much better MW hammerbot option for him. Realistically Perseus probably won about 2 or 3 fights that it should have lost, but I don't think I wrote some of those specific fights and I didn't analyze those RPs so I can only go by the eyeball test. Other than that, let's not pretend that there was a whole lot of top shelf competition in Crazy Bots. jameschaos was a no-show. Mystic and TBR had some designs with potential, but were still pretty rough around the edges (and CB was started in the middle of last year and they've both since come up with some much improved stuff). LW: Kite... There were quite a few spinners entered in LW and Kite had a very good amount of armor so there wasn't much a lot of them could do to it. Kite literally had a favorable match-up nearly every single week of the season. HW: Seras...Several people ended up entering dedicated rammers that were mostly set-up to kill spinners that didn't get entered so a bot like Seras could feasibly do well against a slate of mostly vanilla designs and technically Seras didn't even finish in first place in the weight class. SHW: IB... There isn't a single SHW that is anywhere close to fast and controlled enough to keep from getting wedge-raped by IB. MDU has/had a fair chance at killing it, but a hurdle for it is that it's hampered by the old self-KO rules (which was something that was properly corrected in the new rules). And let's not forget that RPing always plays a part in how successful you are. If you do well enough at that, you can get good success. I mean I was able to take a team that was comprised of Jack Frost and 3 also-rans and get all 4 into the playoffs and 3 of them into the finals in Robot Bastards. I would say that Robot Bastards had tougher competition overall so Kody entering a team that was top to bottom better than my Robot Bastards team overall and going against more favorable competition and I don't think Kody's season is completely illogical. I mean sure I don't want to see another season where Kody wins multiple championships, especially since that's happened a lot, but at the same time I wouldn't just write a loss for him just because I don't want him to win. If he deserves to win a certain fight then he deserves to win that fight. Were some of his wins questionable? Yeah probably, but virtually everybody has fights go their way that they didn't expect to win. |

Idk the thing about Kite getting favorable matches against spinners is weird to me. First of all, Kite has no torque, so it can't actually push any of the spinners it fights. Yes it has the flipper, but its a fairly average 5 strength flipper - if we're talking about a match where a spinner and kite are trading equal hits with flips, the spinner should probably win. Kite does have a lot of armor, but +3 or +4 (that is to say, 13 and 14 weapon power) should still do a good amount of damage over the course of the match, even under the old damage scale. Lastly the spinners are all going to basically be hitting the flipping arm directly - even though there's no 'corner damage' in this tournament, the fact is that hitting that corner means that Kite would spin around and make it difficult for Kite to get in a flip after getting hit. Seras, yeah. I mean it looks ugly as hell but its a rammer so what are you gonna do, it always has a chance to win I guess. Industrial Bastardization, isn't there such a thing as being too fast? Especially on a two-wheeled robot. I remember that Jesus Built My Hotrod had that same problem (or maybe Jesus got unfairly served with control issues). There is technically a limit to how fast something goes while you're still able to control it. But yeah I mean, apart from that it's a rammer so its going to have favorable stats and, like Seras, always has a chance to win. And Perseus, yeah. |

honestly half the matches I wrote that were Kody wins were decided by Lian. Had I actually decided them (especially Perseus vs Automaton, I have no clue how he came up with Perseus winning that) I may have gone the other way. |

Well let's talk about these LW spinners. Windmill is probably the only one that really would be difficult for Kite to exploit and not for nothing since Windmill is a former champion. Microwave cannot self right, one flip = dead. SNK I think Badnik went a bit overboard with the speed/traction ratio so it would be easier for Kite to chain flips on it and that itself could help him get him to the hazards of fucking death that the CB arena has. Spike = lol Josh made another dumb error with his weapon set-up but no one said anything about it until it was too late until it was too late to change it. The point was made made that the cone shaped spikes on the ring wouldn't be very efficient at hitting Kite's low, sloped back. Scatterbrain, well god bless Nick for entering a cool translational thwack even though they usually don't perform well. Zadkiel, meh it's a much more basic Windmill but it would be easier for Kite to bully around with it's boxier shape. As far as IB goes, yeah you could make the too much speed argument, but IB also had 10 for both speed AND traction. IIRC Jesus always had at least a -2 when it was that fast and that can make a difference. |

Glad to see I've caused controversy as usual. Let's take into account several things. Okay let's be real here. Kite does have minimal torque, but not "no" torque. And then again, so do a lot of the spinners. If Kite gets under them, well uh... It either cuts their torque in half (Windmill, Zadkiel, Spike, and other 4WD spinners) or removes their wheels off the ground completely (Scatterbrain). So Kite can push them. Not fast at all, sure, but enough to push them. Can they get away? Maybe. But Kite is faster than the spinners so it's not like it's the easiest thing in the world for them. Kite would likely win Aggression each battle since all he has to do really is ram into the spinner. Can the damage done by the spinner offset that Aggression? Maybe. But it hasn't shown. Don't blame me, blame the writers. And realistically I think The Windmill would have the greatest chance out of any of the spinners to defeat him, and I was very surprised Kite actually did beat him. In a rematch I think Windmill would win. The other spinners? Not so much. But then if I wrote the entire tournament I would have The Windmill win LW. ![]() Seras is a gamble, basically a revisioning of Killobite that Alex V kindly rendered for me, and it paid off. Again, there are bots that can beat her and I wouldn't have her as a champ. I can't speak about the Dreadnought match, but I feel every match so far has been fair for her. I'll admit I was quite surprised at the win over Thunder Ball, but it wasn't out of possibility. Industrial Bastardization... yeah. I purposely made him that fast for a reason, but I also gave him equal traction too. I understand that human reflexes do come into play as well, but if you have equal speed and traction, and the speed isn't too unreasonable (I don't think 10 is unreasonable, but that's me ) it shouldn't be a problem. The real problem IB would have is his lower torque, so many rammers would find it easier to push him around. Barring MDU though, I don't think any win has been too surprising. Maybe Phantasmic Slammer, who has wedges everywhere. ![]() Now, the big issue that I personally have. Perseus... Perseus I entered for a laugh. I thought the design was okay enough, and Jinx wasn't turning out the way I wanted. I apologize to Josh but I really do feel that this version of Perseus was superior to any version of Jinx I'd put out thus far, that's why I entered him. I did not expect him to do this well. His win over Clown Breath was a fucking joke, and was only, ONLY credible due to Lian's overkill hazard arena. It flipped Clown Breath, which is realistically the only way Perseus would have won. Automaton I also disagree with, but I thought I had a (LOW) chance of winning so I RP'd. If I RP, I think I have a chance of winning. And seeing as I RP pretty much all the time, well yeah. But obviously Lian thought I would win, and so he made the decision. I am not answerable for him, but hey, I'll take the win. Who honestly bitches about getting a win? ![]() Marauder too. I mean yeah, I thought axing the shit out of his lifter might make it ineffective in getting under me. NFX agreed with that part of my RP I guess. Fine. Whatever. I didn't think it would work but I put it in. I have mixed feelings about the result, yeah, but fine. I assure you Perseus' Cinderella season will become a joke once he falls at the semis. He has to fight either Automaton, Immolator, and Marauder. I beat Immolator, okay, and tbh I do agree with that result, but seeing as Immolator lost to Marauder last time, I wouldn't hold my breath. But really, if everyone is getting so butthurt over people writing me wins that I have no control over, I'm totally fine with dropping out for a few seasons and letting the shit slide. Fuck. |

Immolator can ski through three revolving doors. Backwards. It's because of its shitty traction and was probably dumb luck, but it HAPPENED |
