Fuck Bitches Get Crystals

Wedges and Teeth ON + We're equally fast machines, and we both have two-wheel drive. However, given my two extra points of Traction, I should be able to control my machine and direct my attacks better than Stingray should be able to. + Torque is in my favour, so he shouldn't be able to push me around without first getting underneath me. And since Wedge is also in my favour, I should get underneath him more than he should me. I'm going with the silver wedges to help with getting under him as well. + We have the same base Armour stat, but thanks to his dubious 3-point bonus to his weapon bar thing, which really won't help him much here, the rest of his machine's Armour drops to a paltry 5. So he REALLY shouldn't be able to withstand as much punishment as he would like to, I can cause decent damage just by thwacking. > The biggest targets on his machine are definitely his large, weak and relatively exposed wheels, so they're what I'm going to zero in my attacks on. I have no idea what attachment he's going to use, which is an issue, but not one that affects my strategy too much. What I'm wanting to do is rush towards him, and then start thwacking when we're close, hopefully getting my tail against his side. This is a win-win situation for me - if I get underneath him, then I should be able to back up and get my tail underneath him, before swinging around to get the main wedge under, while staying beneath him. If I don't get the tail under him, then that's better, since I will get a direct hit on those wheels of his, and cause them damage, more than likely giving him issues with his mobility if I'm able to pull this off more than once. If thwacking isn't working very well, then I'll simply charge head-on at him, and hope that my wedge gets beneath his. If I get under him, to the hazards we shall go. If he gets under me, things are a bit more omplicated. There's no explanation as to how his forks work, but let's assume they work the same way ABR's do. Even with his fancy clutch system in place (which would then bring the bar's power down to 3), the only way to raise them is for him to reverse. With such a shallow angle, the smoothness of the forks, and the spring-loaded tips, there is every chance possible that Braveheart would simply slip off of them as he backs up, and with his forks raised, there is a fantastic opportunity for me to get myself underneath him from the front end, and then proceed to bully him around into the hazards. When I do get underneath him, my teeth should be able to keep him on the wedge, and not allow him to escape, especially not with our Speed being equal to one another. > When I do get beneath him, then take him directly to the hazards. Preferably the spinner bumpers, as they could take his wedging off, or even the tips of his forks, and that would tip the Wedge balance decidedly in my favour. Any way I'm able to get beneath him is more points in my pocket. The Pulverizers could just as easily knock him out with his comparativly poor 5 Armour everywhere but the bar, even more so if the Reel amplifies them. If the Hazards are amplified, then I will want to get him to them as quickly as I can. 5 Armour shouldn't be able to hold up to much punishment of that level. If he does start thwacking, then I'll want to see which direction he spins in. If he thwacks with the wedge end first, then I'll want to hang back and show mobility until he has to as well. If he thwacks with the opposite end, then I'll come straight in and get myself underneath it, taking the opportunity to hazardize him once again. One added advantage of the Casino Night Zone is that there are no hazards which are capable of overturning a machine, which plays more into my hands than his, as he won't be able to turn me over easily, if at all. If I should somehow find myself inverted, then I'll start thwacking him more than I was before. Head up to him, spin around, smack the tail into his wheel, escape, repeat. If I need to, then spin on the spot. I'll at least be showing Aggression if I don't get any hits in. Should he manage to get underneath me and start pushing, then I'll obviously be trying to back myself away and escape, perhaps escaping around his wedged wheelguards if I can. If he tries to lift, though, then I'll probably slip off as described earlier, and I will pretty much been given a free pass by Spatch. > Feint rush him, then thwack. Everything on his machine except the bar is only 5 Armour, so I should cause a decent amount of damage to him during the fight. If I have a chance to get underneath him, take it, and deliver him straight to either the Pulverizers or Spinner Bumpers, whichever is easier to get him to. His fork design does not lend itself to lifting me up effectively at all, and I can hold station while he thwacks pointlessly. Hopefully my Strategy opens up some good opportunities for causing Damage and showing Aggression, enough to either take a Judges' Decision, or just KO him. Good luck, Nick, and may the best bot win. =) |

I've never lived by anyone's rules but my own.

Hmm, evenly matched in speed but he has a one point edge in the wedge department. And the arena *helps* him if anything. This looks ugly. So… my plan is going to involve the arena somewhat. I will use the flipping attachment on the bar again, in the vain attempt to do something spectacular if I ever manage to get under him. If I can get several runs in on him, and successfully get under with one of them, perhaps I can fire the bar and flip him after that—after which his wedges become useless and I can just bully him around. We’ll conduct a 3-pronged attack: -Spin around and try for a hit on the sides with the back end of the bar. -Drive right in and try to get under with my main forks NOT FIRING THE WEAPON, don’t want him to just get under the bar and push me around like that. That would be bad. We’re just going to fire the weapon at point blank in an attempt to brush him away, if I can’t get under. -I want to try and lure him to the arena bumpers. If the flywheels on those can do some damage to the wedges, that might make my life a bit easier. I’m going to have to play slippery and dodge a lot of his advances. Try and get in on the sides. I really can’t risk getting pushed into the hazards myself. It will mean being somewhat passive and reactive to his advances rather than leaping into my own attacks. Still I want to find time to try attacking. I need to attack enough times to do something. I want to get in many approaches, and while I’m sure my front forks will go over more times than not (in which case back off immediately and regroup), if I can get them under once, eventually, then afterwards maybe I can show that my active weapons and my ability to attack and not just push can compensate for the lack of wedge points and net me some JD points in the long run. That's the long-term payoff-when I get under spectacular things can happen. He might get flipped! He might get flipped into the arena flywheels, or the hammers! When he gets under, he just pushes. Ultimately look for chances to flip. Also look for chances to get under his tail. Be opportunistic. Good Luck -N |
