His traction is going to be his downfall in this match. 3 Traction facing a spinner, with a weapon power of 13? I know he has great armor, but he's barely going to mount an assault. My traction is about average if below average too, which is just going to make the situation worse for him. After each hit, we're both going to fly away from each other, with him going even further. Walkers already have a tough time keeping a grip on the floor, given the low surface area that the feet have, but this just exacerbates the situation for Manta. Land of Confusion will only make it worse for Manta, as he'll probably get pinballed into a flipper, or a conveyor belt, and before he can find traction with his feet again, he'll be flipped or dumped onto a flame pit. Meanwhile Hepheastus is an equal distance in the opposite direction, already getting his weapon back up to speed. Even with 11 armor, my weapon power is still higher so I'm still causing damage and I'm still impressing the judges. Manta getting tossed away isn't going to impress anyone.

As for his weapon, it actually requires me to be on his wedge. So for him to actually bring his weapon into play he has to get underneath me, but he will have immense trouble doing that because every time he tries to ram me and get his wedge into play, it's just going to get hit by my blade, and send him flying away far enough that by the time he gets back to me (his bad traction is going to make him take a while to accelerate) my spinner will already be back up to speed. Even when he is able to use it, I'm invertible so I can still bring my blade to bear afterwards. His only real hope his hitting my sides, but he's only one point faster than me, and is uncontrolled enough that he's not going to be able to take advantage of it.

He's just not going to be able to control me, or even really do damage to me considering the lack of damaging hazards in the Land of Confusion (the flippers are pretty high powered but the damage from that isn't obvious and I already have decent enough armor to stand being flipped anyway).

Why hello there 13 weapon. That would scare ordinary robots but Manta’s made of tougher stuff. Go right at him from the front; take him to the wall. Smash the hell out of that weapon until it stops. Just keep engaging aggressively. I have the speed advantage (at least on paper, not sure how it translates to the fights still, but he only has 5 speed so he’s not leaping around me or anything). I also have a very gradually tapered front that gives his disc nothing fun to grab onto. And because I’m heavier, he’ll find it hard to knock me anywhere. So the plan is to get under and show him what the wall tastes like. Once the weapon is stopped, then start flipping. Very large amounts of flipping after that, since he has only his spinning bar to protect him. Stay away from the conveyor belts and get away from the edges as soon as I’ve smashed him against the wall.

I just want to be the rock, in rock paper scissors, for this one. Bully him, flip him, smash those scissors. Stay under as much as possible, and stay close.
