WEEK 5

LW:

Scarab vs. Jupiter 2 F - (Lumina Cloth)

Jupiter’s armor may be a joke, but the possibility of him flipping Scarab out is quite serious. One way or the other this one should be a (T)KO.

Scarab-65%

Frequency vs. Mercenary - (Land of Confusion)

Normally this arena would favor the spinner, but given the dubious self-righting ability of Frequency and the availability of floor flippers Merc could have a solid chance here.

Mercenary-60%

Old Soul vs. Hit 'em Hardest - (ARC Arena)

I think this one would belong to HeH if Lewis showed up…

Hit ‘em Hardest-80%

Fatality vs. Mobile Failure - (Casino Night Zone)

Oh the destruction! Fatality will be a literal pinball in this arena which is very much not a good thing.

Mobile Failure-70%

Spike vs. Smoke and Mirrors - (Lumina Cloth)

A spinnver vs. a rammer on Cloth is bad news. A spinner vs. TWO rammers on Cloth is a complete nightmare!

Smoke and Mirrors-75%

Poison vs. Mr. Not Very Nice LW - (Land of Confusion)

Not a nice day to be Poison.

Mr. Not Very Nice LW-80%

Tornendron vs. Recovered - (ARC Arena)

With a fairly neutral arena, I’m feeling like this one could go to the spinner.

Tornendron-70%

Vipoz vs. Dr. Pepperdine - (Casino Night Zone)

Not seeing much good for Lime-y Jr. here.

Dr. Pepperdine-85%

Annoying Box Rush vs. Don't Tread On Me - (Lumina Cloth)

This is ABR’s fight. No two ways of looking at it.

ABR-90%

MW:

Jupiter 2 H vs. Solve et Coagula - (Land of Confusion)

Well this is kind of interesting. Jupiter would be in good shape if it had a more powerful weapon. A winning streak for SeC? It’s more likely than you think.

Solve et Coagula-75%

Lyra vs. March or Die - (ARC Arena)

I think the flipper will be more of a game-changer in this match than the poker.

March or Die-65%

The Green Hornet vs. Fidchell - (Casino Night Zone)

I get a kind of Son of Wyachi vs. Nightmare vibe here, but I don’t like to rely on real-life comparisons. Besides Fidchell is cooler than Nightmare.

The Green Hornet-70%

Merry Hampton BR vs. V For Vendetta - (Lumina Cloth)

Strictly speaking, Merry Hampton is better designed for pushing things and that’s really the difference here.

Merry Hampton BR-80%

Illusion of Grandeur vs. Reaper - (Land of Confusion)

Illusion could get flipped a lot, but the spinner friendly arena should help him take this one.

Illusion of Grandeur-65%

Bad Wolf vs. Braveheart - (ARC Arena)

I’d feel more confident in Bad Wolf if it had a bit more powerful weapon. Still the wedge could help him out a lot… Eh this one is close.

Bad Wolf-55%

Stingray vs. The "No" Patrol - (Casino Night Zone)

YES! YES! YES! YES!...

Stingray-90%

Long Arm of the Law vs. Force Feedback - (Lumina Cloth)

A rather interesting sumo match. I’ll go with Feedback, I like his wedging ability more here.

Force Feedback-70%

Green Dragon vs. Lightning - (Land of Confusion)

The only brew for the brave and truuuuuuuuue… Comes from the Green Dragon!

Green Dragon-95%

HW:

Jupiter 2 V vs. S.O.T.A.R. - (ARC Arena)

Not even if Rob shows up for this one.

SOTAR-95%

NB2 vs. Dead Ringer For Love - (Casino Night Zone)

NB2 could take if he can get Dead Ringer in the hazards a bunch. Trouble is I don’t see that happening much.

Dead Ringer for Love-75%

Anarchy vs. V'Ger - (Lumina Cloth)

A rather interesting spinner on spinner match for Cloth. I think V’Ger’s design benefits him more here though.

V’Ger-75%

Klarinette vs. Grave Robber - (Land of Confusion)

A MUCH better arena for Grave Robber here. Klarinette is tough, but he’s limited in what he can do in this fight.

Grave Robber-65%

Snijmachine vs. Final Judgement - (ARC Arena)

DUTCHout is on a tear, and while it may be hard to tear Final Judgement I think he’ll continue his streak.

Snijmachine-65%

Cutie Honey vs. Scoop - (Casino Night Zone)

There’s some decent potential for Scoop here all things considered. Lots of hazards to exploit CH’s low armor, but there’s that speed to consider…

Cutie Honey-55%

Vertigo vs. Ridley - (Lumina Cloth)

The arena is very worrying for a bot like Ridley, but he does have enough speed to keep Vertigo at bay for awhile.

Ridley-55%

The Dark Side of Cupid vs. Mr. Death - (Land of Confusion)

Straight-up Cupid on this one. Not much for Mr. Death to do with Cupid when he wedges him.

Dark Side of Cupid-80%

Kraze vs. Master of Puppets - (ARC Arena)

Master of Puppets could go full on Tazz mode here, finishing off with a Tazz-mission. (yay wrestling references).

Master of Puppets-65%

SHW:

Lime-y vs. Phantasmic Slammer - (Casino Night Zone)

You know, this one is pretty hard to call. I’m leaning towards Slammer though.

Phantasmic Slammer-60%

Peppenut vs. Manta - (Lumina Cloth)

Dang. I’m thinking Peppernut, but I’m not very confident one way or the other.

Peppernut-55%

Teresa vs. Ultima - (Land of Confusion)

Teresa could actually exploit the bottom armor! Nya nya… Ya like that Alex???

Teresa-80%

Lethal Injection vs. Steak - (ARC Arena)

This weeks deadly poison of choice: Marinade!

Lethal Injection-95%

Element of Chaos vs. Inflammatory Slammer - (Casino Night Zone)

Oh where are you Lewis? This one is all yours!

Inflammatory Slammer-95%

Curse of the Deep vs. Hephaestus - (Lumina Cloth)

This a pretty amusing fight.

Hephaestus-85%

Jack Frost vs. Reaver - (Land of Confusion)

Favorable spinner arena + kind of frail lifting apparatus usually equals a good outcome for the spinner.

Jack Frost-70%

Reflector Shield vs. Spaulding - (ARC Arena)

By Grabthar’s hammer… What a beating.

Reflector Shield-95%

Jupiter 2 P vs. Corrupted Politician - (Casino Night Zone)

It’s all about CP in this match.

Corrupted Politician-90%
Area51Escapee,Jan 30 2011
01:27 AM
Spatula,Jan 29 2011

I should go 3-1 this week but it'll probably be something like 0-4 or 0-5.

It sucks going 0-5. You lose all 4 of your bot fights for the week and you also lose at life.

WEEK 6

LW:

Scarab vs. Frequency - (Casino Night Zone)

Reaching back into my memory, this one will probably be like JOLT vs. Predator. Too bad for Kody.

Frequency-75%

Fatality vs. Jupiter 2 F - (Lumina Cloth)

Can Fatality avoid pinballing off into the wild blue yonder? Or can he kill Jupiter even before being flipped and left for dead? Eh, maybe.

Jupiter-55%

Spike vs. Mercenary - (Land of Confusion)

Merc is a good design, but the arena is against him here. But don’t short-change Chris or he’ll make you pay.

Spike- 65%

Poison vs. Old Soul - (ARC Arena)

This one’s for the birds.

Old Soul-55%

Tornedron vs. Hit 'em Hardest - (Casino Night Zone)

If HeH can tank the hits well enough, there’s an opportunity to exploit hazards here, but that might be asking a lot.

Tornendron-70%

Vipoz vs. Mobile Failure - (Lumina Cloth)

Doubtless Tracy knows how to deal with a Lime-y knockoff.

Mobile Failure-80%

Annoying Box Rush vs. Smoke and Mirrors - (Land of Confusion)

ABR meets his two miniature clones, but I’ll go with the original here.

Annoying Box Rush-70%

Dr. Pepperdine vs. Mr. Not Very Nice LW - (ARC Arena)

The thwacker probably won’t be able to get much done, so this one should belong to Dr. P.

Dr. Pepperdine-85%

Don't Tread On Me vs. Recovered - (Casino Night Zone)

Recovered has a better wedge, and Tread is too one-dimensional.

Recovered-75%

MW:

Long Arm of the Law vs. Lightning - (Lumina Cloth)

There’s no way Long Arm won’t be able to outwedge and punch Lightning off the edge.

Long Arm of the Law-90%

Fidchell vs. Reaper - (Land of Confusion)

Count on Fidchell quickly rebounding from that loss last week, but it could get flipper over…

Fidchell-70%

V For Vendetta vs. March or Die - (ARC Arena)

A tough one to call. It comes down to who can utilize their weapon better. I’ll go with March here.

March or Die-60%

The Green Hornet vs. Bad Wolf - (Casino Night Zone)

The arena is definitely the wildcard here. Hornet can put a hurt on Bad Wolf, but Wolf does have the backup wedges.

The Green Hornet-60%

The "No" Patrol vs. Lyra - (Lumina Cloth)

Not seeing an end to No Patrol’s woes here.

Lyra-90%

Illusion of Grandeur vs. Solve et Coagula - (Land of Confusion)

Sure, Kody. Go back to giving SeC effort because SpatNick pokes fun at it and not because I’ve been telling you not to give up on it. Ehhh, Illusion is probably the favorite though.

Illusion of Grandeur-65%

Merry Hampton BR vs. Jupiter 2 H - (ARC Arena)

It won’t be a merry day for Jupiter, that’s for damn sure.

Merry Hampton-95%

Force Feedback vs. Stingray - (Casino Night Zone)

Oh dear lord… ehhhh…. Feedback?

Force Feedback-55%

Green Dragon vs. Braveheart - (Lumina Cloth)

Green Dragon’s ability to control his opponent better will likely be the difference maker here.

Green Dragon-70%

HW:

Jupiter 2 V vs. Anarchy - (Land of Confusion)

Anarchy reigns supreme!

Anarchy-95%

V'Ger vs. NB2 - (ARC Arena)

V’Ger should be a be able to handle the wedge bot here.

V’Ger-80%

Scoop vs. Ridley - (Casino Night Zone)

This is strikingly similar to Ridley’s fight against Master of Puppets, and we know how that turned out.

Ridley-80%

S.O.T.A.R. vs. Grave Robber - (Lumina Cloth)

All things considered I’m not seeing someone getting thrown out, but I am seen a KO likely.

SOTAR-85%

Dead Ringer For Love vs. Final Judgement - (Land of Confusion)

Another big test for Final Judgment’s cement wall of a plow. It just might come out on top this time.

Final Judgement-65%

Klarinette vs. Mr. Death - (ARC Arena)

The wedgebot to win. What not good enough? Okay the one that looks like a former competitor? Still no good? Fine, the one with the hammers.

Klarinette-75%

Snijmachine vs. Master of Puppets - (Casino Night Zone)

Not good for Master of Puppets. Not good at all.

Snijmachine- 90%

Cutie Honey vs. The Dark Side of Cupid - (Lumina Cloth)

Oh snap, shit will go down here. Call me crazy, but I think Cupid will take it.

Dark Side of Cupid-55%

Kraze vs. Vertigo - (Land of Confusion)

I think Kraze can sleep a bit easier this week. I’d like him in this battle of flippers.

Kraze-70%

SHW:

Teresa vs. Manta - (ARC Arena)

Well now, this will be a good test for Teresa, but I think it’ll keep rolling for another week.

Teresa-65%

Reaver vs. Corrupted Politician - (Casino Night Zone)

Reaver is happy to be away from the spinners and into a more cerebral fight I’m sure. Bank on Reaver here.

Reaver-80%

Hephaestus vs. Spaulding - (Lumina Cloth)

Heph all the way man.

Hephaestus-95%

Jupiter 2 P vs. Inflammatory Slammer - (Land of Confusion)

Poor Slammer would own this fight.

Inflammatory Slammer-95%

Steak vs. Reflector Shield - (ARC Arena)

Another completely lopsided fight in SHW.

Reflector Shield-95%

Jack Frost vs. Lime-y - (Casino Night Zone)

There’s potential for Lime-y to have some fun here, but that Disc is no laughing matter.

Jack Frost-65%

Phantasmic Slammer vs. Curse of the Deep - (Lumina Cloth)

Well this couldn’t be set up any better for the other Slammer

Phantasmic Slammer-95%

Ultima vs. Element of Chaos - (Land of Confusion)

Even if Chaos could attack a non-bonus part of Ultima, it still couldn’t do much. Think about that for a minute…

Ultima-95%

Peppernut vs. Lethal Injection - (ARC Arena)

And this will be a hell of a fight. I’ll say LI has a small advantage.

Lethal Injection-55%

Excellent. Three out of four's not bad at all, so let's hope I can pull that off, and...not die again against Snijmachine. That'd be good, too.

WEEK 6

Lightweights

Scarab vs. Frequency

Scarab has the more powerful weapon, Frequency has better armour. Personally I'm convinced Frequency is going to die if it gets flipped (partially due to its own weapon being unable to kick itself back over after being wrecked by Scarab's drum). They have the exact same drivetrain so it's going to be hella close, whatever the outcome is.

Scarab = 51%

Fatality vs. Jupiter 2 F

Jupiter's match.

Jupiter 2 F = 75%

Spike vs. Mercenary

Mercenary's fucked...

Spike = 90%

Poison vs. Old Soul

Poison has pretty bad armour but Old Soul doesn't have the most threatening weapon.

Poison = 60%

Tornedron vs. Hit 'em Hardest

Those steep wedges won't do HeH any favours. Tornedron to keep the streak alive.

Tornedron = 95%

Vipoz vs. Mobile Failure

I dunno, I see Vipoz depositing Mobile Failure out of the arena quickly...

Vipoz = 80%

Annoying Box Rush vs. Smoke and Mirrors

It's time Badnik faced the Mack Daddy of wedges.

Annoying Box Rush = 90%

Dr. Pepperdine vs. Mr. Not Very Nice LW

Good luck.

Dr. Pepperdine = 95%

Don't Tread On Me vs. Recovered

There's a problem that each robot faces here. Don't Tread On Me can't control Recovered AT ALL, since Recovered's axlebot nature can just have him drive over DToM at any opportunity. But then Recovered's thwack will be utterly useless because DToM's sides are pretty angled. I don't think Recovered thwack will be required, though.

Recovered = 75%

Middleweights

Long Arm of the Law vs. Lightning

Mr. AS has this in spades.

Long Arm of the Law = 75%

Fidchell vs. Reaper

Yeah, I don't think helloface is going to come out smelling like roses here.

Fidchell = 95%

V For Vendetta vs. March or Die

Even if Lewis RP'd, there's not much he can do here. Wow playzooki is getting much better.

March or Die = 75%

The Green Hornet vs. Bad Wolf

Oooh... Bad Wolf is in trouble if he gets hit, but then the hazards could be BIG problems for Green Hornet here.

The Green Hornet = 55%

The "No" Patrol vs. Lyra

Put the ponybot through...

Lyra = 85%

Illusion of Grandeur vs. Solve et Coagula

I would have written SeC off immediately, but he does stand a fair chance since IoG is easily stackable. Still IoG has the advantage.

Illusion of Grandeur = 60%

Merry Hampton BR vs. Jupiter 2 H

Will trains ever make it into outer space?

Merry Hampton BR = 95%

Force Feedback vs. Stingray

Can both of these robots just drop dead please. Personally I see nothing they can do to each other. Or... maybe, just MAYBE Force Feedback could exploit Stingray's worse body armour. Too tough to accurately call.

Force Feedback = 51%

Green Dragon vs. Braveheart

Holy fucking shit. Braveheart keeps getting the tough draws. And against something that can easily drop him out of the ring, it's not looking favourable for him at all. I have to feel for the current MW champ :( (of Ruination, anyway)

Green Dragon = 75%

Heavyweights

Jupiter 2 V vs. Anarchy

Eww. Look for Jupiter's guts to be splattered.

Anarchy = 95%

V'Ger vs. NB2

Naaaw... V'Ger should take this. NB2 has decent armour but there's little he can do to V'Ger in return.

V'Ger = 80%

Scoop vs. Ridley

Aha... ahahahahaha... uh, no.

Ridley = 95%

S.O.T.A.R. vs. Grave Robber

Exact stats, different spinner design. And one match where that thin axle will hurt Grave Robber badly.

S.O.T.A.R. = 85%

Dead Ringer For Love vs. Final Judgement

Ugh. I want to give this one to Final Judgement but he gets fucked in the Land of Confusion arena. His best hope is to exploit his higher speed and just keep sending Dead Ringer onto the flippers.

Dead Ringer For Love = 80%

Klarinette vs. Mr. Death

"Everything... For his sake... I will dedicate everything... My victory is his victory!! For that reason I must become strong."

Klarinette = 85%

Snijmachine vs. Master of Puppets

Snijder ftw!

Snijmachine = 85%

Cutie Honey vs. The Dark Side of Cupid

I'm completely amazed at Josh's prediction, for I don't see Cupid lasting very long on this arena against a bot of this fast bricky-ness. (before I remembered the arena, I actually did think it was going to be a tough match...)

Cutie Honey = 80%

Kraze vs. Vertigo

It's ARC Armageddon all over again! Or it would be if Lewis RP'd... regardless Kraze has this.

Kraze = 60%

Superheavyweights

Teresa vs. Manta

Spatula tried to point out a few flaws about his own bot... I'm on to you, trickster. :D Anyway this'll be a very fun match, but I think Teresa's awesome streak will get snapped.

Manta = 60%

Reaver vs. Corrupted Politician

If playzooki RPs well, he might take this. But all it takes is one flip and I don't see CP surviving very long after that.

Reaver = 70%

Hephaestus vs. Spaulding

Alex can you push Spaulding out after you're done destroying it?

Hephaestus = 95%

Jupiter 2 P vs. Inflammatory Slammer

Slammer's match, easily. Even the Coin Toss is looking that way!!!

Inflammatory Slammer = 95%

Steak vs. Reflector Shield

Once again, Reflector Shield's opponent is laughable.

Reflector Shield = 100% (lock)

Jack Frost vs. Lime-y

Personally I don't see anything Lime-y can really do, so I'll go more in favour of Josh than Josh's own prediction. :D

Jack Frost = 90%

Phantasmic Slammer vs. Curse of the Deep

...have you ever seen a match so lopsided it wasn't even funny?

Phantasmic Slammer = 100% (lock)

Ultima vs. Element of Chaos

You know was Element of Chaos reminds me of? That dumb tank-like robot in Robot Wars: Extreme Destruction. Except if you tried to flip it, it'd knock itself right back over because of RW:ED's awful physics engine.

Oh, and Ultima will pwn here.

Ultima = 100% (lock)

Peppernut vs. Lethal Injection

OOH. This oughta be good. But hard to predict. I'm thinking Lethal Injection's better wedge and control might help it out but I'm not sure.

Lethal Injection = 51%

Lightweights

Mr. Not Very Nice LW vs. Mobile Failure

I see the same thing with Pepperdine happening right here.

Mobile Failure = 80%

Recovered vs. Smoke and Mirrors

Yeah I don't think Smoke & Mirrors will be able to get in control here at all.

Recovered = 90%

Dr. Pepperdine vs. Old Soul

Dat axe.

Dr. Pepperdine = 90%

Don't Tread On Me vs. Hit 'em Hardest

It woulda been fun. I'd have put my money on Lewis.

Hit 'em Hardest = 75%

Vipoz vs. Jupiter 2 F

Difficult, actually. Vipoz has a wedge advantage but Jupiter 2 F has better drive.

Jupiter 2 F = 55%

Annoying Box Rush vs. Mercenary

Ugh. Get ready for lifting, shoving, and a whole lot of ramming-related things that the crowd don't like.

Annoying Box Rush = 60%

Scarab vs. Fatality

Fatality's pinballing will hinder it here.

Scarab = 70%

Frequency vs. Spike

Spike can't count on pinging Frequency out so he'll have to hope he can destroy Frequency before Frequency can wedge him and push him out.

Frequency = 65%

Poison vs. Tornedron

Can Transformers be poisoned? Well in Pokemon, Steel-types can't be, but that's an entirely different story.

Tornedron = 100% (lock)

Middleweights

Braveheart vs. Lightning

Braveheart needs to get back into it, pronto. Hopefully this FF should help get there. Not like if Rooster would win if he RP'd anyway. :P

Braveheart = 95%

Stingray vs. Long Arm of the Law

Long Arm of the Law has the crucial advantages here and he'll want to make use of them. I dunno though, Stingray's flipping attachment for the puncher has been effective...

Long Arm of the Law = 60%

Merry Hampton BR vs. Illusion of Grandeur

I'm sorry Massimo but there is just no way.

Merry Hampton BR = 100% (lock)

Green Dragon vs. The Green Hornet

Green Dragon needs his speed advantage here. He really does.

The Green Hornet = 60%

Lyra vs. Force Feedback

It'd be nice to see Force Feedback rebound from that close loss to Stingray. It looks possible.

Force Feedback = 55%

Fidchell vs. Solve et Coagula

A softer opponent this week, but no less deadly. SeC needs to make use of the hazards or he's doomed.

Fidchell = 65%

March or Die vs. Jupiter 2 H

Yeah playzooki looks like he's gonna get that playoff spot.

March or Die = 100% (lock)

Reaper vs. Bad Wolf

Man Reaper would be so much better if he had decent armour.

Bad Wolf = 80%

The "No" Patrol vs. V For Vendetta

The "No" Patrol = 75%

Oh. Fucking. Lord. Well something has to give...

V'Ger = 60%

Kraze vs. The Dark Side of Cupid

The Dark Side of Cupid = 90%

Mr. Death vs. S.O.T.A.R.

If only Mr. Death actually prevented shit from driving over top of him. He's just going to die here.

S.O.T.A.R. = 75%

Master of Puppets vs. Dead Ringer For Love

Dead Ringer may be slower, but MoP still has below-average armour. One hit could swing the balance.

Dead Ringer For Love = 65%

Snijmachine vs. Vertigo

Another case of Lewis losing even if he did RP. Long live the Snij!

Snijmachine = 75%

Cutie Honey vs. Klarinette

I want to say Peppernut will win but his speed advantage will not be enough. Shield has torque and wedge advantages and that proves essential.

Lyra vs. Force Feedback

It'd be nice to see Force Feedback rebound from that close loss to Stingray. It looks possible.

Force Feedback = 55%
Likewise, I'll need something to bounce back from what happened this week. Comparing our current results and past success- I'm sorry, but I think I need that win more. :v:

WEEK 7

LW:

Mr. Not Very Nice LW vs. Mobile Failure - (Land of Confusion)

Not much for the thwackbot to do here.

Mobile Failure-75%

Recovered vs. Smoke and Mirrors - (ARC Arena)

I kind of want to side with the numbers game, but I think Recovered might be able to hold them off enough to squeak this one out.

Recovered-60%

Dr. Pepperdine vs. Old Soul - (Casino Night Zone)

Dr. P will own this one.

Dr. Pepperdine-95%

Don't Tread On Me vs. Hit 'em Hardest - (Lumina Cloth)

Well, if lewis were here he’d have a good chance in this one.

Hit ‘em Hardest-70%

Vipoz vs. Jupiter 2 F - (Land of Confusion)

This is one of those garbage fights of the week.

Jupiter 2F-65%

Annoying Box Rush vs. Mercenary - (ARC Arena)

This is an awesome fight. After last week I’ll think twice before betting against Merc.

Mercenary-65%

Scarab vs. Fatality - (Casino Night Zone)

The potential for destruction is high. If Fatality could actually hit Scarab’s main body he could be on to something. But I don’t think he will.

Scarab-80%

Frequency vs. Spike - (Lumina Cloth)

Well take your pick. Spike is the more stable design, but Frequency does have wedges…

Frequency-60%

Poison vs. Tornedron - (Land of Confusion)

I’d assume Tornendron is a Steel type and Steel is immune to Poison!

Tornendron-95%

MW:

Braveheart vs. Lightning - (ARC Arena)

Things definitely look up for Braveheart this week.

Braveheart-95%

Stingray vs. Long Arm of the Law - (Casino Night Zone)

If Stingray could flip over Long Arm… But this isn’t the best arena to do that.

Long Arm of the Law-65%

Merry Hampton BR vs. Illusion of Grandeur - (Lumina Cloth)

Stupid brick.

Merry Hampton BR-95%

Green Dragon vs. The Green Hornet - (Land of Confusion)

ARC is going green! A tough match to call, but I’ll go slight for the Hornet

The Green Hornet-55%

Lyra vs. Force Feedback - (ARC Arena)

So who’s active weapon will have the most impact? Pretty sure that will be Feedback.

Force Feedback-70%

Fidchell vs. Solve et Coagula - (Casino Night Zone)

I might have said Fidchell, but the arena gives me pause. SeC just might be able to pull this one off.

Solve et Coagula-60%

March or Die vs. Jupiter 2 H - (Lumina Cloth)

Jupiter is going back into orbit.

March or Die-95%

Reaper vs. Bad Wolf - (Land of Confusion)

Looks pretty good for Bad Wolf.

Bad Wolf-75%

The "No" Patrol vs. V For Vendetta - (ARC Arena)

Again, if lewis were here… It’d be close.

V for Vendetta-55%

HW:

Grave Robber vs. Jupiter 2 V - (Casino Night Zone)

KE-RUNCH!

Grave Robber-90%

Final Judgement vs. NB2 - (Lumina Cloth)

Well… NB2 does have the wedge to throw Final Judgement out.

NB2-65%

Scoop vs. Anarchy - (Land of Confusion)

I’ll take the spinner.

Anarchy-70%

Ridley vs. V'Ger - (ARC Arena)

Hmm… two highly versatile spinners. I’d give more confidence to V’Ger if it actually had wedge points to make it’s wedges worthwhile. As it is, Ridley has a bit better range.

Ridley-55%

Kraze vs. The Dark Side of Cupid - (Casino Night Zone)

It’s a good arena for Kraze, but I think Cupid will be able to cut him up.

Dark Side of Cupid-70%

Mr. Death vs. S.O.T.A.R. - (Lumina Cloth)

If Mr. Death could find away to bounce SOTAR out before getting destroyed he could take it. Doesn’t seem likely though.

SOTAR-80%

Master of Puppets vs. Dead Ringer For Love - (Land of Confusion)

This is getting all too familiar for MoP.

Dead Ringer for Love-70%

Snijmachine vs. Vertigo - (ARC Arena)

Not too much for Vertigo to exploit so…

Snijmachine-90%

Cutie Honey vs. Klarinette - (Casino Night Zone)

I see lot’s of hammering and plowing going on here. Bow Chicka Bow Wow!

Cutie Honey-60%

SHW:

Lime-y vs. Corrupted Politician - (Lumina Cloth)

Yet another race to throw someone out!

Lime-y-55%

Spaulding vs. Phantasmic Slammer - (Land of Confusion)

All things considered this one could happen for Spaulding, but it’ll be an uphill battle.

Phantasmic Slammer-65%

Steak vs. Hephaestus - (ARC Arena)

Steak… soon to be Beef Tips.

Hephaestus-95%

Inflammatory Slammer vs. Reaver - (Casino Night Zone)

Another one lewis is missing out on.

Inflammatory Slammer-65%

Manta vs. Lethal Injection - (Lumina Cloth)

Yeah well, someone’s going to fly aren’t they?

Lethal Injection-70%

Element of Chaos vs. Teresa - (Land of Confusion)

When continuing your win streak just isn’t easy enough.

Teresa-95%

Jack Frost vs. Curse of the Deep - (ARC Arena)

I have lot’s of unsavory comments about the complete impracticality of CotD, but I dunno…

Jack Frost-55%

Peppernut vs. Reflector Shield - (Casino Night Zone)

Intriguing. In a rammer battle in the hazard box, I’ll go with the Shield.

Reflector Sheild-65%

Ultima vs. Jupiter 2 P - (Lumina Cloth)

Yeah sure.

WEEK 8

LW:

Dr. Pepperdine vs. Don't Tread On Me - (ARC Arena)

That uber-plow will not save Tread here. It’s hammer time!

Dr. Pepperdine-80%

Poison vs. Scarab - (Land of Confusion)

Poison’s weapon is just too awkward to do much here, so this should be back to the KO’s for Scarab.

Scarab-95%

Tornendron vs. Frequency - (Lumina Cloth)

Didn’t Frequency just have a fight like this? Well Tornendron is a bit different from Spike, but Frequency’s wedges may once again be the final difference maker.

Frequency-60%

Fatality vs. Vipoz - (Casino Night Zone)

Destruction reigns supreme!

Fatality-70%

Spike vs. Annoying Box Rush - (ARC Arena)

Spike can cause some significant damage to ABR no doubt, but ABR should be able to keep this one in hand.

Annoying Box Rush-70%

Jupiter 2 F vs. Mr. Not Very Nice LW - (Land of Confusion)

Eh, give this one to the thwackbot.

Mr. Not Very Nice LW-80%

Mercenary vs. Recovered - (Lumina Cloth)

Merc’s superior control ability shall triumph!

Mercenary-75%

Old Soul vs. Mobile Failure - (Casino Night Zone)

This looks pretty cut and dry in Mobile Failure’s favor.

Hit 'em Hardest vs. Smoke and Mirrors - (ARC Arena)

This one looks like it should go to the cluster, even if lewis were here.

Smoke and Mirrors-70%

MW:

Fidchell vs. March or Die - (Land of Confusion)

Not a simple fight to call. If Fidchell can avoid getting flipped she can take it, but that’s probably easier said than done.

Fidchell-55%

Jupiter 2 H vs. The "No" Patrol - (Lumina Cloth)

Hey, that wedge on No Patrol could actually come in handy here!

The No Patrol-80%

Solve et Coagula vs. Bad Wolf - (Casino Night Zone)

This probably won’t be much fun for Solve.

Bad Wolf-70%

Green Dragon vs. Reaper - (ARC Arena)

Not looking good for Reaper. Green Dragon all the way.

Green Dragon-95%

Force Feedback vs. V For Vendetta - (Land of Confusion)

Feedback looks to be in the clear on this one.

Force Feedback-80%

Stingray vs. Lyra - (Lumina Cloth)

And another one of these fights. Some skill, some luck. Stingray?

Stingray-65%

Braveheart vs. The Green Hornet - (Casino Night Zone)

Ick, not a great arena for Hornet, and Braveheart is no slouch. This could be the end of Hornet’s streak.

Braveheart-65%

Merry Hampton BR vs. Long Arm of the Law - (ARC Arena)

This is pretty much a toss-up. Long Arm is a bit more versatile though.

Long Arm of the Law-60%

Lightning vs. Illusion of Grandeur - (Land of Confusion)

Illusion has this one pretty handedly.

Illusion of Grandeur-85%

HW:

Scoop vs. Jupiter 2 V - (Lumina Cloth)

Jupiter should be going over the edge, but he’ll probably win the coin toss.

Jupiter 2V-2 out of 3

Ridley vs. NB2 - (Casino Night Zone)

The arena is good for NB2, but he’ll have to survive the offensive power of Ridley.

Ridley-70%

Anarchy vs. The Dark Side of Cupid - (ARC Arena)

Double spinner fight. I’m going with the undercutter here.

Dark Side of Cupid-70%

Kraze vs. V'Ger - (Land of Confusion)

Kraze held up well against Cupid, so there’s some hope here.

V’Ger-60%

Cutie Honey vs. S.O.T.A.R. - (Lumina Cloth)

SOTAR just might be the bot to topple Cutie Honey… if this was any other fucking arena.

Cutie Honey-70%

Vertigo vs. Dead Ringer For Love - (Casino Night Zone)

Dead Ringer for a win more like.

Dead Ringer For Love-80%

Final Judgement vs. Master of Puppets - (ARC Arena)

A reasonably favorable matchup for MoP and a welcome change from all the spinners he’s had lately.

Master of Puppets-70%

Mr. Death vs. Grave Robber - (Land of Confusion)

This should go to the spinner. Not much for Mr. Death to do.

Grave Robber-75%

Klarinette vs. Snijmachine - (Lumina Cloth)

A great arena for Klarinette. This doesn’t look good for the unbeaten DUTCHout.

Klarinette-65%

SHW:

Spaulding vs. Corrupted Politician - (Casino Night Zone)

Welp, Spaulding may have a chance here.

Spaulding-55%

Teresa vs. Jack Frost - (ARC Arena)

Teresa-55%

Curse of the Deep vs. Manta - (Land of Confusion)

Logically it would be Manta all day every day, but logic doesn’t seem to apply so I could be wrong...

Manta-95%

Phantasmic Slammer vs. Steak - (Lumina Cloth)

Lime-y vs. Inflammatory Slammer - (Casino Night Zone)

Gee, Slammer would be a championship contender if lewis hadn’t disappeared.

Reaver vs. Ultima - (ARC Arena)

Reaver is the more stable bot and doesn’t have the big bonus goof.

Reaver-75%

Hephaestus vs. Peppernut - (Land of Confusion)

Aha, this one seems to favor the spinner, since even if Peppernut can tank the hits, what else is he really going to do?

Lightweights

Dr. Pepperdine = 70%

Poison vs. Scarab

Bug-types used to be super effective against Poison-types in Gen 1, and vice-versa.

Scarab = 100% (lock)

Tornedron vs. Frequency

See Frequency vs. Spike for what's going to happen. That streak will get snapped.

Frequency = 70%

Fatality vs. Vipoz

Mr. AS has the tools to conquer.

Fatality = 80%

Spike vs. Annoying Box Rush

Not seeing a whole lot Spike can do to the annoying bugger.

Annoying Box Rush = 75%

Jupiter 2 F vs. Mr. Not Very Nice LW

Eh, give it to the thwackbot.

Mr. Not Very Nice LW = 55%

Mercenary vs. Recovered

It depends. Who'll get under who first? Who can keep them under control? Mercenary can grab things, but Recovered has the tendency to escape that comes with its axlebot nature.

Recovered = 60%

Old Soul vs. Mobile Failure

Old Soul actually has a chance, just not a good one. He has to try and wedge Mobile Failure with his better wedge and hope that he can kill off Failure via the hazards. It's not likely, but the chance is there.

Mobile Failure = 70%

Hit 'em Hardest vs. Smoke and Mirrors

HeHest would have this if Lewis RP'd.

Hit 'em Hardest = 75%

Middleweights

Fidchell vs. March or Die

With an arena like this, not much MoD can do. Look for Alteiriaa to get the sweep over playzooki.

Fidchell = 80%

Jupiter 2 H vs. The "No" Patrol

Yeah I think Badnik can do it.

The "No" Patrol = 90%

Solve et Coagula vs. Bad Wolf

If SeC can get Wolf to the hazards...

Bad Wolf = 51%

Green Dragon vs. Reaper

So uh... death?

Green Dragon = 90%

Force Feedback vs. V For Vendetta

Not the best match-up, but Lewis could've given Alex a good fight.

Force Feedback = 60%

Stingray vs. Lyra

Lyra just can't deal with these punch bots can she? Don't think that things will change here.

Stingray = 80%

Braveheart vs. The Green Hornet

Look for another streak to be broken.

Braveheart = 85%

Merry Hampton BR vs. Long Arm of the Law

I think Mr. AS could take it if he RPs well.

Long Arm of the Law = 65%

Lightning vs. Illusion of Grandeur

Lightning will not strike today.

Illusion of Grandeur = 100% (lock)

Heavyweights

Scoop vs. Jupiter 2 V

Scoop would have it if EITHER OF THEM RP'd.

Scoop = 75%

Ridley vs. NB2

Oh sheesh. Helloface has a chance here. It will be pain-staking though, since Ridley not only outspeeds NB2 but has a thwack tail as back-up, and THAT ALONE could defeat NB2.

Ridley = 75%

Anarchy vs. The Dark Side of Cupid

Surprisingly I see Anarchy winning. Cupid's disc is way too low to do actual damage and Anarchy will just take out that weapon axle.

Of course, we can't count on MassimoV RPing well, given what we just saw with the IoG RP. :P Otherwise...

Anarchy = 65%

Kraze vs. V'Ger

Well Kraze had the arena advantage against Cupid, Josh. I don't think Kraze can do much in this instance. Flip V'Ger and he's ready to go. This match goes to Spatch.

V'Ger = 75%

Cutie Honey vs. S.O.T.A.R.

Have to agree with Josh. SOTAR would own this if it wasn't the fucking sumo arena.

Cutie Honey = 75%

Vertigo vs. Dead Ringer For Love

DEAD RINGEEEEEEEEER

Dead Ringer For Love = 95%

Final Judgement vs. Master of Puppets

Yeah GF93 has this in the bag. AT LEAST IT'S NOT ANOTHER SPINNER.

Master of Puppets = 75%

Mr. Death vs. Grave Robber

Badnik's ideal arena.

Grave Robber = 75%

Klarinette vs. Snijmachine

Not that lopsided. Remember how well Hephaestus held out against Reflector Shield. Still...

Klarinette = 55%

Superheavyweights

Spaulding vs. Corrupted Politician

Spaulding pls.

Spaulding = 75%

Teresa vs. Jack Frost

Oh fuck me. Well Jack Frost needs to get by that big-ass scoop to get anything going.

Teresa = 60%

Curse of the Deep vs. Manta - (Land of Confusion)

And now Spatula must face the bot he wrote matches for! But I think he's easily got this.

Manta = 85%

Phantasmic Slammer vs. Steak

Anybody remember that Steak boss from Earthworm Jim 2? I think it was called Flamin' Yawn. Well, it'd put up a much better fight than that bot with the atrociously long name that I refuse to acknowledge.

Phantasmic Slammer = 95%

Lime-y vs. Inflammatory Slammer

Lewis' match if he RP'd. Man I really miss the chap. :(

Inflammatory Slammer = 80%

Reaver vs. Ultima

The "iceberg" to melt.

Reaver = 80%

Hephaestus vs. Peppernut

Yeah I think Alex has this. Peppernut can't utilize any hazards.

Hephaestus = 70%

Jupiter 2 P vs. Element of Chaos

Uhhhhhh...

Jupiter 2 P = 60%

Reflector Shield vs. Lethal Injection

Oh fuck, the OTHER match. Well I could see Lethal Injection's active weaponry and better maneouvrability helping it out more but I'm not sure.

I've seen him, but really, I'm not too worried. I've beaten him before with the slower and weaker Psyclone in Ruination: The Beginning, so with a much faster and more powerful machine than last time with double his Traction and 15 external armour compared to his 7, I reckon I stand a good chance of doing it again.

Could go either way granted, but don't count me out just yet.

Ugh, you know what I mean. And even then- I read up on what happened in that earlier, and ultimately I think the Traction was one of the big things that worked against Josh there, along with his much shorter attacking range and smaller teeth. I'm not exactly the sharpest one in the drawer, but I do think that my bigger teeth and better control/stability could well pull it back in my favour- particularly if I can wreck his bar early on and/or knock him around with the recoil.

No, I don't think we do. Lower traction? Then you could basically write off Luna's championship. :P

It was basically their high-powered weapons coming into contact with each other so often that the weapons died out. There was no avoiding that, considering both robots had 360-degree attack range, and huge weapon power while neither had too much of a weapon advantage over the other. That left Frequency free to use its wedge.

I don't know how you interpreted it the way you did, but whatever you're smoking to have thought of that, I want some. :P
