Chatango requires the following (all free): 1.Flash Player 2.A Chatango Account 3.HTML Code for the Chatango Mini Chat Window Or... 4.HTML Code for a Chatango Button (for web sites, forums, e-mails and ads) Or... 5.HTML Code for a Chatango Link (for e-mail or forum signature) 6.MessageCatcher (currently only for Windows (95, 98, ME, 2000, XP - no spyware) (Brent, 2006, http://brentsplace.info/im.shtml#chatango) OKAY. So. We've established that the chatbox hates you. That's most likely because: 1. you need to read the FAQ of that chatbox: http://www.chatango.com/page?FAQ 2. you are doinnit wrong!!! (go back one space to 1.) 3. you freak out (Breathe. If you still can't figure out what to do, talk here) 4. your computer is crazy/sick/senile and it needs a doctor (I wish I were a technician) 5. the internet you are using is regulated and it bans chatango (can't do anything about that... sadly) P.S: it's FREE and it's AWESOME. I'm not kiddin'. Elaboration on 2.: It keeps logging you out when you go to another page. That may be due to you using a temporary username. Don't. Just go sign up. If it STILL kicks you out, log in, click on your icon and it will open up to another page. At the top right hand corner, you will see "logout". Click it and it will log you out and send you to a login page. There is a button underneath that says "Remember me". Click it and login WITH it CHECKED. Note for certain* people (not all):* If you go back or forward to another page, Chatango automatically logs you off. So you need to keep the chat window displayed to stay logged in. To go to another web page, open a new window if using Internet Explorer 6.0 or an older version, or a new tab if using Internet Explorer 7.0, Firefox, Opera, or another browser that has a tab feature (Brent, 2006, http://brentsplace.info/im.shtml#chatango). Elaboration on 3.: Some 99 year old creep is talking to me!! What should I do?? (the answer lies in the FAQ under "What if I don't want ot be contacted by strangers?") OR you can ignore him/her. It's not hard. They can't threaten you (not credibly anyway), they can't touch you, they can't get your information, they can't see you, they can't hear you, they don't know you. Click it and login WITH it CHECKED. I did that 3 times last night, and that was after I downloaded the little Message Catcher thingie. And it still kicked me off every time I switched pages. Edit: In fact, it just did it again, right after I did the whole logout/login-with-remember-me-checked thing.

Posts: 685 Group: · Member #338 Joined: August 27, 2008	After you checked the little box, there will be a pop up that asks if the computer should remember you, did you say "yes" to that? Okay, if you still can't, then you probably using an old Explorer 6.0/7.0 or Firefox, Opera. So you need to keep the chat window displayed to stay logged in. Just log in, and leave that page open and don't touch it. Don't use that page to go anywhere else. If you want to go to another page, just open another window or open it in another tab and use that window/tab to browse the forums. I've updated the first post. See if that helps. I didn't even get a warning from my pop-up blocker that anything had tried to pop up. Quote: So you need to keep the chat window displayed to stay logged in.
