Quotes:

Gilliland on Atlanta Motor Speedway:

“I love Atlanta. It’s my favorite track. It has everything that a driver could want. It’s fast, really fast. It has a few good racing grooves. It allows for some sweet side-by-side racing, and as a driver, it let’s you move around the track to find the lane that works best for you. It makes for an awesome race to watch. There are always a ton of passes for the lead; I just hope that the FreeCreditReport.com Fusion is the one up front mixing it up.”

On the No. 25 team’s start to the season:

“We’ve gotten off to a rough start. We got taken out of the race in Mexico, no fault of our own. We had a blown oil seal last weekend in Vegas. Basically we’ve had a lot of bad luck – bad things have happened that aren’t in our control. What I’m optimistic about is that we’ve got great people and great equipment on this team and we’ll rebound. We’ve shown huge potential and have run well during the races. If we can shake the bad luck spell, we’ll have a bunch of good runs heading our way.

“I’m optimistic about what I saw in Vegas. We didn’t finish well, but we had a great car. We go to more mile-and-a-half tracks than anything else, and Vegas was a good litmus test of what we can expect at the other mile-and-a-halves that we race at. Our car felt great in practice and raced really well, so the future looks bright ahead. I just need to find a good luck charm.”
