Ok 2 weeks ago truck went crazy. Shifted from 1st to 2nd. Then got stuck there. Happened when I hit exactly 40 mph. Took to tranny shop for 2 weeks. Been basically rebuilt. Everything replaced and still not working. Then was told pcm was the problem. Seems dodge had them recalled for this problem. They can reprogram for free. But nearest dealer is 150 miles away. Can I drive my auto trans truck that far without hiotting 40 and being ok? I'm thinking it should take me about 5 hours. I plan on going and making some rest stops along the way. I hope thing will work. And I'm hoping burning a lot of fuel will be the worst thing to happen. What do you guys think? Oh, also I have no way of towing it.

:s good luck!! My blazer was the same only had second and third gear though. Second that far and revving that high to me don't sound like its to healthy for your truck. Hope you make it there with out needing to call a tow truck.

I made it. 200 miles in about 7 hours. Damn it sucked. But kept it at a nice pace. Just fevved it a few times. Took route 66 most of the way between gallup and albuquerque nm. Didn't get much kicks though. But now I'm here and getting the pcm reprogrammed tomorrow.

took it to dodge. hooked it up to diagnostics. says cat converter is at half efficiency. anyone ever change a cat before? they told me for them to do it plus all 4 O2 sensors would run me 1300. ha ha. yeah. thats gonna happen. 02s are no problem for me but never did the converter before. how is it on a scale from 1 to 10? anyway they reset everything and now it runs fine esp. with the newly rebuilt tranny.
