Someone had information about the 5 speeds manual transmission available with the 287. Is that the same one with the 3.7 v6 ? Or the older 3.9 ?

add me to the list of wanting to know (research tonight maybe)

I would believe the smaller engines would have a different first/second gear ratio to get out of the hole better

apparantly the bellhousing pattern is the same as the LA series engines 318,340 but i may have mis interpreted that information.

My 02 4.7 4x4 has the NV 3500 and I replaced it with a NV 3500 from an 01 3.9 4x4. Same 4:1 1st gear in both. Some of the 2wds may have had a 3.5:1 first gear.
I think 04 was the only year the NV 3500 was used behind the 3.7 since they went to a 6spd Getrag with the 05 body change.

The bellhousing is the same as the smallblock LA, Magnums and Hemi engines.
