mine has the 545rfe :headbang this was a mistake done by chrysler. a good one, jeep cherokee owners were complaining about too much in cab noise while cruising dodge came up with an ew flash in the tcu that causes lower rpms while cruising and then it worked out good in jeeps and they threw it in everything.

well had a look at mine. i have the four plug PCU. So i'll have to go another rout to get the fifth gear. Any reprogram info from anybody on here?

well no need to look any further. all i had to do was open the glove box and look at the build sheet. Jan 2003, 5 speed automatic transmission

haha, yea i was gunna say.... the fifth gear isnt really a "gear" so to speak so most of the time you cant even feel it shift.

ya. And most of the time i am driving it I am pulling a travel trailer, OD off. Still a very good and inexpensive mod for the older trucks. Especially when it will pay for itself in a month of driving.
